I'm posting this now because apparently students at NYU have traveled into the future and watched the speech already... I can't wait!

I agree with some of the written comments. Would have be better if the questions were asked ........ 'did you hear the speech' ....... 'what do you think about it' Then get the students reaction when told the speech hasn't been made yet ETA ........ I thought it was hilarious ........... wonder if any of the students ever took a class in poli sci ...... how proud their parents and teachers must be ............

The Trump Era has begun. Modern American history will now be divided into before and after trump-- maybe BTE - before the Trump Era and ATE?

I posted this on my FB page right as the speech was starting. Take note of it. It is the most succinct and accurate analysis of President Trump's SOTU address you will read. It will become increasingly obvious over the course of the next few days and weeks just how profound a statement this is, and you will find yourself agreeing with it, and you will be more appreciative of my posts in the future.

When Dems can't even look happy about lower unemployment, more jobs and businesses in America, then what do they actually stand FOR?

When Dems can't even look happy about lower unemployment, more jobs and businesses in America, then what do they actually stand FOR? Yeah, about that: 2017 was the lowest of the last 7 years in job creation. Lucky that the unemployment was already low so the little few jobs added just helped nudge the numbers a bit. Nonetheless, big win! And with the latest string of layoffs from corporations that benefited from the new tax cuts I’m not sure those numbers will hold. So far he had been ridding the cotails of the last administration when it comes to the economy. We could give him credit for the last couple months and wait and see what’s in store from here on.

Satire from The Borowitz Report Sarah Huckabee Sanders Proofreads State of the Union One Last Time to Remove Any Remaining Facts
By Andy Borowitz WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—The White House press secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, is proofreading the text of tonight’s State of the Union address one last time to remove any remaining facts, Sanders confirmed on Tuesday. While a team of wordsmiths led by the senior adviser Stephen Miller has attempted to craft an entirely fact-free address, “It’s good to have a fresh set of eyes to root out any stray accuracies that might have crept in,” Sanders said. The press secretary said that, for example, while purging the speech of truths, she noticed a reference to the African-American unemployment rate standing at 6.8 per cent, a statistic that she deemed “unacceptably correct.” “I read that and my Sanders sense started tingling,” she said. Taking her blue pencil to the text, Sanders changed the number to a “better-sounding” 2.3 per cent. “That may seem like a tiny detail, but it’s stuff like that that separates the professional liars from the mere amateurs,” she said. Once Sanders is confident that she has obliterated any lingering traces of reality from the script, she will forward it to Donald J. Trump, who will insert misspellings. “It makes him more comfortable reading it on the teleprompter if things are spelled his way,” she said. The prospect of delivering tonight’s speech appears to have energized Trump, who tweeted early Tuesday morning that he was “very much looking forward to the Steak of the Onion.” link

So, Obama gets credit for the booming economy...but let me guess...not the slow-down (allegedly because I haven't vetted your un-sourced claim) in job creation?

When Dems can't even look happy about lower unemployment, more jobs and businesses in America, then what do they actually stand FOR? The contrast was EXTREMELY powerful visually. Obviously Trump has no control over how people will actually behave, but he's got a pretty good read on these people and I think he delivered a gushing with optimism, hopey-changey speech to bring out that contrast. I mean- the sackcloth and ashes- the garment-rending on the other side was absurdly negative. And it hurt- it hurt BIGLY. Just wait.

I liked Trumps speech, I listened to Kennedy's rebuttal
One point came clear,, That was the part that CEO's should have to share the wealth for the Corp. that they had built!
Redistribution of the wealth,, Do not share the risk,, enjoy the ill gotten rewards!

Tonight the Democratic Party showed the world who they are, while Trump reminded Americans and the world who we are. The Democrats looked ridiculous. They looked petty. They looked small. They looked pathetic.
