I told DH they need to invent something that will store and cook food all in one. Or maybe something which will cook then do the dishes afterward?
They call them restaurants. They tend to be pretty pricy. Good one.

So the iPad sold. Now the buyer says he is "nervous" because I don't have much recent feedback. I have been on eBay since 2002 and have a feedback score of over 1500. Should have checked that out before he bid. Told him to filter on feedback as a seller and he can see the feedback, but it is all over a year old. The buyers of the few things I have sold this calendar year did not leave feedback. I can't make them leave feedback. He hasn't paid yet.

That's one of the ways that ebay frustrates me (I say as I get ready to log on and post a number of things for sale). I also don't like the new format. I preferred the old font and look. The new font and look is too...soft. That's the only way I can think to describe it.

He sent another message last night that he had "decided" to pay and he did pay. I thanked him for the payment and he responded he will check it out and if it works, he will leave feedback. It works right now. I will ship it to him this afternoon.
I also told him I'm not a dealer or professional seller. I just try to sell things I no longer need and want a wider audience than FB garage sales. Maybe I should have gone that route.

Projects for this week/weekend:
1. Paint ceilings in dining room, foyer and living room.
2. Start painting trim (crown moulding and chair rail - we are replacing the base moulding) in dining room, foyer and living room (hoping to get 2 coats on everything).
3. Organize DS#2 fishing gear in garage. It is a hot mess pushed into a corner. I told him my ideas this morning and he is looking forward to helping.
4. Need to look at counters on Saturday AM and make our final decision for kitchen. I need to show DH my final choice - got the quote so it is in line with budget.
We did get all the trim around doors and baseboards removed this past week end and that is in a pile to burn. Had a couple soccer games to attend so that slowed us a bit. Had to order 2 more cabinets for kitchen because contractor saw a problem with sizes. Super nervous right now - sliding door was to be delivered tomorrow for installation tomorrow afternoon - now they are not sure that is going to happen. If that doesn't happen, contractor can't install until next week. But hey, in the grand scheme of things, whats another week......

People tend to want to pay as little as possible...like, ridiculously low. I had sports bras listed for $7 each--that I had paid $30 each for--and a woman wanted to know if I would take $10 for all five.

Last night I folded and put away towels, processed fruit for lunches, and tossed a bit of food we didn't get to. Need to keep an eye on that. I finished filling and started the dishwasher this morning and took out the trash. If I could only come in to the office at noon every day... Per our conversation last week about one pot meals including Crock Pots, I'd forgotten about these. They really do make cleanup easier. I used one for yesterday's pork chops.

I decided I would only try to sell there if it's something I absolutely do not want to ship. The few things I have sold that way I never got close to what I had listed as the asking price. Turns out my buyer had never participated in an auction on eBay. He had only bought things at a fixed price. I don't know if that means he didn't really intend to bid or what. It's shipped and I've sent him the tracking number. I turned it on one more time and it takes you to the set up page like it should because I reset it to factory settings. I don't think I've ever had that many messages with a buyer on eBay unless there has been a problem. He may have had cold feet after he won. He didn't bid until the final minute of the auction for his first bid. I looked and I joined eBay in 2001 and have both bought and sold off and on since that time. So he's concerned with my 1500+ score and he has less than 70. As long as it isn't dead on arrival, it's his. It only has about 10 hours of use on it.

I hope it goes well with the sale TheO! One more thing out of the house! I had my cast party late last March. The director left a shopping bag and tea towel. This Thurs is the AGM for our theater troupe. I texted her to ask her if she's going, she is. So that shopping bag (tea towel inside) is now in the car! It has been "in transit" since March! As I mentioned yesterday, DS2 came over for dinner last night, and I went to bed late. This is literally the first day since last Mon that I have not had a social engagement.I told A that I am not doing great so I'm not sure to see her tomorrow after work. She was fine with that, but I'd still like to try. We'll see.

You're making me sorry I didn't bid on it, TheOtherMe! ohmomto2boys, what finish are you using for the wood trim? Semi-gloss, satin, something else? I'm dithering about choices. I'm thinking satin for the wood trim then eggshell for the doors, but then think semi-gloss might be best. Also, wood trim outside - semi-gloss seems to make most sense but it shows imperfections so well.

As for FB stuff...happened again. I have a jewelry armoire listed for $50 (retails for $300-$400) and some knucklehead asked if I'll take $30.

