I have had spring fever now for weeks and I live in Florida. I was thinking those of you up North really must have it. I bought flowery throw pillows for our family room, DH bought Geraniums for our outdoor urns and pots outside and I found a pink lacy jacket thing to wear out to dinner Saturday night.
Do you have spring fever yet? What do you do to make it feel like spring? It's my favorite season. Is it yours or do you prefer fall?

I have spring fever but its freaking 34 outside. I like to get out of the house, it's too stuffy in here during the winter. I like to go shopping for new spring/summer items for my wardrobe. I love my sweaters but I am very happy when it's time to put them away for the year. Soon the annual A/C fight will start. It will get to be 50 outside and DH will insist that he is "hot" and that we need to start running the central air. Suggesting he open the windows is met with a confused look.

Way too early for spring fever - we've just gotten some real winter weather . My little guy has been agitating to go ice skating. When we checked out a public rink nearby, it wasn't frozen yet. Hopefully the past days of near zero have done their job on it. We'll just have to do it quick - the weather is expected to warm up to near 50 next week. Spring fever hits me about March, after I'm finally sick of snow and can't wait for the dirty old snow to melt off completely and the mud to dry up.

Spring is my favorite season too, POM! But, we've got below zero temps, so I've been coping by reading thru the gardening catalogs that arrive in the mail I can't wait for my lilacs to start blooming! (Even 'tho that won't be until May.) AND, I love putting the garden in. DramaQ: YES to airing out the house. We need a little fresh air indoors.

Christmas is over...the lights are down, its dark cold and dreay outside. Yes Cabin Fever?spring fever sets in about January 2 each year. As to whether I prefer spring or fall.....well, Wyoming tends to have only 2 seasons consisting of up to 9 months of winter followed by 3 hot months of summer. We are most likely to get a couple days of something akin to fall weather so I will go with fall over spring.

Of course with spring comes tornado season. This Tuesday it's supposed to be around 70 degrees. And of course, severe thunderstorms are in the forecast.

9 months of winter! I'd die. This feeling also makes me want to shop. I don't even like shopping. But right now I'm wanting to buy everything! Busy, Lilacs are so gorgeous! I can't grow them here. I did find some scented candles I like and they were on sale. Yay! And I can't air my house out right now because of the pollen. It's awful for my allergies. Boo!

It's hard to get spring fever here since we don't really have winter.
It made an effort this year though. We had like 4 or 5 days there where it dropped below freezing overnight.

It is 19 and blowing snow here. The roads are slick, I'm ready for warm weather.
I do get to go to Texas in March but that seems like a long way away right now.

Growin up in New England, nothing heralded spring like the scent of lilacs. The smell of a freshly mown lawn heralds spring down here.

I didn't know Florida had seasons, you could call it spring if you would like. I look at all seasons here as pretty much a blur, some a bit warmer and some cooler. The only thing that tells me its winter is it rains a bit and the days get shorter. The days getting shorter is my biggest psychological barrier to get over.

Oh man, do I have it. I was starting to think that I handle winter better than I used to, this year I realize its just that we haven't had a real winter in a long time. Its snowing again today, and hasn't been out of the teens in a week, sigh.

POM & Tennesseer: If you ever shop at Yankee Candle, get their "Lilac Blossom" scent. Closest thing to real lilacs that I've found! And yes, I love the smell of fresh-cut grass too!

Tennesseer - I think you're on to something. Our landscaper came today and that fresh cut grass smell is really strong. Plus I miss the day light hours being longer. Sure I could get up earlier but why would I want to do that? We do have seasons. More than most of you. We have Spring, Summer, Fall, Love Bug, Rainy, and Hurricane seasons.

I have "I want the weather I don't have" fever. If it's cold, I want summer. If it's warm, I want winter. I enjoy all 2 weeks of spring and fall.

I will look for them. The ones I just bought are Jasmine scent. They are on our bar in the kitchen and they smell so good! I'll have to get the Lilac Yankee Candles too. Anybody know if they are on sale and where?

And I just figured out why I keep "liking" myself. I go to edit and my screen jumps right when I click and I just liked CL's post when I meant to quote her. No, I'm not MU!

Busymom-if you are ever in the neighborhood of Deerfield, Massachusetts, stop by the Yankee Candle 'big ass' store right off I-91. I grew up south of there (Springfield) and the last time I was up there in 2006, I stopped by the store and bought about 60 or so small votive candles of various scents. It's a regular tourist stop (buses galore) and you can get 'seconds' there too. I will have to look for the lilac blossom candle. Thanks for the recommendation. Where I grew up we had a number of lilac bushes and with them in full bloom along with freshly washed laundry hanging outside, it all smelled great as a young kid playing in the backyard.

It hasn't been in the double digits here all week, plus we got 3 inches of snow today. I am so ready for spring! Or at least some weather in the 20s/30s!
It doesn't help that last week I was in Disney World and it was 85º there the entire time!

Steph, so you were teased! That is hard going from that to those temps! We are in the mid-70's now and it should be in the 80's again soon. I'm so glad because our highs were in the mid-60's - which is freezing to me! Tenn - 36 days! I'm changing my clocks now. Do you think DH will notice?

Wait a week to change the clock. Just think of yourself as living in the Atlantic time zone and not Eastern time zone.

I'm in the mood for spring, so yesterday I bought myself a big bunch of red and white tulips. Never mind that it's been hovering around minus 30 for the last week, I have frostbite, and no hot water because the pipes has frozen solid. I'm in a springlike mood, dammit! Who has seen my other wool sweater? The two I'm wearing are not enough.

It has been low 70's here for days. It is supposed to go up to mid 70's next week. Freaky weather for January. Then, we'll get cold weather again. It is throwing plants into confusion, and they are beginning to bloom early. It could cause damage to plants if we get another freeze.

I don't have spring fever yet because I know I still have to deal with February, which bites in NJ. Last year, we had an 80 degree day in March, which pushed me right into beach fever.

No, no chance at all. It's minus 22 tonight without the wind chill. Maybe by Wednesday, if they don't burst in the meantime.
