We have a 42" flat screen in the living room & 32" flat screen in the bedroom. (Both Dynex from Best Buy bought on sale). We have the $12/mo cable & Netflix and it doesn't cost any extra for multiple TVs.

I'm jealous of people with TVs in the bedroom. I really want one there but wife won't let me. She has something against TVs in the bedroom I guess. We have 2 downstairs and I have a TV card in the computer that gets all the cable stations. I read a study that said that people without a TV in the bedroom have more sex. I tried that arguement with DH. We still have a TV in the bedroom.

We have Four. We will eventually have Five or Six.
We had Five, but DH decided that he wanted his parents to have a new TV. He told me he was going to give them the 42" Flat screen from our bedroom B/C "We never use it anyways". I said no it was used and it would not be appreciated, besides it is supposed to go in the office when it is done (s/b done in the next 2-3 weeks). So he gave them the 32" Sony Bravia we still had in the box along with the articulating arm and a $200 stand for the TV.
We have a 52"? Plasma in the living room/family room. The kids each have a 32" flatscreen hung on the walls in their bedrooms. We have cable in every room we have a TV. DH did have to pull a few wires because the Master Bedroom connection was in the wrong place. The kids room and the Living room connections were installed by the builder. We have Time warner and we have Cable wherever we have a connection.

We have four - a 46" flat panel LED in the LR, and 27" tube type TV's in the bedrooms. DH has one in his "man room" so he can watch TV while repairing computers which he does as a side business, I have one in the "girl room" so I can get away from him, and one in our bedroom.
I want to get two more flat panel ones for the bedrooms since the old tube type ones are really bulky and take up so much space. But there's nothing wrong with them so it'll be a while longer before we replace them.

We have 3 TVs. We only have one cable box, the other two hook-ups are free. We have a projector outside so we can watch movies in the pool or on the patio. We can hook that up to the TV or to the DVD player - which also streams netflix, but, we have to either re-route one of our TVs or split the other one, so we can't watch 3 different things inside and a 4th thing outside. We also have a lap-top which can stream a lot of stuff. My daughter has figured out how to stream from Disney, so that has become a defacto 4th TV. Our 2 desktop computers could stream also, but those two and one TV are in the same room - so I can envision all of them going at once.
Do I count the DVD player in the car or the portable DVD player? They aren't TV.
We like to watch stuff.

I'd rather have one for sleep. I fall asleep watching TV or movies quite often but by the time I get upstairs and into bed I'm wide awake. God I hate that.

I have 7 tv's, but only 3 are hooked up & used. DH just used to collect stuff & free TVs are easy to come by & pretty much worthless, only 2 of the tvs were purchased.
1 47" LED in living room - it swivels & can be seen in the dining room & kitchen as well. 1 32" 12 yr old tv in my bedroom 1 27" tv in the basement that was free
I don't have cable or satellite, they are just all hooked up to stream stuff over the internet.

I think I have the smallest tv's. The main one is 32". The other two are 20". They are more than big enough for me. The rooms aren't so big that you are that far from them. Any bigger and I would feel like I was sitting in the front row at the movie theatre.

2, $13 basic cable, SO is the couch potato, but we both tend to watch shows/movies on the computer. I prefer going no TV in our next home.
1 32" CRT in the living room, 22 years old, inherited from my parents. 1 27" Flat CRT in the bedroom, 9 years old. Impulse buy b/c it was a good deal. Never use it. Sole purpose is it visually completes the room. Not worth the hassle of getting rid of.

I just have 1, an old-school tube tv in the living room. Would love a tv in the bedroom but DH is against it. I make up for my lack of tvs with a surplus of other electronics-I have a laptop, an ipod, a smartphone, and a kindle. All of these have red covers, because at some point I decided that electronics should be red lol.

Two. One big screen for the living room. One battery powered portable in case a hurricane hits and we need something to watch without power. Our LCD TV pulls too much power for our generator, as we found out. LCD's use many more watts than the old tube TV's. Also most generators have unstable peaks in power supply that can damage or destroy a big screen TV.

Used to have 8 hooked up (w/cable) until last year.....kitchens, guest rooms, etc., half weren't being used, so buh-bye....

