I liked her too... I thought she'd been with WIR for a while... I hate that she deleted her account!
But everyone needs to realize that while some people are meaner here than IRL (I really hope to God they're not this mean IRL...) it's just words. And the meanies need to realize that there is an actual person with feelings attached on the other end of a keyboard somewhere.

Rose, I don't believe people go out of their way to be "meanies" here. There are some topics that get passionate & sensitive, but in life you need to have tough skin. I feel bad she is gone right now, but if you can't handle the interaction and different view points, maybe this is not the place to be.

That's exactly what happened. The topic was controversial and sensitive and bound to get a bit heated, so you have to either grow a thick skin and be open to the fact that some people's viewpoints might be counter to your own, or avoid the discussion.

i feel bad that SHE felt so bad, because i thought she was a nice and decent person and enjoyed having her here.

That is unfortunate that people have to turn to personal attacks. I honestly do not know all that happened since I was gone most of the day. I really liked Suze. I have different opinions than she does, but that is ok with me. If we all believed the same, then the world would be boring. I just try to avoid the threads and topics that I feel could get too nasty.
I hope she takes a little break and then comes back. I know that there are several threads and posters that would welcome her.

She still posts (as a guest, I think) on one of the WIR Racer threads. Of all the reasons to leave a message board, disagreeing with what is said would not be my reason. I have a right to my point of view, as does everyone else. If I want to speak up, I do so with at least some measure of respect and politeness (and proper emoticons). If the thread is too hot for me, I just don't go there. I have to decide if it's worth it to me to get involved sometimes, or still respect you guys in the morning.  |

I Liked Suze, and I'm sorry she was run off. She was a good poster.
