Haven't read the entire thread so sorry if these have already been mentioned: 1: That my kids would need more as teenagers then they needed me as babies. 2: That you can love your kids, but totally understand why some animals eat their young at the same time. 3: That other parents are totally ok with allowing their teens to drink, smoke, etc. 4: That my boys haven't stopped touching their penis since the day they discovered it. 5: That my husband is a total pansy when it comes to parenting the girls, but a drill sergent when dealing with the boys. Apparently girls will break if you yell at them. 6: That they can eat soooo much constantly. 7: That every day I am surprised that they can still surprise me. except for the eating. My kids never want to eat. Their bodies do not seem to feel hunger.

My kids are tiny too, but they eat everything in sight. I kind of don't like them for that. I used to be like that but after I hit 33....it was harder to lose the weight.

How much luck is a part of raising those tiny babies to happy, healthy productive members of society. Yea there is plenty of hard work but without some lucky breaks along the way they might not have survived into adulthood. You all will remember moments like these looking back

I am still shocked at how BIG my youngest (i.e. my baby) is. When he is home from college it is almost intimidating having this large kid in my house. He is now over 6'3" (he is only 18 and may still be growing some) and says he lost some weight (gained muscle) and is 205 lbs.
He was home for a visit last weekend, I had to reach way up to give him a good-bye hug (I am 5'10").
Seems like yesterday he was just coming home from the hospital.
