When the words "going postal" started being said, my friend in Boulder was very angry at her manager. She kept telling me over and over that she was going to go in to his office and "go postal" on him. I knew she owned guns.
I did call the company. I didn't give them my name.
She did say she got called in and didn't know how they know.
I could not have lived with myself if she had shot her manager.

I just had another conversation with Mister about Kiddo. Kiddo is still acting up at school. I told Mister again, that he needs to consider seeking custody of Kiddo, because he’s going to end up with him later anyway. Mister said that even OD has told him that. It doesn’t sit well with Mister, because Kiddo’s Mom doesn’t even work, and lives down the street from Kiddo’s school, for him to have to leave work and drive across the city to go to Kiddo’s school to address problems. I told him I really do understand that, but he can either pay now, or pay a lot more later, because what they’ve been doing, very clearly isn’t working and I am willing to bet money that Kiddo’s Mom is going to eventually want to send him to Mister anyway, because I believe Kiddo’s behavior is only going to continue to get worse, instead of better, if something doesn’t change asap. Mister said something about how he has to be at work so much earlier than Kiddo has to be at school. I said that since my work hours have changed, I can take him to school on my way to work. On my days off work, if they have a before school program like many elementary schools have, Mister can drop him off on his way to work. Mister is the boss, he sets his own schedule, so he can go in a little later on my off days. My point is that we can work it out, and I am willing to do my part. I told Mister he might as well get over what Kiddo’s Mom should be doing and all of that, and figure out what HE is going to do to get HIS son together. He wasn’t really thrilled with what I was saying, and wanted me to stop talking, but one thing about me is that if I even just call myself your friend, imma always tell you what I believe is the truth. To me, people that genuinely care about each other, are honest with each other. I might roll with you on some bullshit, since I do have 3 or 4 people that I am ride or die for, but you’re gonna hear my mouth about it, because I’m gon tell you, you know this is some GOTDAMN bullshit, right?!I've always said my real friends are the ones who care enough to get up in my face and tell me the truth. The others are just acquaintances. Not everyone can handle that level of truth

I started buying the velvet hangers several years ago. Way before I moved here with Mister. I started buying them for Mister after we moved here, but I never got around to buying enough to replace all his hangars because he got on my nerves. I have real pants hangers, and I tried to get Mister on board with those. But he prefers folding his pants over on wire (gasp!) or plastic hangers. Imo, his method takes up more space, but whatever. When we moved here, when I would do laundry, I would hang his pants on proper pants hangers, and he hated it and said that it upset his nerves the way I hung his pants up. Say what?! LOL! So I just stopped hanging them up. And I eventually gave up on hanging any of his clothes up, and stopped buying the velvet hangers for him. Less work and money for me. Everything on my side of the closet is on velvet hangers and proper pants hangers. Mister’s side of the closet is….. uhhhh…. What it is.

IDK if this is the place to ask this question. I have a new-used computer. YMAM proboards does not have a quick link. When I tried the search I got a Warning: Potential Security Risk. . . . attackers could steal info like passwords, emails, credit card details . . . Any ideas on how I can get YMAM on the new computer?
Can you add a link to your home screen? Or to your bookmarks? I did get to the create proboards. Maybe I can go in that way. And the two you suggested. I'll try again tomorrow. Thanks.

daisylu I can't do PRK or Lasik because my eyes suck. I can do ICL. I did a consult for it but at $3500/eye that is not happening this year for me. I had a consult for Lasik, I have dry eyes, so was afraid to pursue Lasik. How are PRK and ICL different?

Has anyone tried the woobles or similar crochet kits? I can crochet basic wash clothes that are sometimes even square, but can't really progress and was hoping those might be the ticket to getting better. Plus they look fun.

I'm done for the day y'all. My boxing class was canceled yesterday so I made up my own workout that crushed me. If anyone wants to try it on their own, I'll post it. I was so sore today. I slept so hard I woke up at 4:30 this morning. I, of course fell back asleep after a couple of hours. I was in and out of consciousness for about a half hour before I got up feeling like 💩.
One of my producers worked my nerves today. I quit my job fifty eleven times before the day was over. I was about to snap! I went to the gym, came home and cooked/ate dinner, washed myself and took the twins out. I even cleared out a bunch of containers from the fridge, took out the trash, and started the dishwasher. I'm going to beach myself on the couch for a few and then go to bed.

