still don't think he will lose the Jewish vote- but it is less than 5% of the voting block. presumably he could make it up with the Muslim vote, which is approximately the same size.
I don't either but all of my Jewish buds are not big fans of Obama...It is not just the feuding with Netanyahu but his issues with small business owners since most own or operate a small business out here in the Bay Area.. I think to assume the Jews will vote for a democrat for president may not be accurate anymore...That may have been true years ago but not today if you check their voting in Florida and New York lately..
But the Muslims voting for Obama?? I think that is a slam dunk IMHO
Because he seems to have a strong relationship with the Muslim Communities ..

I am into "Green" technology in the auto industry with my interest in lithium batteries. Obama has shown some interest in this new tech but with the 2011 budget still being negotiated it is hard to assess if the government will be more involved or not.

Ouch, PI!! You are going green in this drill baby drill time when we NEED those jobs back?? That's tough, but I do think most people support using what we have as well as developing and using new things.. at the same time.

Meaningless rubber stamped spin. Bla bla bla, lower taxes and deregulate ... keep kissing korporate ass, and if that doesn't work, kiss it some more. The Bush tax cuts had how long to work now?
If only vague sloganeering, buzzwords, and catchphrases could solve problems...
Get heavily into debt and make this a nation of hamburger stands?
Shuffling money around doesn't really create jobs.

Yea but we are a few years away from Electric Cars being more popular. But, I placed a heavy bet that it will happen when electric batteries are cheaper, mileage is increased, and charging stations are more accessible

Yea but we are a few years away from Electric Cars being more popular. But, I placed a heavy bet that it will happen when electric batteries are cheaper, mileage is increased, and charging stations are more accessible I still don't see the EV as practical. Going off the Volt FAQ, the vehicle gets 35/40 mpg when the on board generator kicks in. We already have gas / diesel vehicles that get 37+- MPG without the added cost of electric motor and battery charge costs. Heck, the Early 90's Geo Metro and the mid 80's Civic CRX got in the low 40's/low 50's for city/highway MPG. The Ford ECOnetic gets around 65mpg but since the US is still unfriendly to the diesel market, Ford won't sell the car in the US. www.businessweek.com/magazine/content/08_37/b4099060491065.htmReferring to the volt, charging stations will be more of an issue for a traveler. With a range of 375-400 miles, that should be plenty for a great majority of commuters. The only real problems would arise when the car is used for weekend travel and you were away from home for several days. This is still not a major issue since you have the on board generator to run on when you cannot charge the vehicle from an outlet.
