HA HA - Ivanka's line is designed for "Women who work." Donald said that Ivanka was responsible for penning his maternity leave platform - which only gives leave to married women. Pregnant working women whose union wasn't blessed by a deity are plumb out of luck.

Quote removed for moderation. Jaguar - Administrator I'm just guessing, but I think that the "HA HA" was that she might be distancing herself from her father. I don't think Jaguar would laugh at a failing business... just a gut feeling.

I'm just guessing, but I think that the "HA HA" was that she might be distancing herself from her father. I don't think Jaguar would laugh at a failing business... just a gut feeling. I certainly hope so...somebody being estranged from their family is a lot more funnier than having their business fail! In the case of Trump, it actually is pretty funny. All he had to do was not be a misogynistic, racist, egotistical, bigot... Something pretty simple for MOST people. Her wanting some distance from him makes a LOT of sense. ETA: and yeah, I get that he's got lots of pictures with minorities, and women, and school kids from in the past... but one was an act and the other one wasn't. Maybe he's "really" a nice guy and all this was an act as a "ha ha" on the electorate. Or... maybe all that previously was an act. Either way the guy running for president either IS or is ACTING LIKE a misogynistic, racist, egotistical, bigot. ETA II: and... the saddest part of the election... even having said all that, and as awful of a choice to be president as he is... he's still a better choice than Clinton.

I still can't believe one of those assholes is going to be elected. It's shameful. The idea of either of them standing up and having the oath of office makes me ill and ashamed. I didn't watch obama take office and I sure won't watch hil.

I expect this is just a blip for Ivanka and everyone will stop caring about their boycott as soon as the election is over. Every now and then I am reminded that we should all be boycotting Nestle, but I never remember what products they own, and I expect people will do the same and just buy her clothes based on how they look and fit.

People boycotting Ivanka probably never wore her clothes to begin with.

People boycotting Ivanka probably never wore her clothes to begin with. Some did if the comments on the person's FB page who started this is any indication. But I agree sales should rebound if Trump loses.

Trump winning is a disaster. Trump losing and rallying a bunch of gun nuts against a "crooked" Clinton government is also a disaster, how many times do you have to choose between the lesser of two evils before you end up with pure evil?

I don't know how I feel about boycotting ivanka, how fair that may be to make her the focus. Could be, I haven't paid that much attention to her individually so idk. I might be a potential customer that would purchase her clothes for business meetings, but I probably won't. Not sure if that is boycotting, but her line wasn't on my radar, and this election hasn't put it there. I'm not sure the donald's base has many who would be ivanka line purchasers. Boycotting donald? absolutely. Not sure if I was ever a customer, however, but I will take pains to not become one. Why is nestle being boycotted? is it the water monopoly they are attempting?

heatst.com/world/exclusive-fbi-granted-fisa-warrant-covering-trump-camps-ties-to-russia/The FISA warrant was granted in connection with the investigation of suspected activity between the server and two banks, SVB Bank and Alfa Bank. However, it is thought in the intelligence community that the warrant covers any ‘US person’ connected to this investigation, and thus covers Donald Trump and at least three further men who have either formed part of his campaign or acted as his media surrogates. The warrant was sought, they say, because actionable intelligence on the matter provided by friendly foreign agencies could not properly be examined without a warrant by US intelligence as it involves ‘US Persons’ who come under the remit of the FBI and not the CIA. Should a counter-intelligence investigation lead to criminal prosecutions, sources say, the Justice Department is concerned that the chain of evidence have a basis in a clear warrant. In June, when the first FISA warrant was denied, the FBI was reportedly alarmed at Carter Page’s trip to Moscow and meetings with Russian officials, one week before the DNC was hacked. Counter intelligence agencies later reported to both Presidential candidates that Russia had carried out this hack; Donald Trump said publicly in the third debate that ‘our country has no idea’ if Russia did the hacking. The discovery of the Trump Tower private Russian server, however, communicating with Alfa Bank, changed matters, sources report. To further complicate the story, the FISA warrant was allegedly granted in part because of the involvement of Vladimir Putin’s own daughters. One is married to a senior official at Gazprom, where Carter Page and Paul Manafort reportedly have holdings; another to Kirill Shamalov, a banking official. The fact that the alleged warrant was a FISA warrant is itself significant. The court exists to grant warrants to examine cases concerned with Foreign Intelligence. That doesn't sound good for Trump... IF something actually comes of it... and IF the Justice department actually does anything with it. Since they let Clinton slide and we know that they actually had a credible case (people are serving time for lesser offences with less evidence)... their track record in "doing something about illegal activity, when it's someone who is rich and powerful that's in their cross-hairs" is somewhat in doubt. Slate had a big write up on this. www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/cover_story/2016/10/was_a_server_registered_to_the_trump_organization_communicating_with_russia.html
I'm not an IT expert by any means so I'm not qualified to tell how critical this is. It is true that a Trump server was talking to a Russian bank owned by oligarchs, but the contents of the communication isn't known. Could it be mass email spam? "Out of office" notices that pinged back and forth? Although it does seem curious, the timing of the transmissions compared to what was going on in the campaign, and the fact that the server got shut down by the Russians once a media outlet announced they were aware of it.
Trump does have significant ties to Russian businesses. Russia is very interested in helping him get elected, because they much prefer him to HRC. Just how much 'help' was exchanged is the question.

The boycott thing started due to some of their marketing practices for formula that ended up harming a lot of third world babies, whose moms would get started on free formula samples and then not being able to pay for enough to keep their baby healthy after the free supply ran out and their breast milk was dried up. The water bottling and exporting out of California during a drought was the first I had heard of it, and of course the new water bottling facility they want to open up in Phoenix, since there is still some of the Colorado River water available. Apparently they have been boycotted off and on from the 70's and most of the country hasn't even noticed.

I hope the hate this campaign has stirred up goes away soon. I don't care who wins, it has to stop. I feel like I'm in the 60's again and I don't like it.

Here's an opinion piece by David Brooks on the NYT - he is a conservative commentator but who is against DT www.msn.com/en-us/news/opinion/the-banality-of-change/ar-AAjSQI9I like this last statement - Many of us disagree strongly with many Clinton policies. But any sensible person can distinguish between an effective operating officer and a whirling disaster who is only about himself. The thing about reality TV is that it isn’t actually real. In the real world, the process of driving change is usually boring, remorseless and detail oriented, but the effect on people out there, like the guy in Idaho, can be profound and beautiful.

I doubt Hillary has any solutions to the problems, on the other hand i have no doubt Donald will create more problems. America like Great Britain cannot go back to what they used to be, the world order has changed and standing in the way of progress is depriving future generations of their opportunities.

I'd be interested in knowing how much Gary Johnson made a difference in this election...in a lot of the close races, the votes he received could have put the other candidate over the top if he pulled heavily from one or the other. It also shows one of my main issues with the "winner take all" Electoral College because you can't tell me in states that are split pretty evenly, it's right to just tell half the voters of that state that their votes didn't matter. It's one thing to lose, it's another to just say they don't count at all.

Apparently women are not voting for Clinton. How anyone with a uterus could vote for Trump is completely beyond me.
