There's a hell of a thunderstorm out right now and the parking lot looks like a lake, so the idea of trying to get downtown to hit the farmer's market for some fresh veggies has not become a priority. It's at another location tomorrow, so will try to hit that.
One more load of clothes to wash, along with the kitchen floor and I'm done! I may trot over to Lowe's to see what plants they have, but it may be too early to pick them up for my balcony. I want to get tomatoes and herbs, but think we're due for a bit more colder weather later this week.

I just got back from buying some new clothes that I desperately need. Now I'll run some laundry while doing some school reading.

Cleaning, cleaning, cleaning!!! I cleaned the front carpet a little last night. Today we did 4 rugs (I recommend the Bessel Pro Heat 2). Soon we are going to mop the 3 bathroom floors, dinning room floor, & kitchen floor. Then put down the floor glow (the stuff you put on wooden floors) & hopefully the rugs will be dry to put back down. A quick hit on our bedroom floors & then it's upstairs. We need to hang some pictures & straighten up (just finished painting a week ago). We've had the windows open so that means dust everything. My wife's oldest sister & a friend arrive Monday night for a 2 week stay. Not looking forward to it because I really don't care for her. She should be on her best behavior cause I'm not in the mood to put up with anything.

Made my trip to the grocery store and thought it couldn't be Saturday after all. The place was almost deserted and no line-ups at the tills. Stopped at liquor store on the way home, and my favorite wine was On Sale! . (Spent the money I saved on a lotto ticket ) Now I have to figure out what to have for dinner.

My Saturday has been/is busy, busy, busy. Up with DD at 7 a.m. Took her to toddler gymnastics at 9:30. After that we went grocery shopping. Arrived home to find her diaper leaked , so that meant a cleanup and change of clothes before I put the groceries away, fed her, put her down for a nap, grabbed a quick bite of lunch, cleaned up the kitchen, talked to my brother who is having major financial problems, and now I'm at work until 11:15 p.m.

I work on Saturdays. I spent the morning putting out fires in all departments. Ummm, people? Remember, I'm not in charge any more. I have my own department of one. ;D It's really not my day to watch you. Actually, it's good to be needed, but it's pretty funny that everyone turns to me when things go south. I will fix things, but I don't have to. I got home in time to watch the Yankees beat the Sox. And since today hasn't been entertaining enough, I'm about to rip down the walls of the mudroom and remove the wet, moldy, smelly insulation.

Less than 2 hours of yard work, and I got a nasty blister on my right hand, so I had to quit. But I got some cleanup done and some dead wood cleaned out of my lilac bush, so it wasn't a complete waste. Other than that, I'm doing laundry, finally finishing my damn taxes, and maybe some housework. Maybe.

steff--one thing I miss about the April Fool's day avatars is reading "What the hell?" at the end of all your posts. Apple, LMAO!!! Wasn't she hilarious? I had so much fun reading her during that that I re-read about 4 times. I usually do pretty much the same thing every day. Sleep in. Have coffee. Feed birds and give them fresh water. Water Plants. Give kitties lunch. (DH does breakfast most days) Scoop boxes and clean their messes throughout (24/7). Clean house, etc. where needed. DH and I had lunch on the patio and now he's putting fresh sod in the backyard where grass was killed during the freezes we had. I was supervising and he told me he thought he heard my emails dinging so I'd better go check. LMAO!!! So now you guys are stuck with me while I cycle my laundry. Aren't you the lucky ones.

Laundry, took the pup for a long walk that included stopping by the ATM, bagel shop, and jack in the box for breakfast sammiches (only local place still serving them after 11!) Considered going for a haircut, decided I was too lazy and trimmed my own bangs instead. Ate sugar snap peas fresh off the vines, sat in the sun reading a detective novel for a bit, forwarded some receipts & signed up MIL/FIL for a local CSA (it's a mothers/fathers' day present, but the deadline to sign up is next week). This afternoon we'll watch the NCAA ice hockey championship and maybe do some more yardwork and declutter the living room. Oh, and they finally got super san marzano tomato plants in at the hardware store--just put one in. I've been wanting to do that for a while Tonight is taxes, take II! We did them last weekend, then found at the end that the site we were using didn't support roth IRA conversions

I got everything done but the boxing up crap in the basement and staining the shelves.... I'll do that tomorrow while hubby & kiddo are gone to the baseball game. And I did kinda cheat and change the blackberry cobbler to banana pudding since it's too hot to turn the oven on. Now I'm going to kick back and watch the race. Gooooooooooo Junior!

Kiddo did 90% of his painting (kiddo is 16), I just did the edging around the woodwork corners. My mom & brother live like 5 miles away, so again, not a big deal to run by. and I'm almost always cooking something...lol I'm a housewife/SAHM, so I clean something, take a break, clean something take a break....I like to say that I'm on duty 24/7, I just take really long coffee breaks and no one tell hubby that I don't drink coffee ;D

Back from spending. After the Apple store I went and got a PS3 with the Move. Someone slap some frugality sense into me! The PS3 is being set up now on the new 51" flat screen. I am spending like there is no tomorrow. What's wrong with me?!!

From what I saw at the Apple store the economy is doing fine. The place was buzzing with business. Plenty of customers and employees.

The kid got up at 7:30!! And he was smiling! Played with him and the dog for an hour or so as I tried to have my coffee. Then packed up all of his stuff to take him to his aunt's for today. Dropped him off. Went for lazer hair removal for the first time. That HURTS!!! It was worse than my tattoo!!! Then I went to a local art show. A friend had some paintings in it. Turns out she is really good! Came home and bathed Charlie and packed up her stuff to be picked up by the friend that is watching her this week. General cleaning and tidying to get ready to go. Packing. Still have my shower and the last of my packing and to load up the car to be ready to leave at 4 am.
