Putting special needs kids in regular classrooms got out of hand as well. It was a good idea but then got abused. This is another. I don't think the particular issue for this particular case really has a lot of support, even on the left. I do think people are cautious about speaking out against it for fear of how it might be construed though. Like I mentioned in an earlier post, I don't think even those on the left thought an issue like this would ever really get to the point of legal intervention to allow kids to use the facilities for genders they identify with as opposed to the gender they actually are biologically. I am sure many people see the absurdity and potential issues of this particular situation, even if they feel for the student.
