a Slurpee? Seriously it's been about a year since I've had one.
It's not even that hot here today. Normally if I want something in the afternoon it's a salty or savory craving.
Distract me peeps, anyone else craving something different than normal?

We used to have Highs dairy stores here that served icees they were better than slurpees in my opinion. The best was blue raspberry.

What's a slurpee? Oh, that squishy thing with all the coloring...I just want a smoke.
And I want real ice cream...double scoop of chocolate mint, please and thanks.

a chili cheese, foot-long hot dog from Sonic Dive-In. We have a Sonic not far from the house, but I've never been there. I'm saving myself for vacation right now. I don't crave a lot of things, but I do want a lobster roll while I am away. I prefer it hot, with toasted buns.

Speaking of cravings...even the Pope has his: ...Pope Francis may as well be renamed Pope Foodie: The leader of the Catholic Church has a well documented penchant for good food and drink, beyond specially blended coffee. The Pope — who is an honorary sommelier — is a fan of wine and has publicly stated, "Without wine, there's no party." He is also partial to ice cream, dulce de leche cakes, and risotto... www.eater.com/2015/9/16/9336941/pope-francis-master-coffee-taster-special-blend-us-tour?ref=yfpI knew I liked this guy.

Dessert. Red velvet with cream cheese icing. Or mint chocolate ice cream and brownie sundae with whipped cream. I also saw some spectacular onion rings at lunch. They would have been better than my meal. My coworkers got fabulous crab cakes. The waiter stammered and stuttered and couldn't tell me whether they had preservatives so I couldn't have one

And I like it spicy, but not "kill your taste buds" spicy. He owns three restaurants there. All of them are quite good, I am told. He does not cook at any of his restaurants regularly (frankly, the man no longer has to work behind the stove, given the money he makes at other ventures, such as TV, personal appearances, cookbooks, cookware) but has been known to stop by all his restaurants. I'm not a fan of his whole schtick, but I'll give him this: he is a huge contributor to charitable causes, campaigns heavily for making fresh food available in poor neighborhoods, and was one of the very few restaurant owners who continued to pay his staff when Katrina demolished the city and closed everything. He did not want to lose his people, so he paid them to stay and work and rebuild. Most of them did.

Red velvet cheesecake! I know that's not what you said wvugurl26, but close enough! That could work. That stuff is like crack I swear. Basically I want dessert because my lunch was such crap. I ordered a turkey club and it came on icky white bread untoasted and without cheese or bacon.

So you got a turkey sandwich and charged for the good stuff you didn't get? Screw that. You need some red velvet cheesecake!

Orrrr....maybe a "purple cow" FROM a Purple Cow ....(there is still one along Interstate 90 in Hardin Montana!!! I had to look that up. It sounds disgusting in its original form. Then I cam across a recipe that added vodka. Now that could make you see purple cows, depending on how much of it you drink.

Ooooo, I haven't had a DQ chili cheese dog in a long time. But, of course if I made the drive to DQ, I'd have to have some of their ice cream, too. Maybe a mini version of a Peanut Buster Parfait. They are a good combination of sweet & salty.
