I'm happy. I got a second line enabled on my phone, for the photography and editing businesses. I already had the phone number assigned for some weird reason and it's a local to this area area code. My primary number is local to Maryland. So this may be less off-putting to some clients. In any case it's nice to have separate numbers on the one phone.

DS3 wanted bedding. The pattern he liked was sold out. It just came back in stock, so I got it for his birthday next month, 30% off. I mentioned DS1 is moving his bed from here to his new house. We found a wooden bed base we like. We found a "second hand" one, in the box, 35% off. We'll see it/pick it up tomorrow. If it works out, we'll put DS1's base in the basement with the other Stuff he's moving. We'll need a new mattress too, but I'll buy that new. We still have time.

Today has been full. Out weeding the front yard for about 2* hours Replaced the water filter in the fridge. Sprayed the weeds with a vinegar solution. Grabbed some pulled water reeds and put them into the trash since they have dried out. Went and paid the water bill. Spent time walking on the beach since I was *right there* On the way home I stopped at the library and got a card for my town. It's an independent library so I also get to gather another library card for the county. Got home and mowed the side yard. Stick a fork in me, I am done for right now. ETA - Coming out the front door someone left me a small vase of mini daffodils. No name so I think it's my neighbor. I also know that my chairs are coming next month after the 15th. The couch is just not as comfortable for watching TV as it once was.

Floor replacement completed late this afternoon. So now I am dragging some stuff back. I have far too many books - despite my valiant efforts to reduce them.
I did manage to pawn off the BLACK LEATHER (shudder) Lazyboy recliner* to one off the guys who installed the floors. He and I are both very happy with this event.
*DS2 left the chair behind when he left home 23.5 years ago. Whenever he visited he used to sit in "his chair". I had warned him I was not going to move that thing to Germany. Now it is just gone a few years early.

It works, too; I called DSis on the new number and she called back with it.

The bed guy cancelled us at the last minute, and didn't tell us when he'd be available. We were hesitating between two wooden beds. I found the other one (brand new) on sale for 138 euros (he wanted 125), so I ordered it. I like buying gently used hard furnishings, but he was strangely incommunicative, and this way it'll be delivered.

I had warned him I was not going to move that thing to Germany. Now it is just gone a few years early. I'm going through this now, and it's not as quick as your project was. I'm having the whole house (except bathrooms) done, with 1/4" underlayment put down first. They are trying to work me in with a few other smaller jobs, and I'm good with that. So far the LR and DR are done, and I love my flooring choice. They are doing a great job. But the upheaval isn't fun. I'm grateful that my last move from one house to another was less than 2 years ago, and the move before that was 8 years ago. There was a major purge then, and then a smaller one with the most recent move. As it turns out, I've moved quite a bit in my adult life, owing to a couple of temporary duty assignments (renting our place out for a year here and there) and a divorce. I guess I'm lucky that the moves and temporary locations caused me to declutter every few years. Still, when I moved here two years ago, I was appalled at the amount of stuff I had. But then, some of the things I moved were out of spite. I was so pissed off at the buyer of my last place that I refused her unreasonable offers for the appliances. I moved the fridge to give to my DS and DDIL, who really needed it. I also brought the washer and dryer, and ended up donating them to ReStore. They were only a few years old, so someone got a really good buy. Am I unhappy that my spite cost me real $$? No. Seriously. She nickel and dimed me all the way to closing, and drove everyone involved in the sale (both of the realtors, the lender, the title company, the HOA, the lawyer) absolutely crazy. By the time we got to closing, everyone was done with her.

She probably thought up to the last minute "so what is she ( seriousthistime) about it? I'll get my deal. to that!!!

I FINALLY got the “after” pics of my kitchen, even though I haven’t found drawer pulls yet. It’s online here if you’re interested : imgur.com/gallery/j3BTOj4It only took me 2 days of cleaning the kitchen and getting the dishes done, dried and put away so I could take pics. Today’s other accomplishment was to organize and label my stacking drawer organizer (the black unit under the window in the pics) with all the cat and dog stuff. I’d already decluttered it but I need labels to put things away in the right spots.

