I think I'm jaded because I'm not seeing the courtesy and respect for others so I'm taking it out on everyone. My worst experience was a little over a week ago when a customer was actually screaming at the cashier because the cashier wouldn't take all her coupons. The customer was trying to use 6 of the same coupons on just one $6 item to get it down to nothing. She insisted that she had read that this was allowed and was being very cruel about it. It bothers me so much to see the cashier being treated like that. Oh goodness, that is just nuts. See, I think that kind of thing is definitely from the EC show. They show a person buying stuff and handing over a huge stack of coupons. And people talking about how they don't use money to buy groceries, they use their big stack of coupons (which they refer to as Bibles, which just creeps me out.) Ya, that kind of creeps me out too, but I've never been a binder person (too time consuming) so I guess I can't relate.

I super scored at WAGS after work. Bought 6 right guard deodorants (4 with the sample BW attached) which were BOGO and I had three BOGO Q's, 3 Ecotrin for .99 with three $1.50 Q's and 4 Arizona Ice Teas for .99 (BOGO) for a TOTAL OOP OF $1.44. And besides that I had a great coupon friendly cashier who was loving my deal!! That always helps. My kids laugh but just yesterday at daughter's for holiday cookout and my SIL needed deodorant and BW. I said don't you dare buy it, I have tons. I was happy to share with them. BTW I have never bought the Arizona Ice Tea but I bought the the Diet Peach and Oo La La, I love it. I may have to go back and get more since they are BOGO this week and I have RR's. I love Arizona Diet Peach tea.

Yesterday at Walmart I bought JMS shirt for $3.00-5.00 MQ(May: All You)= $2.00 overage. I pricematched foil from Wags ad 2 @$1.99- 2.00 MQ-$2.00 overage to get them free, plus the foil had an extra 5 feet.
At CVS today I had $1.00 ECB on DH and my cards. I got the M & M's, Preparation H, 4 pepsi products and an 8 pack of Sparkle paper towels. I have $3.00 ECB's left on my card but cleaned his out. I spent nothing OOP as I still have money left on a giftcard. Today was the first time since May 2 that I've been to CVS. My stockpile is decent and I don't see the deals that I had in the past so I'm staying put.
Speaking of new couponers, I can remember how excited I was to save money using coupons. I got a little too zealous at Meijers with their Kraft dressing sale one year and bought too much. Nothing makes me as mad when I have to throw out food due to waste. What I thought was such a good deal wasn't because I had too much that expired too fast. Today I pay more attention to what I have and what I need and the expiration date on food. I have a good coupon now that will double and I could get it today for free, but I have enough for now. Coupon expires later this summer so I'll use it then. If I still have too much, then I'll donate it.
Leanna: thanks for the offer of the Marzetti Q, but I have enough for now. I'm trying to get through the summer with enough of that and then stock up again before the holidays and before the coupons expires.
Caiwa: You are so lucky to live so close to the stores. I am in a rural area and have to drive a distance to reach the stores, so when I do make a trip, it is a long one.

Wow!! After what I've read about ya'll's frustration with WAGS (I haven't been there for a deal in a really long time!), I went over to a local blog and she has what I think is a really GREAT post about shelf clearing! Check it out here: www.savingmoneyinmissouri.com/ AMEN!!!

I haven't jumped on buying aluminum at Wags because I have a good amount of aluminum right now, and I don't want to spend a buck. I'm going to keep your scenario in mind, in case I happen to end up near a Wal-mart sometime this week. I hear ya on the dressing and expiration issue. I tend to under-buy mayo, miracle whip & salad dressings because I've had to throw some out due to them going bad. Nothing major, but even throwing out one bottle makes me mad. I'd rather just pay full price for a bottle (gasp - ok, don't everybody keel over) than be throwing out tons of these perishable items. It's one of the things I noticed on the original EC program that aired back in late December. The Krazy Coupon Lady had an entire shelf-full of Kraft dressing and my first thought was "That is going to go bad. Unless she & her family eat it morning, noon & night. LOL." Ok, good to know you are set on the Marzetti.

OMG, I think I have enough foil to last me a lifetime (46 rolls left). The very last time the $1/1 Reynold's Q came out (which did not exclude the 20 ft. rolls), I added (19) rolls to my stockpile ($.89 with in-ad Q at WAGs). It was back in the days when I was getting mega inserts and we had been forewarned that the future insert Qs would exclude the 20 ft. rolls - one of our favorite WAGs freebies. I knew that it was probably the last time for easy free foil. I have it neatly stacked on a upper shelf in the laundry room.

I definitely did the newbie thing of chasing every deal. I used to order inserts from mad coupons and figured if an item is free I hated to let the coupon go to waste. But then I really had to start evaluating the sales tax which is 9 percent here. And especially with wags, having to add in what I was spending on fillers to be able to roll rewards. So I dialed it way back. I only get multiple if there is a really good deal coming up. Otherwise I stick to 2-3 inserts from friends. And I tend to do more deals at cvs so I don't have to buy fillers. Their forced limits keep me in check.

I try keeping giftcards at CVS and Rite Aid to eat up the tax. I've been putting part of my rebate checks on the giftcards and trying to make it stretch. Last month I didn't do too many SCR so I won't have much of a giftcard.
I'm glad my sister likes to coupon with me. I just noticed I didn't have any taco seasoning packs in my pantry so I'm going to swap a half gallon of milk I got cheap at Meijers for a bottle of salad dressing and a taco seasoning pack.

Postinghere as June is not started but may repeat there later.
Leanna I am the one who called it a bait n switch at WAG. I just KNOW better and will walk out w/o buying anything if I cannot do the entire deal I want. I do NOT need WAG. I have CVS, Walmart, Target, Safeway, Albersons and a BUNCH of independent stores. WAG NEEDS me & my few $$. The WAG foil deal was ONLY for Sun & Mon. Walmart will prob NOT honor it now.
When it comes to EC (I, as a single person seldom buy more than 1-2 of any single item) I think we will see a drop off when they realize the do NOT get $200-300 worth of stuff for $2.95. Hey-here the sales tax is more than that (can run $4.50-$30). They will decide the time planning, effort of clipping and multiple store shopping is not worth it to them. They do NOT realize couponing is like dieting-slow & steady wins the game. Living in a major urban area I can plan routine routes that take me past all store I want. We can only hope the stores do not change policies too much in response to EC.
I have to try using WAG RR at Safeway (Dominicks-sometimes different rules). I have used them at Albersons (Jewel).
Nidena I do not currently have any unused WAG gift cards. I need to check a couple things to determine if it would work for me. Hope to have time sometime this week. I do not shop much at Meijer but it is across the street from my Dad.
Jeep I seldom go to Target because the one on my main route is in a strip mall w/TERRIBLE parking and in/out patterns. Also the cashiers are about as intelligent as a brick. The constantly ‘forget’ my bag credit or only give me 1 when the order CLEARLY fills 2.
