Cheesy, your salad sounds yummy (except the celery ), hope it was great! I couldn't be bothered to chop the heads of lettuce in my crisper, so I am working on a risotto. I'm surfing the board in between adding stock and stirring. my risotto tonight is spinach/cremini mushroom with garlic and onion. oh, and while I cook I'm picking at some "short cut" chicken that I bought for some reason and never opened. need to use it this week, it will probably end up on a pizza in a few days.

Chicken sandwich on an English muffin. Chicken was leftover rotisserie chicken I bought at Sam's last week. Carrots and celery sticks. Lemon jello (I've been on a HUGE jello kick the last couple weeks).

I have decided to make apple and sage pork chops for dinner tonight. I haven't made this before and I hope I like the recipe. If it turns out, you have to share! ;D It was ok but nothing spectacular.

*sigh*... pizza. The pizza thread made me weak and I bought a DiGiorno when grocery shopping. I know better than to shop hungry!

I made something with a Portuguese flair. Chorizo, clams, pan fried potatoes, pork shoulder boiled in broth and aromatics, some sturdy greens, fresh oregano, sweet onion and hot red pepper. Served with the broth. Add a herb loaf, steamed asparagus, and mango and pineapple chunks on cottage cheese.
Served with Mondavi's Fume Blanc.
Dayum, I love to eat good food.

The only "cooking" DH does is grilling whatever meat or chicken that I buy, prep and clean up afterwards. Same here.. except I have to get the grill going and then make sure DH doesn't forget that he's grilling... <sigh> It'd just be easier if I did it myself.

I am glad someone posted this (thanks, Cheesey). I called home and asked DH to take the turkey meatballs and tomato sauce I made over the weekend out of the freezer. He will have some of that with cheese ravioli. I will skip the ravioli and have a salad.
I actually enjoy these threads; I cook every day, but I still like new ideas.

I have beef stroganoff in the crock pot. I don't usually use a crock pot, but it is a Cooking Light recipe and I have faith that it won't turn into a pot of brown mush like most other crock pot food.

<<Nancy pictures MM the French maid, MM's DH and the J>> I don't think a cliche is the right word to describe that situation, just sayin'.