Today I am chilling and listening to the latest Taylor Swift album. I am going out on the neighbors' boat later this afternoon. The deck box is going to be put together sometime today. Just found out that every Saturday my city has green waste disposal. This is great, I can get rid of weeds and reeds including up to 8' branches. Of course, I am going to have interesting things in the trunk of the car or possibility ask my neighbor if I can use their truck.

Some observations: 1) I can't put everything back in three days that took me four days to remove 2) My back has decided that it needs more time to recuperate than just 2.5 days between all that moving things around 3) no matter how tempted I am, I cannot ditch The Brothers Karimazov. Finishing this darn book seems impossible to me after several stops and start trying to read it - so it (yet again) ended up on a shelf. For now my goal is to try and reclaim my bedroom before my cleaning lady comes on Monday. Whatever is in de guest room, which currently has about five square inches of moving room , will get put back in its own sweet time.

It looks lovely, startsmart . I think I may have the same cabinets! Pretty certain they're original to this 1950 house. I bougtht at Costco a microwave for over the stove that is shorter than others, so it doesn't sit too close to the stove but holds any dish I would microwave.

let's see what I can accomplish today!
Tuesday was an all-nighter in the ER with my mother. Been pretty wrecked since then. Had some decent sleep last night, but woken up by a phone call from the hospital. She is ready for discharge but waiting for monday for a spot at the rehab facility. She is off oxygen so i will ask the dr. if she can go back to assisted living as the oxygen was why she was going to rehab.
House is a pit for sure! Like don't answer the door territory lest anyone see!
Got a lot accomplished this am after the phone call woke me early, but just a drop in a very large bucket. Taking a break with ice tea and then will get back into it.

Very pretty color on those cabinets. I have redone a lot of them in houses, so much work, but so nice when you are done. Just freshens up everything.
I finally got everything out of my car. 2 big bags of clothing, one hanging bag with a nice coat. 2 big boxes of fabric and a sack of fleece material. I just cannot take all this and even if I did, I will never see all this in my lifetime. What I'm keeping is very good pieces. For some reason in the bottom 2 shelves I have found little or no evidence of mice or chipmunks or whatever they are. The seem to have gotten in the top 2. So these pieces I am looking over and just packing them for keeping or giving away. The clothing and fabric went to the free store, the books to Goodwill. I may take some fabric to them also, will see.d
I have 4 more bags of books in the car, have cleaned out the side shelves and 3 shelves of books so far. And working on another shelf of fabric. So I am moving along.
I ordered some moving bags from Temu and they are much better quality than the ones from Amazon. But for glassware and such will need hard boxes. I have lots of towels and things I can pack them with. Hubs and I have been saving our Amazon boxes so have quite a few we can use.
I'm going to see if I can find packing boxes specifically for grandfather clocks and etageres so they won't get broken.
I need to clean my garage out so we can start putting things in it. I am going to try and have a "Maybe we are Moving Sale" some catchy name like that and see if we can sell some bigger stuff.
Partial bottles of cleaning products and things like that I put beside the road to give away. Again lots of that stuff came from former renters that left them, so no loss to me.
This has needed to be done for a long time. I would just get rid of a bit of this and a bit of that and never fully declutter, so I am finally doing that. When we move up there I'm going to go to the library for books again or to used book stores like I used to. Here I just couldn't find the books I wanted to read so I would order them from Amazon. I have spent a ton of money on those.

Today I sold a whole box of corelle dishes and am so happy. I've also had some interest in another set of corelle that I have in a different pattern. This morning while waiting for it to warm up out side I got the bed changed, the hand washing of pots and pans done, and the litter box changed. I was a little later getting into the yard then I planned because I was texting with the lady who bought the dishes. This afternoon I did work in the yard for a good 4 or 5 hours. It doesn't look like I got much done but I was pulling out some of those nasty old rose bushes as I was weeding and that takes a long time.
I just warmed up some leftovers for dinner and then it will be some time with the ice pack while sitting in the recliner.

We went to the garden center to get red geraniums for the outdoor pots. We also got a climbing rose to replace one that had died. It's cold out, so we probably won't plant them today. I'm WFH Mon and Tues, and at school Thurs. We'll plant them Wed if it's warmer. ETA: DH braved the cold and planted the geraniums.

Sump pump is running today. I didn't know we had rain, but if it was a nice, gentle rain during the night, I would not have heard it.