Maybe, just maybe, A can recognize that when she was struggling you were there for her A LOT and show up as a supportive friend for you too. I was thinking exactly the same thing startsmart . This said, I went on my way home today, and was home by 6.30. One less thing to do this weekend. Laundry caught up and put away, dishwasher run and emptied. This week
- see A/Wed
- redo PPT/Wed
- create last 2 online class spaces/Wed
This weekend - theater meeting/Thurs - DS3 dentist/Sat - party/Sat This weekend should be fine, everything is fairly local. I can skip everything but the dentist if I want.
Last weekend of the semester with no marking.

finnime - using semi-gloss on trim. Eggshell for the walls, Flat for ceilings. It's coming together - slowly, but surely. Sliding door was delivered today (so excited). Contractor is to install tonight. I hope that goes well.

I'm getting a home equity loan to pay off a bunch of stuff and extend the amount of time to pay them off at a lower interest rate. I was shocked at the amount of money my house is supposedly worth. Maybe I do need to get it ready to sell it.
Came back $12000 higher than Zillow. The loan office at the credit union suggesting getting approved for the maximum amount so I don't have to go through the process if and when the furnace dies. I can just pay for it in cash. Yes, it would be on a loan, but no waiting around to have to get a loan.
The house is 10 years old and I know the a/c and furnace are builder grade. The company who has serviced them told me that. I looked up the name under the name I recognize that is on the inside of the furnace and it is definitely builder grade.
I have a trip planned in October and then I'm slowing way down on traveling.
I am going to have the bathroom and living/dining/kitchen painted over the winter. It needs it after 10 years.

The HE loan sounds like a good idea Theo, but why would you want to sell now? Unless I'm missing something.

Then you need pay off only what you use. Like, $1000 here...pay it off; $2000 a year later...pay it off; rather than $10000, have to make payments as soon as it's disbursed.

Stopping by really quick before a 4 day weekend. Just returned from the big city where I: Dropped off 2 boxes at Goodwill. Returned my sister's tote to her full of recent magazines and 4 egg cartons for her co-worker. Took an empty toner cartridge to Office Depot for recycling. Last night I mailed off 11 empty egg cartons to a chicken and duck owning friend. She'll be surprised. Have a fantastic rest of your week, everyone!

Some loans are being combined and I want to have the inside of the house painted. Then I hope not to touch it unless something like the furnace goes out.

Just thinking to myself that is a lot of money about the appraisal. Can't wait to see it because nothing has sold on my street in the last two years. I have a lot of equity in this house even with the HELOC used to it's max. I have to keep it open 3 years or pay to close it. However, it can have a zero amount owed.

TheOtherMe you are doing the same thing we are, taking out a HELOC. Our home also appraised 35k higher than zillow says. We also need to keep it open for 3 years to avoid any fees, even if we use none of the funds. I started a thread to ask about any cons and got some good responses.

The eBay buyer must have checked out the iPad because he left favorable rating. I'm just happy he was happy because he was a bit of a pain to deal with.

Updating again -- dropped all completed items so that I can see what I have left on the list. Meeting a friend to go to an estate sale this morning so not sure what will get done before I leave the house. Contains of a local high end fabric store are included. Hope to NOT find anything I want. Goals for the coming week:
*Handyman -- Friday afternoon *Finished started project -- a little done on a regular basis *Photo of at least one new item for Etsy shop. *File the pile

Sliding door was installed yesterday. Very happy with it. Going to flooring store this afternoon to pay deposit so the materials can be ordered. My brother is picking up a loveseat from our house tomorrow morning. Glad he can use it and glad to get it out of the house. Continue to paint woodwork and ceilings tomorrow. Sunday we are gone most of the day to MLB game. Still trying to find right paint color for walls in kitchen, foyer and up the stairs and hallway. I love that you can buy small sample containers - it is worth the $4, however I am on my 4th color

This weekend- theater meeting/Thurs
- Quickbooks/Fri
- email DH's accountant/Fri
- Shitepile/Fri
- DS3 dentist/Sat Greatly enjoying my first full day home in 2 weeks. :-) Had a problem with 2 QB entries (the same problem). I called and they told me what I was doing wrong. Their customer service really is fabulous. Ran/emptied the dishwasher and did laundry. School is definitely less stressful than last fall. I'm doing the same number of hours at Job 1, but I'm there an extra 1/2 day, so no crazy long days. (I gave up a 1/2 day at Job 2.) So for now I'm doing 3h less/week. I'm still hoping for another staff/faculty class or two, I should know soon. (I schedule those myself, and there's no marking so they're easier than student classes.)