We have one...a 32" flat screen that I let DH sucker me into buying when we got our mattress two years ago. It's not too bad - does the trick but given another opportunity, I would have saved the money and bought a bigger/better quality one. Next time.
Actually - we have another one in the garage that is an old, bulky tube TV - works fine and I'm trying to find someone to take it off my hands. It'd be perfect for a gaming TV, "mantown," garage, spare bedroom, etc. That is what we took out of the LR when we FINALLY hooked up the flat screen.

I'd rather have one for sleep. I fall asleep watching TV or movies quite often but by the time I get upstairs and into bed I'm wide awake. God I hate that. Exactly why I refuse to have a TV in the bedroom: I would then have both the TV and DBF's snoring keeping me awake!!! And if I were to try to get him to turn it off, he'd wake up just long enough to tell me he's NOT asleep, he's watching with his eyes closed. Same way he "reads" in bed with his eyes closed, book resting on his face, and snoring the whole time. Any of this sound familiar, Dr Pig? Could this help explain some of your wife's aversion to a TV in the bedroom? I have 2 -- one in the living area downstairs, one in the extra "bedroom" upstairs. The latter is a ~20 inch LCD I bought a couple years ago, since I'm supposed to be working up there to clean that room up and be able to work on projects, read in the winter (it's the warmest room and gets the most light), and have guests stay in it. But I've not done much work up there and neither the room nor the TV get used much. The one in the living room is a 27" regular tube TV, about 9 years old. When it dies, I doubt I'll replace it. Both are hooked up to broadcast cable (about $15/month) -- I live in a little valley in the middle of town that gets no reception via antenna.

No that doesn't ring a bell. I don't snore nor do I read in bed. Also, if I'm intending on sleeping with a TV I turn it off right before I fall asleep.

I use the sleep feature. Set if for 45 minutes and by then I'm asleep.

I read somewhere that it actually messes up your sleep if you routinely sleep with the TV on. Like you're really not sleeping as much as you think you are. To unwind before bed we're really supposed to have ALL electronic entertainment off and we should be reading a book or taking a warm bath/shower. I fully admit I don't do it. Growing up, we had like 6-7 TVs in the house - including the kitchen! After I moved out, I downsized heavily when it came to TV. I lived without cable for a year - before Hulu! My mom is still TV crazy - if there's a TV in the room she can't not have it on. She used to stay in our guest bedroom when she visited but now she stays at hotels because she can't deal with us not having cable upstairs. Apparently being able to watch TV in bed for less than 24 hours is worth $100/night.

When my 2 oldest are at college, we have 5 TVs (3 people). If college kids bring theirs home, its 7 TVs (5 people).
I'll admit that one of the TVs is in the bathroom. When we added a large master suite to our house with a large bathroom and Jacuzzi tub for 2, we put in a small TV (probably only 13" old style) on the wall that you can watch in the jacuzzi. We usually relax in the evening in the Jacuzzi and watch TV. Can't really follow anything too intense on the TV, but sometimes just have baseball games or other mindless shows.
Also have one in the kitchen/breakfast room. Mainly I just listen to the local news while cooking dinner.

We have two, a 55" LED flat screen and a 32" flat screen.
The living room and what is meant to be the dining room are connected by large double doors, so it's essentially open space. It didn't start out this way, but it has evolved that the larger TV is in the living room and the smaller (gaming/exercise video) TV is in the dining room. Both on the same wall, so there is a sofa in each room from which you can see both TVs. It doesn't look quite as bizarre as it sounds.
Kid's aren't allowed TV's in their bedrooms. The gaming TV was meant to be mine for watching baseball in my bedroom, but I never really did, so I took it out. It's about the third time in my adult life I've tried having a TV in the bedroom and I just don't like watching TV in bed. Except for in hotel rooms, where reality is suspended anyway.

I have 2. a 46" in my living room and a 32" in my bedroom. Nothing hooked up via cable. I have HDMI so I can hook up my laptop and watch blu-ray movies on either and/or play XBox on either.

46" in the family room and 32" in our bedroom. Both with HD boxes. We have a big and heavy 36" TV in our living room that our son uses for Disney movies.
