ok, the field is set now. i don't expect any more late entries.
we have Perry, Romney on the inside track and Paul and Cain on the outside track.
anyone want to take a shot at ranking them?
i think Romney is going to win this thing.
Romney Perry Cain Paul
Cain could possible challenge Romney, depending on how Romney holds up, but Romney has all the cards: the organization, the campaigning experience, and about 1/6 of the GOP voters that would ride down the river Styx with him.

Didn't I see Cain and Romney tied, and both of them ahead of Perry?

I did not expect Palin to run. My pick is guess is Cain or Romney will be the Republican winner. Personally I like Cain. He is the most straight talking of them all. I know if he gets the nod the press will try to dig any dirty and in my guess will have to manufacture some. he can beat Obama easily. He is a person who understands business and job creation. And he doesn't waffle.

No kidding. Cain was a lousy choice but she cost them the election.

Didn't I see Cain and Romney tied, and both of them ahead of Perry? dunno. but i go by the RCP numbers, that show Romney -4.5%, and Cain in 3rd. UPDATE: Cain has got 17% in his last (4) polls. but Romney lead in 3/4 of them. so YES! Romney is back on top, as i predicted earlier.....

Maybe a Romney/Cain ticket??? that would make an interesting ticket. but i just heard Cain make a conspiracy theory statement to the WSJ that i found curiously out of touch.

I was listening to Levin this afternoon on the way home from work ... he had an ongoing group of callers lamenting Palin's decision not to run ... it makes me realize just how goofy is the cracker base of the repubs ... that any would think that she is presidential material

I also can entertain the idea of Romney / Cain. The repubs had no compunction about using someone like Palin for the 2nd spot, even though she would have been a joke if she assumed the role of president. So why would one be surprised if the repubs, for pandering purposes, once again selected someone unqualified for the role of VP

Thanks, dj. for saving me the trouble. I'll tell people you said it. i didn't say very much. only that i think Obama is a weak candidate, and there seems to be a feeling on the GOP side that they can run anyone and beat him. i think they are sorely mistaken. they are in for a fight, and Romney is the only one prepared for it.

I prefer Cain to Romney. I would be pleased to get either one. I am afraid that it's a dead heat for the victory. Our mighty leader still has plenty oof people drunk on the kool-aid and he expects to have a billion dollar warchest. One can buy a lot of votes with a billion dollars.

My answer would be along the lines of "if you have to ask"

The thing I like about Cain is you ask him a question and he gives you a straight answer. You may not like the answer but you know where he stands. I an deal with that. Plus he has a business prospective which is ahead of all the others.

I pick a Romney/Cain ticket... ;D Personally, I don't care how much money Obama has scammed from his Socalist elite cronies, but it's the people that count at the polls. Let's hope the next election will be fair and square. as this guy's background is part of the Chicago machine, which is "dirty politics" at it's finest, and believe me, it's going to get downright dirty. Here ya go pappy...

Didn't I see Cain and Romney tied, and both of them ahead of Perry? Yep, but that was only a small number of people. I think Perry will drop though and Ron Paul wants to impeach Obama for not getting the approval of Congress to drop drones on Libya. Ron Paul may be cracking under pressure.
