NESCAFE SINGLES HOUND ALERT: For anyone who bought these at WAGs and has a few that they can spare, would it be possible to stick a few in the mail to me for the cost of a stamp? DH plans to camp for two nights with his brother at the end of the month. We do not drink instant coffee and it bugs me to buy a whole jar only to see it go stale. I know that is seems like a dumb request, but I thought I might as well throw it out there rather than to waste $3 or $4 on instant coffee. I did not get the Qs, so I did not do the deal at WAGs. dancinmama, Do you mean stick a few of the single packs in an envelope? I can do that if you confirm that is what you are asking. I have only the regular flavor - not the decaf. PM me with details.

MizBear, thanks! I was more upset about missing out on CSI, as I feel that Al Qaeda is more like a hydra, cut off one head and more appear.

Jdnstl: Your Q's were mailed today. Bluesclues: Thanks a bunch!
I tried getting out of the CVS game today and was going to get the Pepsi products almost free and with $5.00 ECB plus MQ, get the Tide. Well, it didn't work. I didn't know Pringles wasn't part of the deal so I didn't get ECB. I did get 2 Crests (raincheck), 1 Colgate and 1 Tide. I have $1.00 ECB on my card and $3.00 on DH's card. I'll keep them to buy papers if nothing else looks good. I also have $19.00 on a giftcard but I think I'm going to just concentrate my energy on Rite Aid. I like having UPs to spend and sometimes getting a SCR.

The reality is that there are many errors, and usually it is not in the customer's favor. Please remember or make a habit of checking your receipts. I have "caught" many errors, and none have ever been in my favor. What is troubling is this: How long has this scanning error been going on? How many days? Customers? How many other items are being scanned incorrectly; and in the store's favor? This is the msg I replied to the other day, but for some reason (ahem - probably user error here) it didn't post. So I'm trying again. I totally agree with you SuziQ. The only time an error has been in my favor has been due to human error, not the computer system. Awhile ago, Safeway had a new flavor of organic yogurt, that was priced lower as an enticement. I had purchased a bunch of them when I did a large grocery order. Many weeks later, I happened to purchase just 1 with a few items. And - whaddya know - the yogurt rang up as regular price, even though it was supposed to be on this special sale! Unfortunately, I didn't have my receipt from the prior order, which is annoying, because I am SURE that I overpaid that time. I used to be very able to catch these things, but due to a severe injury I suffered last year, many things are difficult for me now. It is hard for me to check prices now at the register. But I do plan a lot of my trips out, so that helps with knowing something is off. Unfortunately, I can't catch things as quick as I did. And it really isn't right that they have things programmed wrong. It puts the onus on the consumer.

It makes me sick to think that people are actually looting what little some of the storm survivors have left...how can anyone do that and live with themselves? mommy: I hope everything turns out ok for your family. Please be careful and let us know if we can do anything to help. Hi Ladies, Thanks for all the well wishes. I am sick over the looting as well. I have been busy helping with cleanup and making phone calls with info for services. There is something you all can do for me though. The Ivory q's $1 from 5/1 and anything else that would be free (personal hygiene) that I can donate would be greatly appreciated. Those are some of the immediate needs in the area. Thanks for all your help.

I am currently going through what is left of my q's to try to respond to hound alerts. My ex-SIL is losing her job by no fault of her own, so I have given her coupons to use so we could stock her up with food to get her through for the in between job period. Please send good juju her way. I do have to say though- she saved a bundle between sales, coupons, loyalty cards, etc.

leanna: Thanks, I did get it; but the samples won't arrive for 6-8 weeks which is too late for when I need the coffee. I will put them in a ziploc and put them in the freezer in hopes that they can be used next time though.

Was anyone else lucky enough to find the special "double packs" of Noxema razors at Wags?! I had seen them there for weeks and weeks and weeks but never thought they'd still have any. There were 2 packs way in the back of all the others. Not only was I able to get 2 4pks at $1 MM, each of the 2 packs also have a $2 MC in them!

I decided to take a pass on them. Venus is my fav and I have several of them in my stockpile. I used my Splenda RRs to buy the Gum Eeze flossers (DH used the ones I got at CVS and decided that he LOVES them) for $2 and (4) cans of Geisha mushrooms. I paid $.19 in tax for the Gum Eeze and got a $2RR back. I am probably going to use the $2RRs to buy some of the $1 boxes of dried fruit for our earthquake/emergency readiness tub unless I see something else that catches my eye.

As soon as I realized though, I called her out on it. Why she keeps bringing up the same old same old problem is beyond me.

I wanted to reply back, since I shop a lot of organic and shop at Trader Joes every week for milk, yogurt and a lot of other staples, but I saw that there was a lot of history and I decided to keep quiet. Since I spend next to nothing or get paid to buy all household stuff, I can splurge on organic food, milk and yogurt now. Thanks a lot for the deals ladies.

Rubyslippers You have mail!
I just got through reading over the April posts from you ladies. Thank you so much.
UPDATE: My brothers friend and his wife are ok. They had gone to a friends house. A good thing since there is now only rubble where house had been. Another friend of mine and his wife are ok. There house is destroyed and they spent the night in hospital with injuries but they are alive. Thank God for all the miracles of this past week. I am totally overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and offers of help during this disaster. It has been truly amazing.
Dancin Something we have learned this week you need in emergency preparedness is cash. During power outage you cannot process credit cards, pump gas or many other things that you take for granted. We had to drive for miles to get gas for chainsaws and generators and diesel for equipment to move debris out of roadways. At least with cash you can get some of the basics that you need.
Hound Alert! I truly appreciate the offers of help. I posted this earlier but once more won't hurt. Anything that would be free with q's, such as toothpaste, TB, soap, deodorant and any other items of a personal hygiene nature, are greatly needed in all areas right now.
Also mentioned by another hound was Samaritan's Purse, they are in our state and have been doing such great work. Also CJ's Bus (kids safe play area to help them cope), Firehouse Subs bus (feeding survivors and volunteers) and so many other organizations from all over the country. Thanks to them all.

It was basically a rinse and repeat of a discussion we had with her several months ago on the MSN board. Some people really don't want to be helped. <<sigh>>
