He can say anything he wants to fox news. He is not just a juror as in a regular trial. Just one example, he won't be approved to sit or not by the prosecution. I understand how an impeachment trial works, thanks. It wasnt' "can't" as he is not able to do it, it's "can't" as is "you stupid fuck what the fuck are you doing?" He can say whatever he wants, but just because one can do something doesn't mean they should. He should at least pretend to uphold the oath he took to the constitution instead of firmly affixing his lips to Trumps ass in public. You may not like this, but you really should read your own posts. The last line from this post I'm pasting of yours, with the post linked. Quote; You can't do that as a juror. ymam.proboards.com/post/3071600Followed now by the bolded on this quoted post of yours. (He can) Which way are you taking the stance ? As an attorney, I would expect you to be better versed on this subject

The thing is, they can lose their seat, and then it goes nowhere in the Senate. Not exactly the behavior of a person you would want making decisions for you, if they can't see past the immediate. I want someone making decisions for me who has the integrity to put the country and the Constitution ahead of their political futures. I wan't someone making decisions for me who isn't myopically focused on the short term. That eliminates the current GOP I want someone making decisions for me who has the integrity to put the country and the Constitution ahead of their political futures. Short term, as in the whole proceedings of impeachment will not remove Trump from office ? It will lower the impeachment bar, for that next Democrat president, maybe, in 5 years.

Republican Rep Jody Hice just stated during the hearings the will of the people, 93 million Americans, voted for trump.
Now I know he misspoke but does he really want to claim 62 plus million people voted for trump wss the "will of the people" when Hillary Clinton received 65 plus million votes?
Hillary's voters were the "will of the people" if one wants to claim, like Hice, the popular votes should have decided the election. The Electoral College said otherwise.

Can you believe that I will be impeached today by the Radical Left, Do Nothing Democrats, AND I DID NOTHING WRONG! A terrible Thing. Read the Transcripts. This should never happen to another President again. Say a PRAYER!

For bonus points, try to remember Pence would be President if Trump is impeached by the Senate. If the election could be nullified years later, that would not be true.

As an attorney, I would expect you to be better versed on this subject I think she made perfect sense. You, not so much. For future reference, can not rarely means physically or mentally impossible. As a poster aligned with the emotionally thinking side, I would have thought you would know this. People in RL often exclaim "You can't do that!" to someone who just did it, simply because they were incredulous and angry someone did what they did.

Honestly, I sometimes think Trump supporters have lost track of time and reality. They don't really accept he's been elected. They don't even celebrate the fact he made it three years before doing something so stupid impeachment needed to happen.

Under oath. YOU GOTTA SAY UNDER OATH!!!!! Sorry. Under oath lying being probably the biggest reason Trump won't testify. I think he's become incapable of telling the truth. And either way, he'd be cooked. Tell the truth, he's guilty. Lie about it, its easy to prove he lied and then ... guaranteed impeachment articles.

Lie about it, its easy to prove he lied and then ... guaranteed impeachment articles. trump's lawyers in the Mueller investigation did not want trump to be interviewed, in person, under oath because they knew he would perjure himself. Thus the Mueller investigation was given vague, incomplete, written responses where trump could not be held accountable.

Republican Rep. Compares Trump to Jesus During Impeachment Hearings: 'Pontius Pilate Afforded More Rights to Jesus'A Republican congressman compared the impeachment process facing President Donald Trump to the trial of Jesus Christ that led to the latter's crucifixion. Representative Barry Loudermilk, who represents Georgia's 11th Congressional District, made the remarks at 2:10 p.m. EST Wednesday, as the House of Representatives prepared to vote on whether to impeach the president for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. Loudermilk claimed that Jesus, whom Christians believe was executed in the first century A.D. by the Roman Empire, was given more rights in his trial by Pontius Pilate, the imperial governor of Judea, than Congress has given to Trump. "Before you take this historic vote today, one week before Christmas, I want you to keep this in mind," Loudermilk told his colleagues in the House. "When Jesus was falsely accused of treason, Pontius Pilate gave Jesus the opportunity to face his accusers. During that sham trial, Pontius Pilate afforded more rights to Jesus than the Democrats have afforded this president in this process." Article here: Republican Rep. Another liar. Trump would NOT release documents, requested associates involved NOT testify even though subpoenaed and based on his response to Mueller earlier Trump would NOT testify. Rudy would call it a perjury trap.
It would be nice if the Repo-Cons wouldn’t keep repeating these lies.

I would like everyone on both sides to say that no one is happy about this. There is a lot wrong with our country right now. Our leaders will not fix it. They have too much to lose. We, the people, will have to do it.

OK. I'll say a prayer......Psalm 109:8.A lot of people did that when Obama was in the WH They should have prayed for themselves. Other than being Black he did a fine job and will be remembered well by history, especially for guiding the start of the lengthy recovery. After that RepoConCrash, instead of praying the wiped out just killed themselves.

That got old a real long time ago. But we still even read it it here. He may not be a powerful orator, but Steny Hoyer rocked it. Totally undercut the, "Democrats have been focused on impeachment from Day 1" nonsense by pointing out that Democrats three different times (and as recently as July) voted against seeking Articles of Impeachment. Republicans still sound ridiculous and stupid. If there was any integrity or courage left in them we would not be at this point tonight. They would have already persuaded Trump to resign.

I didn't go look last night, but what I remember is Jesus never did actually meet his accusers. The ones that prompted the trial stood in the back of the crowd whispering to the mob so Jesus would not be released.
