this article hit home for me. I have minor quibbles with some of the passages, but the core of it is spot on:
eand.co/the-far-right-takeover-of-america-is-almost-complete-67e9810d846b?gi=492fb78f5f7
When I look at America, here’s what I see. A country where the extreme, fanatical right wing takeover of its institutions — all of them — is almost complete. From laws to courts, representation to presidency, norms to rules, from press to public sphere — America is now controlled almost entirely and exclusively by the most fanatical kind of right wingers the rich world hasn’t seen for decades, probably since Nazi Germany. Yes, I mean that. Let me make my case — and you can judge for yourself whether my words carry any weight.
it takes maybe 15 mins to read it through, but I think it is worth the effort.
-dj It certainly feels like it, but just try to breathe. RW momentum is in flux. Sir Rush Limbaugh has health problems. Not reported by Paul?

Considering that trump carried 60% of the states in 2016 it may not be as inconceivable as you think in a country that, incorrectly, prides itself on representative government → there is no one person, one vote! They voted for him in as President for one term. They did not vote him in as President for life. He will never have the percentages any way you cut it. And such a vote would not just be Trump for life, but anyone in the future for life. He wins on shifts of opinion, via media... I have a plan and I noticed Steven Colbert is now reminding at least the East Coast tri-state audience is that Life on Thurday is fine... because he is blissfully unaware of what happened Friday,
so if its bad, drinking heavily reach for chocolate ... (CBS ABC NBC all broadcast from NYC....

Lunch today, 1 Qtr cheese meal $8.69 1 M Coke Subtotal 8.69 tax 0.55 Eat in total 9.24 I remember being in Alaska more than a couple of years back, horrified that the same meal was $5.50
Either you live in a really expensive area, or the cashier pocketed the extra $3 they charged you above what a Quarter Pounder with cheese meal costs. www.fastfoodmenuprices.com/mcdonalds-prices/www.menuwithprice.com/menu/mcdonalds/McDonalds restaurant #25665 Anthem AZ 85086 Yesterday!

I just had a fish filet (because it's Friday) for lunch which I bought at my local McDs. I paid $2,493.67 (including sales tax) because I bought the fries and soda separately instead of the meal package.
That's the last time I will ever order the small size fries and soda separately.

That's what good Democrats do, they buy their fish filet but they pay enough so that everyone else in the area can have the same for free If you were a good Republican you would have gotten it for free on the basis that giving you a free fish filet would generate $2,493.67 in economic growth in undisclosed ways.
