What do you do when you are alone and don't have anyone to account to?
TD was gone for a few days last week and one of the days he was gone, I spent the entire day in my pajamas. Yep, even walked the dog in 'em! I called out for Thai food one night and ate the whole damn thing without feeling guilty. Next day, I called a friend who lives down the road to see if she was free and met her for lunch. Before I met her, I went to Ulta and browsed there for nearly an hour (and spent waaay more money than I should have). I hung out at her house and the only reason why I left early was because I knew that the dog would have needed to go out. I had Dots for dinner.
Life was good!

Unfortunately, being alone and not having anything to do are not the same. When it's just me, I tend to eat worse and have that extra glass of wine. But life goes on, other than that. Now, if I had days when I had nothing to do (which never occurs), I'd be binge-watching TV, I think. I never get to do that!

Well, I live alone and pretty much do whatever the hell I want all the time - LOL. I have Mondays off from work. This past Monday I walked 4 miles in the morning, grabbed food from Panera, went home and watched 3 episodes of Sons of Anarchy.

I get to binge watch what *I* want to watch without disruptions. I took a day off last month when the kids were in school and that's exactly what I did. DH was at work so I didn't have to worry about his input either. It was glorious! Now I want to check my calendar and see when I can do that again.

I binge watch cheesy horror movies on Netflix and then wonder why I wasted time watching such silly stuff.

Some of my guilty pleasure TV includes Vampire Diaries, Catfish, Naked and Afraid... once in a while I lose tomboy points and like Say Yes to the Dress I binge watch X-Files and Star Trek (TNG and lately TOS) too, but I don't consider those *guilty* pleasures. OH - and yarn stores. That's a guilty pleasure any knitter can relate to I'm sure...

I stay in my jammies & read a bbok all day. Then I turn on the TV & binge watch what has backed up on my DVR. Or maybe order a movie on demand.

Not really the sons of anarchy part. But the Mondays off. I'm too jealous to live.

Next Monday I am going to binge watch Season 4 of The Walking Dead You know, we missed ALL of last season and my mother keeps bugging me to watch so we can talk about it! Ugh I just don't know, I liked it for the first couple years but.... I guess I should try to watch some of it. Is it on demand or netflix?

I am addicted which is why I have to wait until I have several hours available before I start watching it - LOL! I can't watch just one episode. I typically end up watching 2-3.

Guilty pleasure is walking a dog in pajamas I am sorry. No, my guilty pleasure is not getting dressed all day and I didn't even get dressed to walk the dog. When I lived alone, I could pretty much do anything I wanted whenever I wasn't working. Right now, I don't have that luxury anymore, so it becomes a bit more precious now. I also watch trashy TLC shows......

Guilty pleasure is a food thing for me as well. Favorite would either be a plate of pasta or a pot of matzoh ball soup with chicken, noodles, celery, carrots and onions. Wait, you walked the dog nekkid?

Sometimes, when nobody is looking, I throw Osmocote onto the grape hyacinths. The invasive little monsters don't need the fertilizer but it makes me feel nurturing.

The sweetie has a week-long trip planned and I am struggling to contain my excitement at home! LOL. He actually knows I like the quiet time.
When he is around a tv is always on. Drives me batty. Plus we share custody of his two kids with his ex, and when they are there 2 or 3 tvs are on, someone is always talking, someone is always hungry, and then subsequently leaving dirty dishes around. So I will have a whole week of no one but my furry critters to live with. Bliss. I plan to enjoy some silence, and then to watch a bunch of stupid crap on tv. I may go to the store and by ice cream, which I will eat while sitting on the couch in my pj's while watching whatever the hell I want. Or just staring off into space.
The only flaw in my plan is my MIL, who is generally up my ass the whole time her son is out of town. WTF?

Sometimes, when nobody is looking, I throw Osmocote onto the grape hyacinths. The invasive little monsters don't need the fertilizer but it makes me feel nurturing. This reminds me of my failed attempt at plant nuturing. I love begonias and wanted mine to be giant and beautiful so I faithfully fertilized my pot every other time I watered. Hey if a little fertilizer is good, lots is better, right? The poor thing came up and leafed out in the strangest way - kind of like bowed up umbrellas in stalks, leaves all round and cupped rather than flat and broad. Dr Seuss plants. Or plants on crack. I finally figured out I was overdoing it on the fertilizer and pulled the pot into the yard and watered it with a ton of water to try to flush out the excess, and then didn't fertilize it again the rest of the season. It was able to produce normal looking leaves after that, and while it wasn't giant, it wasn't dead, either. I guess like with alcohol and chocolate, you really shouldn't consume as much fertilizer as is physically possible.

Any way to make sweetie understand that his mom may turn up missing if she doesn't leave you be and he could get her to stay away?? I know, I know, but thought I'd ask. Tell him I have lots of freezer space.

You should tell her you are also leaving town. Can you hide the car Would that I could!!! She knows if I were actually out of town, she would be dog-sitting. And she has a key. If she thought no one was there, she'd probably come over and start poking around! LOL. I hope I'm joking, but I'm really not sure. It is also her freaking birthday while her son is away. Gah! Seriously people, Jewish MIL's are no joke. Maybe I should buy her "Boundaries" for her birthday?

DH took off this morning to deal with the Monster-in-Law. I am unsupervised for 9 days. My biggest challenge is figuring out where to hide all the empty wine bottles since recycling doesn't get picked up again for two weeks.

LOL, too subtle. And with all the new testament references she wouldn't think it applied to her anyway.
I'm thinking of gifting mine The Verbally Abusive Relationship.

Guilty pleasure when DH is gone? Not cooking. Dinner may be cheese, crackers and wine. Or maybe cereal.

When I had 3 young kids at home, I used to enjoy travelling for work. Get to stay in a nice hotel, eat whatever I want for dinner, have a little wine, then wake up the next morning and not have to yell at anyone to get ready for school.

LOL our neighbor's 40+ year son did that to us! (Yes he was living in her basement until recently).
One morning we left to go to work with our recycling bin half full with the usual assortment of cans, bottles and plastic. I returned mid-morning for some reason and found our bin over-flowing with those big Miller beer bottles. I didn't mind that he filled our container but I resented that the whole neighborhood would think we drank that crap!

I've been watching Haven (Sci Fi) and just finished season 4. I'm going to be Jonesing this evening! I pretty much do whatever I want and there are enough TVs in the house that we can both control the remote if we don't agree on the show/movie. The only thing I can't have is a boyfriend. DH is so mean!
