I am buying my husband two plastic tea strainers for $ 1.00 with free shipping, if my bid wins on ebay. We're also looking at more prospective rental houses today, since houses are selling for 20 cents on the dollar around here in nice school districts. We are looking to spend $22,000 or so.

Too early to shop, so will go with yesterday's purchase. I bought at our nursery 8 big healthy raspberry bushes at $3.99 each. Walmart wanted 10 dollars for little potted suckers. No way.

Nothing today. It is a stay home, watch the political shows, do some chores & cooking day for me. Tomorrow I hope for the same as I have some business type calls to make/follow up upon.
Yesterday, however: I bought another bottle of olive oil at CVS on Sat, coffee at Walgreens and did my Aldi purchases. I expected to spend 4.67+tax at Aldi but inflation/oil prices have hit so my bill was $5.27+tax. That is 12.8%!!! The yogurt I paid $1.69 for 2 weeks ago is now $1.79, smoked sausage (I have not bought in a long time) went from $1.99 to $2.49 and although my lunch meat was still the same I KNOW it will be going up as its brother is up 0.30. Guess I will be cutting back some more. No more pierogi & sausage meals. Nearly $3/serving+tax is WAAAY above my budget and that does not count staples (butter, oil, onion, caraway seeds), salad and a veg or fruit to balance the meal.
Sat spending including the Sun paper totaled $7.48.

I haven't bought anything today, and I probably won't.
Yesterday, I bought groceries for $200, picked up a prescription for about $25, and went to Lowe's to get DH a birthday present for about $150. I bought him a Bosch cordless drill. He already has 4 drills, but a man can never have too many drills. Or so he says.

I got up and out early to go to the grocery store, and as soon as I walked in the door, they lost power! Thankfully, it's only a mile away. I had a short list, mainly deli meat and cheese for lunches at work this week. I bought 2 newspapers (3.00) and came home. I doubt I will get back out today...

Yesterday was modest- I spent $28 at Target for a large container of Greek yogurt (our regular store carries only individual cups), a $15 gift card and $6 for 4 cans of Healthy Choice Soup. The latter was an impulse buy- canned soup with lots of fresh or stir-fried veggies added is one of my quick, relatively healthy lunches and bargains on canned soup decrease in warmer weather. The $15 gift card is for the 7-year old son of a friend- he helped DH paste mailing labels on post cards for an Easter mailing for our church. DH really appreciated the help!
Last night we went out to dinner with a group from church- $40 for the 2 of us but we brought plenty of good leftovers home.

Too much. Around $280 on my Costco trip: coffee maker to replace broken one, $30 for deli sandwiches for baby shower, new brush heads for the sonicare, diapers, bathing suit and some groceries.

So far today I bought an iced coffee and a peach crumb muffin. I hope to buy some light hand weights, but aside from that I think it will be a low-key spending day. We went out for drinks yesterday for BF's sister's birthday and it ended up being $34/person, which totally saved me money from our original plans for the day. We had tickets to the Phillies game and were going to have a big tailgate party, but it was postponed because of the rain. Normally, when BF and I tailgate it's pretty ghetto (just whatever we're drinking and a hoagie), but when we do birthday party tailgates, I go all out with food.

If we go with yesterday (Saturday), I actually bought a lot. $175 for wrought iron table and chairs for the larger deck from CraigsList. $21 for 3 cute little outfits from the Porch Sale at Crackerbarrel for my oldest granddaughter (almost 3). $47 for groceries. $15 for a tablecloth and some other miscellaneous grocery purchases at Walmart (milk and bananas).
Plus my DH took us out to lunch at Crackerbarrell for $20.
I won't spend practically anything the rest of the week. I bring my lunch to work. I already have enough gas.

Not going anywhere today so will spend nothing. Yesterday, however, spent $86 on an antique drum table (50% off), $56 on groceries (of which $18 was for wine), and $6.50 for a top (thrift store find).

About $40 for a week's worth of groceries. Oh and about $10 for two specialty pizza slices and two drinks. Yeah I know it's a lot for pizza, but I don't mind paying top dollar for good food.

all I see myself spending money on today is a rotisserie chicken for making stock and breaking down into portions for the week's meals. yesterday, though....I bought a wall mirror for my master bathroom (custom ordered, $450), dinner before a show ($40) and various small toiletries at Target ($30?). I got back $40 from two friends whose show tickets I'd purchased along with my own, about 2 months ago - so that washes out dinner.

Well, add to my $3 in newspapers. BFF asked me to go to Target and Old Navy, and while I was out, went back to the grocery store for the few things I didn't get earlier. I had something to return at Target ($5 and change) and ended up buying a purse on clearance and an eyeliner ($8 and change) so only spent about $3 when all was said and done, and got a free reusable tote they were giving away today. Returned over $40 of stuff at Old Navy and spent about $20, so, I'm in the black there. Grocery store was $5 and change for deli meat, cheese, honey mustard and dog food. Overall for the day, looks like I'm in the black. Considering I hadn't left the house (or spent a cent) since Thursday, not too bad...

Second the vote to turn this into "What did you buy yesterday" thread I picked up 15 lb of ground sirloin at Albertsons (2.77/lb, plus $4 off $40 coupon) and it spit out a coupon for a free 24-pk of bottled water. That's a score; I don't usually drink it but MIL does and they're coming out for a visit in 3 weeks. Also, $20 at Trader Joe's, half of that for cheese, and $6 for the best strawberries you ever tasted at the local farm stand. Today we're going to the baseball game at the local university, courtesy of free tickets from work that include free beer and hot dogs. We may also stop and actually buy the sideboard we've been eyeing for a while. It's Hooker brand; we thought of putting it in the guest room but decided it'd be better in the LR so everyone could enjoy it

Yesterday spent $90 on groceries, $30ish on a tank of gas, $3 at the gas station for some Barefoot wine (why do gas stations around here have such great deals on wine?). Oh, and $20 to change the addresses on our drivers licenses, though the emotional cost of being at the BMV for 2 hours on a Saturday was much higher

Bought a pair of new running shoes for ~$55 and a dressy tank top to wear under a suit jacket for ~$26. Also bought gas (~$48).

Bought gas. Today it was $3.71/gallon. I get 5% cash back with my Visa. I don't feel like doing the math or looking for my receipt.
Costco -- I bought their Chicken Salad for lunch this week $11.03. A 2-pack of camisoles - $12.99 Total of $25.46 less $10 Costco gift card, so $15.46
Grocery Store -- Pineapple, apples, and yogurt to also add for lunch and breakfast. $7.62
Returned a jacket to Marshalls -52.49.

Wound up closer to $65, but I had coupon + sale on catfud and Aveeno. Had I dumped those 2 items, I'd be at my guestimate.

Ate out at McDonald's after church, $18. Bought a little gas, $16. Bought 5 quarts of synthetic oil and a filter, $40 and changed my oil. I've never had synthetic in a car before. I also might spend up to $5 thru some combination of iPod apps and online bridge games. So about $75-$80.

I actually went to Walmart again because I had a WW meeting right next door. So I spent another $20 plus tax for a George Foreman grill. I've always had one, but when mine burned in the small kitchen fire of 2010, I didn't replace it. This one is much nicer because it has multiple temps.
Of course, my husband made me get rid of the bread box on the counter even though I put the GF in the cabinet. His rule is I have to throw something out (usually 2 somethings but the bread box was big) for everything I add.
Lol.