I took some of the brisket and sides I bought yesterday, for my lunch today, and o.m.g. it was sooooo good. I wanted more! I have been thinking about the little bit we still had left at home, ALL DAY. I usually just get a bbq sandwich from there because I don’t like their ribs. They are huge, like dinosaur bones lol. Their pulled pork sandwiches are good, but forget that, my new favorite is their brisket, collard greens and Mac and cheese. I don’t know if I’ve already said it here, but my appetite has come back over the last few months. With a vengeance. But even though I’ve been eating more, I still haven’t gained back all the weight I lost early last year. Which is good, because the weight was all around my middle, and was not a good look. My stomach is still bigger than I’d like, because it had always been fairly flat before I gained all that weight, but at least I don’t have the whole spare tire anymore. I feel you. Any weight I gain always goes to my stomach. Why can't it go to my booty? My abs are rock hard with a layer of flab over them which pisses me off. I work hard just to not end up on my 600 Pound Life every day of my life. I use to be able to eat a diet of sugar and fried food and be a slender size 5. Those days have been over forever. Getting old sucks.

So Mallory Sofastaii, the consumer reporter for WMAR in Baltimore posted information about the bridge collapse on Facebook. Some of the comments are hilarious. One person commented: Didn’t the ship have a horn? Further comments: Curious what a horn would have done to prevent it from going into the bridge? Do you think that the bridge would have heard it and moved? So, if the ship blew its horn, the bridge would have had more time to move , , , heard they blew the horn but the bridge just wouldn’t move. , , , what’s a bridge going to do? Move out the way?!

Good morning, able invisipeeps, holding the line against the chaos of life. Welcome to Thurday, Easter Eve eve eve or Maundy Thursday for those who observe these things. I hope your day sees you satisfied with your efforts. I hope you enjoy a fabulous dessert. And that order and solvency are maintained. Had great news yesterday. DH had a nephrology appointment and his doctor noted that he was doing fine and could remain stable for a long time to come, even years. After last fall we're relieved and happy. We went out to eat to celebrate. DH had a yen for a steak. We shared a ribeye which was excellent. The weather broke 60 degrees yesterday. Today it's going to rain. It's raining now and will continue pretty much all day. We're expecting up to 3". It was another gray on gray morning, which the tiny dinosaurs appreciate:

Oh dear. The conspiracy theory people are already at it on why the Francis Scott Key bridge was the one that went down. I can't even... It is beyond ridiculous. I have been blocked by acquaintances on FB by stating the truth. Truth that I know as I grew up in the port and generations of my family have (and still) work there. Someone makes a stupid meme and it becomes gospel to some people. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Trying to make an appointment to see if surgery will fix my eyesight. I'm spending $1,000 a year on special light weight lenses and contacts. If it can get close enough that I can at least go straight contacts I'd be happy. Super bad astigmatism here (in both eyes). I had surgery to replace my lenses in my eye. One eye at a time, it was about $5k for both eyes, but for the first time since I was 8, I no longer need glasses or contacts. I was told that they can correct 2/3 issues. If you are nearsighted plus astigmatism, it can be corrected. If you have age related far sightedness, you’ll still need readers. My contacts were set such that one eye reads distance, the other close up so I need nothing. The one thing Covid was good for as I had to wear glasses 6 weeks so they could correct my eyes. Since I wasn’t going anywhere or doing anything, it was still painful to wear my coke bottle glasses but it would have been worse at other times. This is what I am hoping for. Yes, I am nearsighted with astigmatism and now with age farsighted. I also know others who have the bifocal equivalent of contacts, but my astigmatisms are so bad that those contacts are not even an option for me. If I could even get to that stage I'd be happy.

Got home about 7:30 last night. Need to return the rental car today, but in the 4 hours that it took me to drive home my day exploded with meetings (that I now need to prepare for). Might get out around lunch time to do that - bonus is that our favorite food truck is open from 11-3 today so looks like pork belly, slaw, and collard greens are on my menu for today. DH likes the "cheesies" - smoked mac and cheese topped with your choice of pulled pork, brisket, or chicken, french fried onions, regular bbq sauce, and a white bbq sauce. I always feel a little dirty when I ask for a little white sauce on the side.

