I stay home in my jammies and read or knit. Or I hit the day spa for some pampering.

DH took off this morning to deal with the Monster-in-Law. I am unsupervised for 9 days. My biggest challenge is figuring out where to hide all the empty wine bottles since recycling doesn't get picked up again for two weeks. My recyclling company solved that problem for us. They gave us mini dumpsters with lids. Now the only people who know how much I drink are the guys who empty it!

I like to lay around in the mornings, get some things done, but not work too hard. I like to be in my pajamas. I've actually had to buy better pajamas since I've retired ! I like to just be able to do things on the fly, such as what we did today. We ate lunch in Plymouth ( not going to that place again ) and then went for a nice ramble in the downtown and nearby residential areas. We looked at the beautiful fall colors, commented on everyone's nice landscaping, and sat on a nice bench in front of a dentist's office (thank you Dr. McCarty ), and listened to the birds. So far, a very nice day.
Also, guilty pleasures include looking at jewelry I won't or can't buy (either online or in stores), looking at horses, walking the dog, walking with my DH, not obeying people who just want me to do things ( I obey the law, obviously, but I don't obey people who just want to order me to do something, or be a certain way), and, for some reason, I love to watch most of the judge shows on tv. Righ now, I particularly like "Hot Bench." Judge Judy has gotten boring because she always says the same things on her show. I also like Judge Milian on Peoples' Court.
Also, spaghetti and meatballs from the Olive Garden. And nectarines. And, for some reason, graham crackers.

Bonny, OMG. The son can't even face his mother's wrath regarding his beer bottles. Thank God my DD moved out more or less in her twenties. She did return for a year when she had to start over after she and her fiance' split up, but she moved out in 10 months. Plus, she had no beer or wine bottles to hide.

Actually, this board qualifies as a guilty pleasure, too. Life can be so mundane if you don't spice it up, and this board can be pretty interesting.

Presumably from BOTH of their bottles.
We think she may have stopped drinking. She hasn't set her house on fire for awhile.

Guilty pleasure is a food thing for me as well. Favorite would either be a plate of pasta or a pot of matzoh ball soup with chicken, noodles, celery, carrots and onions. Wait, you walked the dog nekkid? Nope, in my jammies. In my defense, only 4 houses on the road. Neighbors across the street were at work, next door neighbors out of town.

Entemanns chocolate fudge cake and Chunky Monkey ice cream while watching Survivor. That's what's on tap for tonight.

I like to hit up Trader Joes, cheese, wine, some random veggie meal, Indian Food, ice cream, and chocolate. Then I go home and transform into a Groomosaurus Rex (hair dye, pedicure, nails, face mask, epilating, etc...) and I watch terrible, or so snooty my SO can't stand it TV.

Shoot, I walk around my neighborhood in my pj pants all the time. When my friend who lives 4 buildings down goes out of town I take care of her cat and he needs medicine at 7AM and 7PM. If it is a weekend I regularly get up and walk down to her place in my pj pants. No sense in getting dressed if I might end up back in bed or being lazy on the sofa. Can't say I haven't done it at 7PM on occasion as well.

I'm getting such a kick out of reading everyone's "trolling the neighborhood in my jammies" stories. When I was a kid, I used to think it was really embarrassing and slightly bizarre that all the moms of the neighborhood (including mine, thus the teenage embarrassment factor) would still be in their bathrobes and slippers when they trolled down the driveway to pick up the newspaper or the mail. I swore I would never do that. Fast forward 40 years - not only do I do it, I don't even bother with a bathrobe or other outer garment . . . I stroll down there in just my jammies. So much for never saying never . . . lol

Would that I could!!! She knows if I were actually out of town, she would be dog-sitting. And she has a key. If she thought no one was there, she'd probably come over and start poking around! LOL. I hope I'm joking, but I'm really not sure. It is also her freaking birthday while her son is away. Gah! Seriously people, Jewish MIL's are no joke. Maybe I should buy her "Boundaries" for her birthday?
LOL, too subtle. And with all the new testament references she wouldn't think it applied to her anyway.
I'm thinking of gifting mine The Verbally Abusive Relationship.
Jut in case anyone thought I was joking, she called me at work today (as per usual - you know, my job that pays half the bills on the house where her grandchildren live part-time is inconsequential), and told me about all the things we are doing that weekend! Did you know there was a local Oktoberfest that Saturday during the day?? And then we can go to dinner! And there's a play on Friday! And Sunday brunch!!!

Unfortunately, being alone and not having anything to do are not the same. When it's just me, I tend to eat worse and have that extra glass of wine. But life goes on, other than that. Now, if I had days when I had nothing to do (which never occurs), I'd be binge-watching TV, I think. I never get to do that! That about covers it. I get to binge watch what *I* want to watch without disruptions. I took a day off last month when the kids were in school and that's exactly what I did. DH was at work so I didn't have to worry about his input either. It was glorious! Now I want to check my calendar and see when I can do that again. I binge watch TV with or without a man in my life. ! CL, BTW, thanks for the recommendation of Sherlock with Cumberbatch. Absolutely amazing. I want to own the season two DVD set. Fantastic behind the scenes segment(finally!)

I watch movies - usually after pouring a drink and making some popcorn or an ice-cream sundae - or grabbing some cupcakes.
I don't do it with the junk food often, but that's my guilty pleasure.
When I want a real guilty pleasure, I cook seafood.

FWIW, I have been unsupervised for about 11 years!
This is not a good thing. Today I spent EBT money like I was (almost) still working my 2003 pharma job and dropped some CC money because I needed to go far away to pickup the cheap shelving the Christmas Shop had in their flyer a few weeks ago.
The good/bad thing is it was located next to a store known for their athletic wear. Oh, cool athletic wear how I missed you... I am now the proud owner of a gorgeous blue & purple fleece pullover. Although I could return it, I am justifying getting it as I still have a Patagonia fleece from over twenty years ago.

Entemanns chocolate fudge cake and Chunky Monkey ice cream while watching Survivor. That's what's on tap for tonight. The dessert of my childhood! I still have a hard time walking by anything from Entenmann's. Their chocolate iced and chocolate crumb donuts rock the universe!
