anyone else watching live coverage? I may actually have to turn this off. between the sanctimonious bullshit, the absolute pandering to the base uneducated Trump supporter, and now they parade out the mother of one of the men killed at Benghazi.
tell me what you will do for the country, not bullshit about why the other candidate sucks.

I would expect no other response from you other than what you said. Your previous posts about Trump has told us all we need to know about your feelings. Go ahead and turn it off. I'll bet you did not think much of Marcus Luttrel either.
P.S. I will feel the same way about the Democratic convention, telling us how Hillary is our Savior as you do the Republican convention.

it may surprise you since you seem to have missed my saying as much already, but I don't love Hillary. I actually watch both major conventions, and as many of the nationally televised debates as my schedule allows. but don't let your assumptions cloud over fact.
as far as Luttrell? I thought he was strung out on something, for sure. comparisons to Ed Norton's speech at the end of American History X have come up in discussions elsewhere. that's compelling reason to listen to his suggestions about who to vote for, or not.
I have actually turned it off, in favor of a baseball game between a pair of NL teams that doesn't impact my team at all. I can't take that much bullshit in one night.

I would rather have a root canal without Novocain than watch either convention. They make me so mad with all the BS (on both sides!) that I just end up yelling at the television.
Anybody wanna hide under a rock with me until early November?

Just reading the news. Trump had the mother of a man killed in Benghazi.
Maybe Clinton can bring out all the people scammed out of thousands of dollars who attended Trump University.
Then bring out all the craft workers and business owners who were never paid after completing work on Trump properties.
Or the people of color who were refused housing by Trump Management Corporation, of which Trump was the president.
All sorts of folks can be paraded on stage to show how Trump treats others.

Rudy is in need of a thorazine enema.
I wouldn't want to live next door to Mark Luttrell.
Mrs. Smith needs some serious grief counseling and then a FedEx of all 9-10 Benghazi reports before she claims Hillary is at fault for her son's death and should be in prison.
On a more positive note I saw 4 Black people in the crowd and 1 speaking. Can't say I saw any Hispanics.

I don't have TV and I wouldn't watch the convention proceedings even if I did, but I'm curious if there's going to be an attempted "coup" by delegates at the RNC.
I know the odds are slim to none, even on an attempt, but that would be something worth watching. I'd live stream it just to see the look on Mr. Trump's face.

They attempted to call for a floor vote on the rules I think, attempting to free delegates up to 'vote their concious', and have closed primaries in 2020. I just glanced over though, didn't confirm. Maybe someone else knows better?

Wow. They're not exaggerating when they call it "civil war". I have to admit, the most die-hard Republicans I know positively loathe Donald Trump. Enough to stay home on election day, even if that means Ms. Clinton gets in.

I don't watch Fox and know little about Roger Ailes. But I wonder what the delay is all about. Are Ailes and Trump somehow joined at the hip? And would the firing of Ailes before the convention end somehow negatively impact Trump? Or does Murdock not want his news programs impacted with the firing of Ailes while the convention was ongoing. Murdochs Have Decided to Remove Roger Ailes — the Only Question Now Is WhenRoger Ailes's tenure as the head of Fox News may be coming to an end. Rupert Murdoch and sons Lachlan and James — co-chairmen and CEO, respectively, of parent company 21st Century Fox — have settled on removing the 76-year-old executive, say two sources briefed on a sexual-harassment investigation of Ailes being conducted by New York law firm Paul, Weiss. After reviewing the initial findings of the probe, James Murdoch is said to be arguing that Ailes should be presented with a choice this week to resign or face being fired. Lachlan is more aligned with their father, who thinks that no action should be taken until after the GOP convention this week. Another source confirms that all three are in agreement that Ailes needs to go. Murdochs Have Decided to Remove Roger Ailes — the Only Question Now Is When

From the link... Isn't "squelch[ing]" the voices of the people exactly what people like Unruh were trying to do (by trying to unbind delegates to the will of the voters of their individual states) though? Seems a little hypocritical to me for them to complain about it happening to them.

Curious that they're demanding a vote for the right to vote on rules on how delegates vote to elect a candidate the public can vote for.

Don't you mean: "They were demanding for a right to vote on rules on how delegates could vote to elect a candidate in opposition of the voter's votes that already voted for the person they voted for, and so the delegates could then violate their oaths that they took when they became delegates and instead vote for someone the voters said that they didn't want"?

Is it just me or does anybody else always read "Melania" as a cross between "melanin" and "malaria"? I always read "Mel on ya'." (as in "sexually mounted by Mel")... and then think "damn, lucky bastard"... but maybe that's just me...
