@nomoredramaq1015 that does sound frustrating! DH is pretty good about getting me stuff I want, but usually about 2 years after I drop the suggestion. Still waiting on a cricut. Should just buy it myself. On another note, have you seen Groove Bags science shoes? You were the first person who popped in my head when I saw them. I've no experience with the company, but the shoes look pretty fun. If they made them in kids sizes I'd probably order like 5 pairs for DS. www.groovebags.com/collections/scienceWhat is wrong with you people and your enabling? I'm up to five pairs of shoes and one purse I want.

I bought 2 of the tote bags for the Christmas swap thing my family started doing a couple of years ago. I think they'll be stolen a couple of times. I'll toss in some gift cards or something as I think we've got a $25 limit.
There's a code for an additional 10% off I think it was Winter10.

How fast is the shipping? I feel like my window to shop online before Christmas is slipping.

ETA - I'll let you guys know when they arrive.
ETA2 - I think they're shipping from Oregon.

2 months post injury and I am feeling if not like myself at least not like someone in constant pain. The steroid injection was a good call and I think I have the best PT person ever who has really gotten me to where I am now. I have a follow up with her in January, but she's released me for all activity and told me to push myself as hard as I can.
I've been going to my weapons classes for a few weeks now. At first I'd be so stiff I could barely get my socks and shoes on at the end of class. This Monday I stayed for my first unarmed class, but under the condition that we weren't doing any rolls or falls. Last night I went to another unarmed class that ended up being all rolls and break falls and I got through it. I sat out on the rear rolls and the throws. I felt good but very stiff at the end of class (but could get my socks on without help!) Today I'm exercise sore from a hard workout but that's it.
It's hard not to be super frustrated at how weak I am. I hate that this now qualifies as a hard workout for me. I lost all of my strength in such a short period of time. But I can get it back now and that's what matters.

DH lost his job. He got pulled into the office, told they weren't happy with him and that he was done being employed there. He went from being a fantastic employee before the buyout then all of a sudden after buy out he could do no right.
Look I know DH has not been the award winning model employee like I have been but he's done a complete 180 and jumped every time they said to He's been putting in 12+ hour days and going in on weekends EVERYTHING they have asked of him to do since they said he "needed to improve" after they were bought out in April.
His supervisor is never there. She has been heavily abusing the work at home policy. I can count on one hand the number of times she's been in the office in a month so HOW exactly was she able to determine his performance was not up to task? She violated the PIP by not meeting with him weekly to discuss his progress. The customers all love him, he's been netting record sales for the company and even managed to move product that couldn't previously be sold. So WTF?
I am so overwhelmed right now I want to curl up at my desk and cry. Why the fuck can't we catch a break?!
I am also now terrified of him relapsing due to this. On top of how the hell we are going to afford all our bills. Just as we were fucking getting ahead.

Oh hell Drama. I'm sorry. Can he go work at the restaurant full time? Is he capable of doing that? Can he prove the PIP was violated so he'll get unemployment?

IDK. It's possible but the HR department is all the way in Greeley. I don't they give two shits about what is going on in a teeny tiny little subdivision in Omaha Nebraska.
I don't get it, he was bringing in record sales, the customers loved him and he was even managing to move product JBS had deemed unsellable. WTF was he doing that was so terrible it warranted being fired? Especially when SHE is abusing the attendence policy?
Dad will do what he can with hours. It'll at least pay DH's car payment and maybe a couple other bills. My mom is right and I need to not be worried about our credit, if I trash it by paying bare minimum or late on the CCs so be it. We already own the house and won't need cars for another 5 years or more. I have to focus on daycare, the mortgage, our cars and food.

Did they find out about his relapse and just panicked?
ETA - Did he have bonuses due or something and they just don't want to pay them? And would any of the his customers that loved him be interested in hiring him?

Yes he had a rather big bonus coming in February because like it or not he's met all the goals JBS set to get one. Which is why I don't understand why this happened. He just got a review that stated he was adequetly performing his job. I know he's not lying to me about that because he brought it home to show me because he wanted me to look over it to see if there was anything he missed.
I got him convinced to call HR. Yes DH was put on a PIP for a reason but she did not follow the rules outlined in the PIP. Course there is no documentation HE did either but still.
I also convinced him to talk to his customer contacts and then reach out to the old owner of the company. It's not ideal but she had her own side business going on in similar product and wants to take it live. It might not be a ton of money but it would be better than $0.
I don't have a lot to do so I've been on Indeed. I found one he is totally qualified for and two maybes. Course we'll probably never find one that pays as much as this company was. I unfortunately do not have a copy of DH's resume in my google docs, need to remedy that.