Can you tolerate monocular vision? This is when you train your brain to use the eye you need to use for the task. My right eye is used for close up vision, left is for distance vision. I also have astigmatism as well as being severely nearsighted (my script was a -11.5 at my last fitting). Age related farsightedness was just a bonus. I used contacts with monocular vision, so when I got the lenses implanted, my brain was already trained. Funny thing though, when I get tired this is how I know I’m done as my brain gets confused and my eyes go wonky. This surgery really did change my life. I did have to wait for my eyes to stop shifting. My prescription was stable until I hit menopause and it shifted from -9.5 to a -11.5 over a period of 6 years or so. It finally stabilized the year before Covid hit, so I jumped.

The problem was that there was very little time. After the mayday call, the bridge was closed on one side as a precaution. The police officer who closed traffic was going to make sure the traffic from the other side was closed and ask as the construction workers to leave temporarily but before he could do so, the bridge was gone. (From Maryland Transportation Authority Police dispatch audio)

We are in Cambodia today. Had a heavy shower this morning, so it was quite humid when we went out for our excursion. We went to a Buddhist temple, saw some local dancing, went to the beach (gorgeous beach, with I was better prepared) and a fish market. So stinking hot, we were drenched in sweat when we go5 back.
Still in Cambodia overnight, tomorrow we have a beach bbq.
From what I have seen, this is one of the few places I would prefer not to return to. Maybe my mind will change tomorrow, I’m leaving it open. Getting a visa for here was more problems than it was worth. Maybe if we made it to Angkor Watt? I dunno.
Sea day, then Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam are next on the schedule.

Has anyone tried the woobles or similar crochet kits? I can crochet basic wash clothes that are sometimes even square, but can't really progress and was hoping those might be the ticket to getting better. Plus they look fun. I usually mostly make blankets and dish scrubbies. I've not worked with the woobles kit specifically, but I've done a couple of similar kits. I thought they were fun and pretty fast. The ones I did were mostly circles, though. For Christmas, I got a book with patterns for a bunch of the woobles. Can't wait for summer to try it out!

SeaWorld does have a whole kids area. Not remembering the son's age to know if that's a great fit. I'm thinking he's definitely not old enough for Universal. Disney single day gate price is insanity. You do Genie and avoid some lines but that takes some effort and knowing how to stack and play the game. If you do SeaWorld take jackets for the penguin area. It's amazing but freezing. More so when it's a feels like of 110 in August. Thanks guys for the recommendation! I’d have dismissed seaworld as not very interesting but it does have rides, and AAA had a deal for two parks plus $20 voucher each for 99/person. Sold. Kid is 10, so would be old enough for Universal, a little old for the Sesame stuff at Seaworld, but the 2 park thing gives access to the waterpark as well

Menopause hid my eyes hard, as well. I went years without any real changes, but the last 3 have been killer.

Thinking about getting a couple of pairs of shoes. They're on sale and they're cute, but I don’t really need them. I would use them though. If they're still available when I go to lunch I'll get them. I should look at buying stock in Nike.

On my way home from work, I heard a commercial on the radio from some company saying they will pay 100% of the fair market value for your house, and rent it to you. They hyped it up, saying how you avoid packing up and moving, you can still live in the house that you love. Now, I’ve never claimed to be the smartest person ever, so I need you all to explain to me why somebody would do that. My understanding of renting is that rent is usually more than a mortgage payment would be on the same property. I can’t make it make sense. It's a bad option but it beats foreclosure. The seller gets some cash out of the deal, probably less than if they sold the house in a more traditional manner, but possibly more than they'd get if the house was auctioned. They probably don't have the time or the money to fix up the house to get a better price or else they wouldn't be behind.
The cash can be used to pay the new rent or to move to a slightly cheaper rental. The seller may also be able to avoid having a foreclosure on their credit report, which dramatically improves their rental options.
But I'm sure that those reasons aren't the ones that are being hyped. Nor are they mentioning the possibility that the buyer is a bad actor who will move slowly to improve their odds of buying the house more cheaply at auction.

The peanut got sick again. I think she ate too much too fast, and her stomach wasn't able to handle it.
The missy is too excited to sleep, and the airbnb is too small to keep her quiet/isolated.
Thus, no one has slept and everyone is tired, except the missy. The house is like 800 sq feet. I'm hoping I can get out today.
We also drove through George Floyd Square yesterday. Which I was not anticipating. And that sitting with me a little bit today.
