LMAO, good one. Oh btw, sun came out and it stopped snowing but still freezing My snow had stopped when I left the house at 7:20 this morning. And I can't see the sun from where I sit. There are windows, but too many buildings. I'll just have to take your word for it. In another month or so, I may actually get to see the sun for real on weekdays.

Okay.. I haven't read through all of the responses.. but given the choices, the woman who gives up her own independence, financial security and identity is NOT smart at all. What happens if she finds herself single at some point in the future? Will she have any marketable job skills? She will have missed years of earning and experience. Just to be clear... those of us who quit working have NOT given up any of those things. We have our own money, have abilities to work again if we so chose and I'm far more independent than those of you that work because I'm FREE, FREE, FREE!! Oh, and I still get job offers from past companies who can't find reliable people. Computer skills always change and always have to be relearned. So bite me. ;D And I'm smarter and luckier. Neener, neener!! <<grabs MM's booze and runs>>

I have two jobs, and it's a seven-day-a-week deal, though one of them is freelance. But I still have to meet deadlines for most of the sites I write for, so I don't have complete freedom over when I write. Put the research for the freelance on top of that, plus workouts and household stuff, and you understand why my days are normally 14 hours long, every day. Full disclosure here: I do not have children. I understand tired, though. But I want to turn freelance into full-time, so I have to keep thinking about what's next, and why I do this to the point of not wanting to, sometimes. If you cannot reschedule or redistribute some of the tasks you do, then you have to reduce the number. Either don't do them every day, or don't do them at all. And stop saying yes when people ask you to do stuff. It's always the busy people who are requested for duty, because they seem to be able to get it all done. But the word "No" works if you use it often enough and with enough force. I don't have children either. I would just like more free time where I could watch television or read and relax. My work responsibilities consume much of my "awake" time. I can understand leaving work because you have children or an elderly parent to care for. Or you want to concentrate on volunteer work. But to become financially dependent on someone because you want to watch more TV? Wow. I only work a 35-hour week so I get to watch plenty of television at night. You're not missing much.

<< throws virgin princess to distract the dragon and takes off for her secret hideout >> Oh good. We're all safe. I rarely watch TV. And only at night do I even turn it on for the news and a favorite show or 3. When DH was out of town the TV would not be on for days. But he's a TV junkie. <exalts Bis>>

I am glad that someone appreciates how hard it was to find one. Heck, even England can't find one anymore.

Oh goody, this thread again. It's one of my favorites. Can we do breast feeding vs formula next? Pretty please. I just love listening to a bunch of bitter women put down each others choices.
To answer your question, my wife doesn't work and she's smarter than me, so I'm going with 2.

Oh my god, that reminds me. I saw the biggest (as in muscular not a fatty) woman the other day. She was easily the strongest looking woman I've ever seen in person. Big pacific islander looking chick, and I mean big! Easily 6'2", with really broad shoulders. Maybe it was a really well done sex change, but she didn't have an adams apple and she had non fake looking boobs. I think she was just a huge woman.
If she'd been a man everyone would assume she played at least high school and probably some college football.

Just to be clear, one does not have to be bitter to think someone else is stupid.

I just did . . . . I started with a question: Did you get back more than you paid in? IF you did, there is something effed up . . . . . My God Bless you with a lifetime of happiness. Love you. Here's your question: " Re: How much are you getting back or sending in? « Reply #38 Yesterday at 9:30am » -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Was the $3500 more than you paid in? If it was, there is something effed up. That means you got back what the rest of us paid in. When is that okay? I would rather my hard earned money go towards highways, police, military, etc." Sounds like you're insinuating I get the EITC, which I can assure you is not the case.

I really need to practice taking pictures with my phone so I can do it somewhat unobtrusively. I never use the camera thing so it's WAY too obvious when I try.

You must practice the sneaky photo techniques Dark. I need to take the sound off mine so no one will know when I'm taking their picture.

I keep the sound off on my phone most of the time. It's in my front pocket, so I notice it more when it's on vibrate. It also gives me something to do when I'm bored at work. I can just keep calling my cell from my office phone.
