Well we have a lot of left over beer from out catered BBQ party........How long will beer "keep"?
Ideas on what to do with it (other than "drink it" which I am sure some of the smart alecs will say anyways :-)

Bottles or kegs? Bottles and cans last quite a while

There is no such thing as leftover beer. Cans and bottles will last months. If it is in a tapped keg under pressure and iced it will last 3 months. If it has been poured then it goes flat in hours.

Mmmmm... beer bread, beer pancakes, "dirty rice", beer and brauts...
Or a Beer Pong Tournament?

If you have slugs in your garden, pour some beer into a saucer or other container. The slugs will be drawn to it and drown.

Well, there are three four-letter words you don't see together often. I'm thinking beer batter for fish and seafood. I also use it to make pizza dough. The carbonation works very well with the yeast and makes a nice dough. Actually, beer can be used to make bread dough, too.

What is this leftover beer of which you speak? My then-wife bought beer a couple of times for a visiting relative. I have stuck on a shelf a can of Bud Light with a use by date in 2003, and a bottle of 15th Anniversary Pyramid Snow Cap from 2001. Anyone think they will ever become collector's items? ANY beer in my house is now and forever "leftover."

1 can of beer 2 tablespoons of honey 2 minced cloves of garlic 1 sprig of chopped cilantro Salt and pepper (heavier on the salt)
Marinate chicken for at least 30 minutes (overnight is better) and grill. You can bake it too if you'd like. If I bake it at 350 I turn the oven up to 400 for the last 30 minutes to get some char on it and make it a little crispy. It's good stuff.

bottles and cans will keep a really long time. if you intend to ever drink them, I'd suggest putting the date now on the bottle somewhere, because they will go flat eventually. as far as other uses, make some fried foods. beer goes awesome in batters. I've got what's left of a case of "Golden Monkey" beer from PA that a friend brought yikes, a year and a half ago. we use that in batter for onion rings. and then there's the jalapeno lager that I use in batter for fried chicken. and now I'm hungry. damn you.

Many months. Store in a cool, dark place. "Dark" applies especially to the bottles, 'light' affects taste.

I like the idea of beer pong tournament! Beer can chicken. Lots and lots of beer can chicken. Do three or four at a time. Eat one. Clean the carcasses and freeze the rest. Ready for quick meals when you're not feeling ambitious. For me, I'd end up eating chicken five times a week.

Save some for the adults who bring their kids to your door trick or treating. That. Or how about handing out the beer to the kids. You will never have Trick-or-Treaters again.

You wasted a perfectly good 9% beer on onion rings?! Also, Victory (maker of Golden Monkey) makes a sour version, aptly named Sour Monkey. Dangerously good.

I do remember some of the bottles having a big V on the caps, I'll have to look for the Sour Monkey.

Something to keep in mind for those times you run out of yeast.

And once again, Dannylion misses the party.
