I don't find it that hard to understand you guys, most of the time. Should I be worried? Only if the voices tell you to be worried. My voices are being awfully quiet right now. Almost... too quiet.

::Thyme, stay around, you're kinda snarky and mean, but really funny, and I appreciate that in a poster.:: Kinda?? *snort* I like Thyme, she has made me laugh on more than one occassion...but credit where credit is due: she's more than kinda snarky and mean. ::And if someone calls you a name, call them one back. No biggie.:: Great advice! Except me. Don't call me names. You've been warned.

Hey, I just became a "senior member". I don't care for it. Didn't we have a talk about this yesterday? I thought something was going to be done. I demand this be rectified!

Apparantly not. Apparantly this is high intellectual stuff, and anyone who doesn't get it is just stupid. Unless "Obtuse" is defined differently on EE than everywhere else, and I'm suppose to know that. Or, maybe we're just stupid...........<<shrugs>> OK, I find you hilarious. Snarky and bitchy and mean, but hilarious. PM me if you have a question about what something means and I won't call you a name unless you call me one first.

Meh. After I consume the 12 cheesecakes I now have a craving for after reading that damn "flavor" thread, there won't be room for you anyway.

Really? Stabby is hard to get??? You know that feeling of intense irritation you get when someone is one your very last nerve and you want to poke them with something sharp??? THAT'S stabby. That completely describes how I feel about my current project today. It's painful, messy and the stuff given me is not in compliance with the guidelines and somehow I'm supposed to make it work. My deadline is Friday afternoon and I'm not sure I'm going to make it.

Completely off topic. I always say that one day I want to be able to honestly answer the question "how do you motivate your staff?" with "with a sharp stick". How do you think that would go over in an interview?

How do you think that would go over in an interview? Well - if you get an answer back of "Does the stick include a J'ing" - you might have found the perfect job!

I don't even know how to respond.
Thanks for the actual explanation, Daphne.

Someone, somewhere on this board (I can't remember who now - it just seems like it's been around since we moved over) found the spanking smiley icon and The J started using it after he became Mod.
He used it far and wide, all of the time, so much to the point that it's lost it's effectiveness as a threat and the posters now beg for it as a reward.
So - in EE, instead of asking for a spanking, the 'bad' girls ask for a J'ing.

I actually didn't know what the deal was with J'ing really. Are there any other phrases you guys can think of that need explaining? Sadly, they all seem pretty silly when they get explained but generally started out amusing in their context. Really. I swear.

Umm....let see - I could probably think of lots, but then you went and asked, so now I'm totally blank.
