Well explained and worth the complete read. Harvard psychiatrist Lance Dodes: Donald Trump is a "sociopath" and "a very sick individual"Harvard professor and psychoanalyst on the "antiquated" Goldwater rule and our president's "serious mental illness" The president of the United States is a global celebrity whose every action is endlessly commented upon and dissected for meaning by the news media, foreign powers (both friends and foes alike) and the public. In the age of television and now the internet, there are hundreds of thousands of hours of video and audio footage of every president widely available. There are also rumors and leaks from within the White House and other branches of government that can help paint a picture of a given president's moods, desires, thoughts and other behavior. What is to be done if this evidence collectively suggests that the president of the United States is mentally ill? Unfortunately, with Donald Trump this is not the stuff of a political thriller. It is painfully plausible and all too real. The evidence suggesting that Donald Trump may have serious mental health problems is overwhelming. He is a compulsive liar who creates his own fantasy world. Trump is also extremely moody and impulsive. Trump's advisers have to satisfy his extreme narcissism and nurture his detachment from reality by presenting him -- on a twice-daily basis -- with a file folder full of "good news." Fellow Republicans have been recorded on a hot mike suggesting that Trump may be "crazy." The American news media, as well as commentators from other countries, have voiced serious concerns about Trump's mental health and the threat it poses to global security. Entire article here: Harvard psychiatrist Lance Dodes: Donald Trump is a "sociopath" and "a very sick individual"

Of course he's a dangerous sociopath. Remember when that 80 old man fell off the stage at Mar A Lago and hit his head on the floor, bleeding profusely? Trump was more concerned about the floor. Donald Trump Shared a Hilarious Story About Not Wanting to Help a Dying Man "He was right in front of me, and I turned away. I didn’t want to touch him." "He’s bleeding all over the place, I felt terrible. You know, beautiful marble floor, didn’t look like it. It changed color. Became very red." www.gq.com/story/donald-trump-howard-stern-story

He has never had the entire human gnome....he's lacking several things, like compassion.

Whatever his problem is, it's obvious he's not "right" in the head.
Of course, I remember joking way back when Reagan was in office, especially towards the end of his presidency, that I thought he had Alzheimer's. He wasn't publicly diagnosed with it for years later, but I wasn't surprised when it came out on the news.

A stutter has nothing to do with intelligence. I have a brother that has had a stutter his entire life. He's in no way less intelligent than anyone else because of it.

We're comparing a POTUS who continually lies to one who sometimes stuttered?
Oh, the horror of sometimes tripping over your words. Unless you're Bush Jr, who did that kind of thing all the time, and the GOPers never batted an eye.

There are studies that show that people who stutter are generally smarter than the average person. A quick search will find articles where the difference in IQ is variously reported as 14, 22, and 15-29 points higher for stutterers. Not definitive, but....

We know that my brother's stutter is tied to emotional abuse as a child. From his age 1-6 were the worst years in our childhood. He stuttered from his first word. As an adult, it comes out on certain words/phrases all the time, but it will be overwhelming when he's upset or stressed. He has never been able to say my full name. never. It's why I'm just steff or sissy to him.
He's owned his own business & still works in the tech industry. His stutter hasn't held him back and has absolutely NOTHING to do with his intelligence.
Those that think it does & make fun of people who stutter are fucking turds & bullies.

I really don't know if the Donald is a true racist...true raciest in history would be Hitler, Goring, the death camp commandants..Eichman and such and in our country those Dixie crats of the 50's , Strom Thurman and other segregationist politicians and those garden types who out themselves within a five minute conversation, if five minutes are needed, Father Coughlin of the 30's...members of the American German Bund.
As a billionaire who owned his own businesses basically out right, I believe he found , by his wealth and position, he was easily able to speak his mind with no objections as he surrounded himself with yes men and woman...like his now jailed attorney...there to have a living by being his toadies...
He was a success there and is continuing his same way of acting now as POTUS with our country and also with other nations...giving all his allegiance to his base which contains many, not all, but a preponderance of folks who can be called raciest. He plays to them and feels since he won doing the same in 2016...he feels by doubling down, and realizes it's not majority vote that makes u a winner in our Presidential but the electoral...thats what he is counting on.

The article in the OP is an opinion, unethical, and unofficial speculation reading more like a political attack. I find it shocking that a psychiatrist, Lance Dodes, would publicly discuss the mental health of a patient and a public figure clearly violating the Goldwater Rule. The Goldwater Rule The Goldwater rule is the informal name given to section 7 in the American Psychiatric Association's (APA) Principles of Medical Ethics,[1] which states that it is unethical for psychiatrists to give a professional opinion about public figures whom they have not examined in person, and from whom they have not obtained consent to discuss their mental health in public statements. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goldwater_rule

And I agree with him as it pertains to trump. trump's behavior and mental state is available for all to see and hear. his thoughts in Tweets are available for all to read. It's like observing a mentally deranged patient through a one-way mirror and listening to his rants and raving. Easy diagnosis.

This is a man who puts his extreme narcissism out there for the whole world to see.
He knows more about taxes than anyone in the history of the world! He knows more about the military than the generals! He knows more about drones than anyone who has ever lived! He has the highest IQ! He knows more about nuclear energy than physicists! He knows more about Finnish forests than Finns! He knows more about fighting fires than firefighters! He knows more about climate change than climatologists! He knows more about Cory Booker than Cory Booker knows himself! He knows more about infrastructure than anybody! He knows more about technology than anybody!
This is a man who can barely READ!

This is where we differ in opinions.
I believe it will be Pres. Obama that will go down as the worst and most damaging USA president in history.
