(It’s pending. I asked chiver78 to post it for me.) By chance is it the wheelchair-bound older woman holding a placard?

people were able to hunt just fine before the AR-15. ftr: Ted Nugent won't even use a gun for hunting. he considers it unsportsmanlike.

this is brilliant. there is another one that i think about a lot: we are often told to HOPE a lot. and that gives us peace of mind during times of misery. but it also inhibits action. i mean, the term itself implies some distant unattainable goal. so, now is the time for action. not hope. let THEM hope for a change.

I'm curious how many of those marching would actually take the time to stop bullying or anything else that alienates kids (an no that isn't excusing anybody from taking a gun to kill people)? Not trying to be argumentative here, but the people doing the shooting weren't actually the owners of the weapons...so background checks wouldn't help much unless you are looking to extend background checks to family members or anybody else that might at some point potentially use them in an illegal way (of course bringing up the concern about that just opens up a whole other conversation). Kids have every right to march, and the arguments by both the adults and kids aren't new ones...but if you want to do some good, might start with the things you immediately within your power but I'm guessing a discussion bullying and alienation will get pushed to the back-burner because let's be real, fixing the issue isn't the real motive behind these marches or of those promoting the marches.

The Parkland High School shooter legally bought his weapon.

As did Las Vegas, and Pulse, etc. And in the case of those that don't own it - shouldn't it scare you that so many idiotic people are buying these guns that then lose them or allow others access?

The Newtown, Ct. shooter had easy access to his mother's weapons. The mother would have been prosecuted but her son murdered her too.
