RNC prayer: Please, Dear Lord, keep this man away from our convention for the third time in a row. Thank You Jesus.
Mr. Obama wasn't exactly standing tree stump still... I guess it's not possible for them to have been "in the moment with the song"? I don't have the patience to watch all of the clip now, but the 1 1/2 minutes I watched it just seems to me W really appreciated how the song was performed. I suppose it might have looked better to some if he had enjoyed it with less movement, but looks OK to me.

great expense and name recognition.... Neither of which are ever coorelated to quality of education... I don't know about all the Ivys, but I'll say I'm pretty impressed with Princeton and I'd love to go there as a student. Yes you have to apply yourself anywhere you go, but damn, that university has some great courses among other things.
Some places really do deserve their reputations.

Agreed. So what makes Michelle "the most educated First Lady in history"? Nothing (especially when both her poor grammar and poor spelling, in her Thesis, are taken into consideration). Well, for one thing, she's smart enough not to pilfer other peoples' speeches, hoping that nobody would catch on. You might want to fact check that...

When compared to the writing of other First Ladies when they were 21, one would have to say ... wait, what other examples are we looking at? By the time one is 21, spelling and basic grammar should be second nature. And we could compare it to Hillary's (same degrees, remember? Hillary had a Doctoral Thesis as well). Should be but rarely is. Compare away. Does she? Btw,interesting sentence structure.

You're comparing a paraphrase to a word for word copy? Have you seen the videos where they both talk at the same time? It's several sentences that are exactly the same.

Why O why do some republicans and RWers have such hard ons for Saul Alinsky? I still haven't read his book and likely will continue to not read it.

Well, for one thing, she's smart enough not to pilfer other peoples' speeches, hoping that nobody would catch on. You might want to fact check that... This is a case of common phrases. The meanings in the sentences are not similar. As Vurgil noted earlier, if some of the phrases used had been used, but in a different context, it wouldn't be plagarism... But Melinia basically had a paragraph drawn of exactly the same phrases one after another with the same meaning... It is totally not the same thing.

True, stupidity crosses all political boundaries. I'm just sick of the RW pseudo logic that passes for thinking. I avoid political pundits so I avoid most political stupidity on the far right and far left. TY self.

It's AN example. It's not THE ONLY example. There were more available that was just the first of many. Google "Michelle Obama plagerize -Melania" (to remove some of the cross talk from Melania's possible plagerism from the search result). See for yourself.

Twenty one words in a row the same as Michelle Obama's speech. Yes it was plagiarized. That was only the beginning of Trumps problem. His campaign handled the fact poorly trying to say it was common words and Melania wrote it. Then no she didn't write it. Looks like Trump has surrounded himself with incompetent liars like himself. The only speech that I remember is the one where Michelle said that was finally proud of her country,,,,, how many years?? That summed up Michelle for me.

Believe it or not... It takes time to get to each and every post... And no, YOU are probably not. However professional speechwriters are supposed to check to make sure that they aren't... even by coincidence or accident.

If that's an example, I don't want to waste my time for looking for others. I saw some crap posted in the comments section after one article. Not Michelle though, I think Obama. I remember I thought the poster was dreaming on one of the two examples. But they were so convinced of its worthiness they posted those two examples at least 5 separate times in the comments. You have to been a certain kind of crazy or paid to do that!

did the GOP do anything RIGHT at the convention, yet? Handed SNL a years worth of material with epic speed. Given late night comedians damn near unlimited fertile ground. the face palm emoji a serious bump up the top 10 emoji list. Twitter is a walking comedy show. Tune in at any time, day or night, and the jokes are all over the place. And we all found out that apparently Scott Baio is supposed to be a teen heartthrob again for the younger voters. who knew?

did the GOP do anything RIGHT at the convention, yet? Christie was pretty good tonight. Funny! Tiffany Trump handled herself very well at the podium. Donald Jr was excellent tonight, and he actually is a registered conservative Republican. He did not really do the puff piece on his dad as much as he went after Democrats and Hillary. One of his better lines was, instead of who do you trust to get the call at 3 am, he asked WHO would you rather call at 3 am? Ben Carson acted like he was on speed. Sort of. He actually talked at a normal speech speed tonight!

Oh, the actress from "the Bold and the Beautiful" was pretty good. I expected an idiot puff piece rather than an attack dog.
She is from California and has several small businesses now.