Hugs drama. It is tough to lose a job, holiday time makes it even rougher.
I have seen this happen to a lot of us more “experienced” workers. It is tough to go through, but everyone has come out with a decent situation, although it can take time. I was laid off in March just after bonus time. I basically had to sign I wouldn’t sue to get bonus and severance. I got approved for UI but never collected since I was doing contract work until I got permanent job.
He should contact HR about severance/bonus. They will probably try to not give it to him.

Here , even if you get fired, if your company usually gives a bonus, it will be prorated up to the end date. Talk to HR and see if you have any documents on that.

I'm really sorry, NomoreDramaQ1015 . That sucks monkey balls. He should file for unemployment immediately (you know that, I'm sure) and I agree with the above, call HR and get any severance/bonus payable.

If he was fired he cannot collect in Nebraska. You can try six months after termination.
We've been thru this before.
At any rate the most you can collect is $250 a week and we have to pay taxes on it.
He's better off working for dad at $9/he and not nearly the amount of hurdles to jump. By the time you get done with all the requirements just to get your weekly UE you got no time to interview.
All in the name of keeping you from being a mooch yanno. I'll wait tables again before I ever apply for UE again.

It may be I am reading too much conspiracy theories over on P&M but DH was telling me how awful they have been treating the other office person and how they have started monitoring her hours too. Since she's hourly they are nagging her down to the minute and also implied she was not working hard enough in her review too. On top of that DH's supervisor has regularly been in "training"" in Greeley and originally presented it as she was going to bring back this stuff for dh to learn too. When DH asked he was told it was nothing for him to learn. I wonder if dad was right. When Greeley was on the table dad pointed out it would be very easy for them to lure us out there, have DH show someone else the ropes then fire him in a year. I wonder if his boss has been out there all this time training someone to do his job remotely. Given the abuse they have been heaping on the accountant person I imagine the same thing is happening with her position. DH said she was gone and did not return after her lunch either.

While I am worried the more I think the more I feel this was inevitable. Yes DH made a mistake but she was not following procedures either on purpose or because she's a crappy supervisor so she's no saint in the matter.
I started feeling like the writing was on the wall back in April. You don't go from being star sales person who got the highest Christmas bonus to doing no right in just a few months. You don't have corporate thrilled with you and a good review to straight to PIP and termination.
I'm thinking he was set up to fail. They kept him on long enough to smooth take over then pushed him out. I would not be surprised if she is being offered a sweet deal in Greeley and eventually the Omaha office will be gone.
I'm going to focus on mortgage, daycare, cars and food and dance around the rest. If I screw my credit oh well I don't need it right now. Working for dad is not a lot but it'll keep us afloat especially now that DH is off the accounts.
Hopefully he finds something quickly.

NomoreDramaQ1015 I thought good thoughts for you this morning. I told chiver78 that I'd wave my magic wand for a successful open house tomorrow. As long as I have it out and all charged up, I'm going to wave it for you, too. Anybody else needing a magic wand intervention? Speak up!

Thanks Miss R. Despite the side effects I do think the anxiety meds achieved my goal of rewiring my brain. While I am stressed I'm still in the driver's seat.
And one of us needs to be right now.
It also helps my job is now stable. No worrying my job is going to go poof before he can find one. I also make more which helps with keeping us afloat.
I carry our benefits and HSA so DH can keep going to therapy till he starts a new job. Then we'll have to figure out something else.
We could be worse. A is unemployed and mooching off her kids working for dad. Another one is homeless and quite possibly a drug addict.
One of us could have a terminal illness or the kids could.
This sucks but people all over lose jobs and worse every day. I can't afford to wallow.

We don't have to do anything but log in and check a few boxes that we've been looking for work. Ex 2.0 was still getting his UE when he was in jail! Sorry to hear about the job loss. I think it takes a special kind of asshole to let someone go right before Christmas.

Nebraska is second only to Florida in having the most restrictive and complicated rules for receiving UE.
They like to brag about their low UE statistics. It's not everyone has a job it's nobody bothers to apply.
It really sucks to work in Nebraska.
