As usual, the point is missed. Mortality is a guessing game. I'm old enough to remember Adelle Davis diet- and her fate; I'm old enough to remember when Jim Fixx- who started to the jogging craze- died at 52 on a jog. Does it mean Adelle Davis, the "Queen of Optimal Eating" or Jim Fixx were wrong? No. On the whole, they got it right. And if I'm an actuary, I'll bet on the sound diet and regular exercise person every time-- but some of the time, I'll still be wrong. Euell Gibbons, Grapenut taste just like wild hickory nuts, Health nut dead at 64!

he really is uniquely awful. it is sad when i find people that can't seem to see that. Someday you'll be on here telling the truth- sort of. That Trump is a run of the mill moderate Republican open to Obama's DACA and basically saying if Congress does it right and passes a law, he'll sign it; a barrier on the southern border and immigration controls, fairly high taxes- certainly nothing like the Reagan tax rates; "trust busting" and price controls, trade protectionism complete with tariffs- I could go on, his non-interventionist anti-war policy does come with the conservative caveat that we keep the military strong and promise to kill people who mess with us vs. the unilateral pacifism of old school Dems- but these are all pretty much the Democrat ideas of my life time. A lot of pretty astonishing things have happened since 2015, but two really stand out-- the Democrat's full embrace of, and STASI-like operation of the intelligence services, particularly John Brennan's CIA; the second is coming out this week as not just pro-war, but pro the war in Syria where it's not even clear what our objectives would be? Protect the Kurds in our Syrian enemy's country from our NATO ally, Turkey? And that's before you get to the substance of the issue- that we removed 28 people who were ostensibly stationed there "temporarily" ten years ago. But yea- Trump is uniquely awful-- he's a lawless dictator-- according to the people licking lawless dictator's assholes...

So the host nation sets the agenda on this event? Interesting...?I would think a committee would be the one to do so that had representatives from at least the major powers and say limited ad hoc from smaller nations.. To leave it up to the Donald...sad.

but I would not bet on it.
how does that say to ANYONE that Mortality is NOT a guessing game?

CEI? Ha ha ha! A right wing think tank which spread tobacco disinformation and funded by Big Oil? That CEI? www.sourcewatch.org/index.php/Competitive_Enterprise_InstituteCompetitive Enterprise Institute (CEI) is a libertarian think tank based in Washington DC. It was founded by lobbyist Fred Smith, and has been funded by a laundry list of bogeymen, such as Koch Industries, the Scaife Foundations, Exxon, Philip Morris, etc. Like any of the Beltway think tanks that spews vulgar libertarianism, they take quite a consistent line against any government regulation of their financial backers. CEI is a major proponent of global warming denial, second-hand smoke denial, and denial of any science establishing that industrial activity can cause environmental damage. One of their adjuncts is the noted denialist shyster, Steve Milloy. rationalwiki.org/wiki/Competitive_Enterprise_InstituteAnd Tony Heller? A rabid birther and bat-shit crazy climate change denier? Right. I'm going to hitch my wagon to his star.

You might as well have posted something from the Fraser Institute.....which poses as a Canadian think tank, but funded by the Koch Brothers, Big Oil, Big Tobacco and the American Insurance companies. Its motto should be "Profits Above All Else!!"

He just caved. Tweeted that the G7 would NOT be held at his bed bug club. He'll have to get someone else to pay to remodel it now.

And I call BS....I'm betting someone told him that using taxpayer $$$ to refurbish Doral would NOT go over especially in an election year.
And Camp David may have been the choice all along.

Doral has yet another problem. An anti-Muslim problem-again. Why are anti-Muslim groups and white nationalists drawn to trump and/or his bedbug-ridden properties? Mar-a-Lago Again Under Fire for Hosting Group That Promoted IslamophobiaIt is the second time in two weeks that the Palm Beach club is facing demands that it cancel an event by a group that has promoted anti-Muslim view For the second time in two weeks, the Trump Organization faced calls to cancel a planned event at Mar-a-Lago, President Trump’s private club in Palm Beach, Fla., because the event was being organized by a group that has espoused anti-Muslim views. The group, the Center for Security Policy, is holding a private event at Mar-a-Lago on Nov. 23, according to Fred Fleitz, the group’s president and chief executive. The center has been designated as a hate group with anti-Muslim ideology by the Southern Poverty Law Center. The Council on American-Islamic Relations, a civil rights organization also known as CAIR, called on Thursday for the Trump Organization to cancel the event. This month, the annual gala for an anti-Muslim organization, ACT for America, which was slated to be held at Mar-a-Lago in November, was canceled after news reports appeared about that event. Who wants to sleep where there were bed bugs & eat at a place that has roaches crawling up the kitchen walls. Not to mention that it needed 7 Presidential suites, it only has 1. 2 helipads would have had to be built on the greens & then removed after it was over. then the greens would have to be redone. Add that to the fact that in June, there's barely 30% occupancy, so he could cash in during the slow months.
He was trying to get a remodel on tax payers backs & up his intake $$'s for the slow months.

Trump is blaming Democrats and the media for his canceling Doral. Since when has Trump ever made a decision based on what Democrats or the media had to say? I'm positive that it was Republican push back which led to this decision. Democrats and the media just make convenient scapegoats.

I wonder if Mick has "gotten over" being trotted out to the press with his arrogant attitude tell us this is how it is going to be. Well...and plus how the rest of the press conference went off the rails.

Baltimore is a beautiful city as long as you stay away from Jared Kushner's (trump's SIL) run down, full of housing violations properties nearby. Sure there are some trouble, low income areas, like many cities.

Donald J. Trump
@realdonaldtrump
I thought I was doing something very good for our Country by using Trump National Doral, in Miami, for hosting the G-7 Leaders. It is big, grand, on hundreds of acres, next to MIAMI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, has tremendous ballrooms & meeting rooms, and each delegation would have...

Syria pushed a few devotees outside the circle. He has to save up his friends so someone is left when he does the next thing his own party doesn't like. I'm glad to hear he at least listens sometimes to someone.
