But since it’s now left up to armed citizens to protect themselves against criminals because the courts don’t, so be it.

We had a carjacking here about 2 years ago. A mother went into the gas station to pay, leaving her baby in the car. As soon as the thief realized there was a child in the car, he abandoned it. The car was found 4 blocks away and everyone was unharmed. Did he turn himself in and apologize and promise to never do it again. Or just promise to only steal empty vehicles from now on ?

... I don’t consider theft to be a minor infraction. I suppose you do. ... I struggled with the right word. Taking a package of gum from a store without paying is a theft crime, breaking into a house and taking anything and everything of value is a theft crime, walking into a bank with guns a-blazing and leaving with bags of money is a theft crime, and hacking into financial records of others and transferring millions into an account you control is a theft crime. I just was thinking there might be some that might not get you the death penalty. If there isn't, there isn't. Remember, I am just attempting to understand where you are at in call to kill everyone who commits one crime.

... I did mention that if you wanted ... This isn't at all about what I might or might not want. I am attempting to understand what you want.

Yikes. The violent crime rate is still pretty low. I wish it wasnt such a great news story, because we are in a cycle. Scared people watch crime news to reinforce their fear, and because it makes them money, the news keeps reporting it, therefore creating the myth that we are all about to get attacked any minute now, creating more fear, which creates more viewers turning in. The likelihood of stanger danger violent crime is super low.

If we executed criminals after the first crime, it’d not happen over and over again until finally a law abiding citizen has to do the job that needed to be done in the beginning. While I don't agree with that for "non-violent" offenses (at least not first timers, anyway)... it made me think of this: I'm all for it for anyone that commits a violent crime (including a crime with a weapon where the THREAT of violence exists) though.
