In general, I tend to dress pretty conservatively. I am not nearly as well endowed as Carl's wife, but I'm not small chested either. I never have any cleavage showing at work. I always wear a tank top under anything lower cut. I just don't feel it's appropriate, and I would feel uncomfortable.

I have a friend that gets accused of showing too much cleavage as well. It frustrates her. Most fashionable clothing is made for women with no bust so when she puts in on she has cleavage. I've been shopping with her. It's a fact. So she either shows some cleavage, dresses like Amy from the Big Bang Theory or spends way more money on her wardrobe. She shows the cleavage. She is not being indecent by any stretch of the imagination (no pun intended) DD has a difficult time with this as well. We also have very high set boobs, the straps of most bras do not adjust to the correct level, slinging things too low. DD is a D/DD depending on brand, set very high up. Most tops show quit a bit of cleavage on her. She will wear the same clothes as her friends to school, but she'll get in trouble and they won't. She has a couple of things to layer under her shirts now, but it is disappointing to her that she can't wear the same clothes..... The problem with the bra straps could be fixed in 5 minutes with a needle and thread, and they do have those things that hook on bra straps to look like a camisole without adding the bulk.

My dad used to complain about how I dressed as a teenager, saying I was showing too much. His issue though was that I wasn't hiding my shape not so much that I was showing off too much cleavage. As a pretty busty gal, even after a reduction, it can be hard to find clothes that fit right. However, camisoles fix a lot of those issues plus give you more variety. There's ways around showing too much skin but not much you can do to totally hide them!

What a bitchy thing to say. Yeah, she was old, envious and retired now. Wow, I'm old and envious, but I wouldn't say a thing like that to someone. I would tell them their blouse was unbuttoned.... Although, once at an office that I worked in, I "helped" a co-worker by letting her know that her blouse was unbuttoned by about three buttons and that the top of her bra was showing. She was wearing "them" with a suit. She got all PISSED OfF and informed me that she meant to wear her blouse that way and her bra was lacy and it was *supposed* to show. That was the last time I made the mistake of "helping" her. After that, I wouldn't have told her if her hair was on fire. She never got promoted, either.

Both my DD’s are VERY well endowed (NOT my side of the gene pool-I have a VERY close relationship w/ I.E. Dupont). Both are teachers: 3rd grade/high school. Neither ever dresses for work to show cleavage. Both ONLY wear separates to get the best fit.

You do what you have to do. I used to wish I was cursed with big boobs until I met some women who actually were. Now I'm greatful for "small" favors!

I have a friend who has this difficulty. Even after reduction surgery, she is quite large. She is also quite petite at only 4'11" which makes it very difficult to find anything that doesn't show cleavage for work.
She has tried the clip on faux camisole things advertised on TV. They didn't work because they are not made to clip on to the larger bra straps on the bras for plus size or well-endowed women. How ironic e that they don't fit for the women who need it the most.

I was IBTC for a long time. When I gained a little weight, my knockers got considerably more noticable - although still small by most standards. And every time I lose 5 pounds, my butt stays the same size, but I drop a cup. So, I haven't had much motivation to lose weight.

Debbie Allen, from Fame, is on Ricki Lake showing cleavage. She shouldn't be. It is not attractive at all. Old saggy boobs should be covered up. Maybe bring them out for the right audience, but for the most part button up. That's my opinion. Wait! You're a guy and you watch Ricki Lake? And you watched Fame? Something's definitely wrong with this picture. At least you noticed the cleavage. ;D

Back up the truck...
Your wife has 42DDDs, and you care about...... anything else in the world?!??!?!? Anytime any crazy family drama, idiots at work not saving money or giving your cashiers guff, job search difficulties, or anything came up, I'd just be repeating to myself "42DDDs".
OK in all seriousness, I do have some sympathy for what successful women who are also good looking probably go through. I'm sure its very frustrating and somewhat demeaning to deal with people assuming she slept her way to the top.
And yes, men are visual, and yes, they can turn anything into something lascivious with little effort. This was proven by Joey, regarding "Grandma's chicken salad".
ETA: though there are also plenty who turn their looks to their advantage. For some, its like shooting fish in a barrel.

Yeah, I get that. They don't take into account a LOT of people's proportions when designing bras. Just be glad that your problem with bras is incredibly easy to fix. Not everyone is so lucky.
Good gracious, that is a special kind of stupid. Fixable with a needle and thread, but at that point, you might as well just make your own.

LOL, I think the awesomeness of the triple-Ds depends on the body to which they're attached... 42DDD-28-42 is a little different from 42DDD-60-72

I'm sure she is the good set. And this revelation really puts something else into perspective. Remember he said she hated the kind of BC pills that made them even bigger, but he loved it?
Do I need to design a smoothie for Mrs C? Perhaps tropical pineapple with Haitian rum, served in a Mikasa crystal glass and decorated with two hollowed out coconut shells?

You guys are too much. She hates them because now her back pains have gotten worse and her bras are leaving marks on her shoulders, like digging into her skin during the day.
She has been training for a 5k and just for a normal run for them to stay in place she needs to wear two bras: regular bra and sport bra.
Me, I like them but I understand about the back pain. Her cousin that got them done 2-3 years ago seems really happy with her decision, so happy that for the first year unless she was going to work she would not wear a bra. Something that she wouldn't get away with before and same with my wife.

It wasn't enough to just tell us about them, but now we get to imagine them "while jogging". C'MON!

Carl: If they are causing back pain and the shoulder straps are leaving marks that last for a long time, she will most likely meet the requirements for a medically necessary breast reduction that would be covered by insurance. I know she wants to have kids and breast feed, but pregnancy won't make the back problems any better, nor will trying to carry around an infant. And if she hates the BC that makes them bigger, not certain she will be happy about what lactating does for them...
Just a note that while breast feeding is great for babies, a happy, healthy mom is even more important to long term child welfare.

VS used to make some bras with wider shoulder straps. Excellent for large breasts and they were pretty. Supported better and did not leave marks on shoulders. Also look at SOMA.

I'm glad to see you guys found something to put in the space where they messed up the corner cabinet. I love it! I'm also glad to see the paper towels got unpacked!
Thats a nice lineup of rum, and would definitely make a good Mrs C smoothie.
I'm sure in Boston there is no shortage of good tailors, though they may be a bit expensive. Maybe while she looks for a job, Mrs. C can spend time learning how to make alterations? Then she won't have the "off the rack" problem (off the rack in multiple senses, heh heh).

Nice, but not quite the pictures I was hoping for, given the recent subject matter.
I guess the only rack of Mrs. C's I'll be seeing is mounted on the wall there...
