We only buy their tomato soup (nostalgia, primarily).. oh and Dark likes the chicken with white and wild rice, but at some point I discovered that homemade soup was insanely easy and have been making my own ever since.

I stopped buying most of their soups once they messed with their recipes a couple of years ago. Some "sea salt" something or other nonsense. I previously used to like many of their soups. Now they all taste like metal or something gross.

Just about the only one I still buy sometimes is the Chunky Chicken and Dumplings. That's still good.

the "Healthy Request" chicken noodle is my go-to for keeping in my desk drawer at work, for those days that I don't pack a lunch for whatever reason and the weather sucks too badly to head out to buy something.

That and changing their tomato soup. It's not as good and that's what I used to always want when I was sick. With a grilled cheese sandwich.

We used to have some sort of Campbell's soup-based casserole for dinner once a week growing up. Now, I'll make a nostalgia dinner about once a year.

Other than their magical casserole-binding properties, their soup just isn't that good.

I made it last thanksgiving with beans from our garden I had frozen. It was VILE!!! You need canned mushy beans for it.

Not so much. The last couple times I ate it, but it wasn't very good. I think it still tastes the same, I'm just finally outgrowing my taste for processed salt flavored stuff. The low sodium one is super bland, and the regular one just tastes like sea water with chewy bits floating in it.

Oh, and regarding the OP. If Campbells would start making decent soup they wouldn't be closing plants right now. The only flavor profile they go for is MSG, and that's only going to take you so far. Plus the little old church ladies that make hot dishes out of cream of crap soup 5 nights a week are dying off. They need to start making something more hip to appeal to younger folks. Progresso seems to be doing fine. Copy them.

I can't believe how much Campbell's soup I ate as a kid. I couldn't tell you how many cans of Chicken and Stars I ate - I can't stand it now ! I either eat Progresso or the local store brand organic soup (they have yummy tomato soup). Still nothing better to me than tomato soup and a grilled cheese especially when it is cold outside. Well, semi-cold outside during that 3 weeks of semi-winter we get here in January.

We ate tons of Campbells as kids too. I love tomato & grilled cheese too. Just not canned tomato anymore. I still eat Chef Boyardee.
