I saw Obama signed the 911 Bill that was drawing so much heat the last few weeks. There are many who were in wholehearted support of it but does anyone know what's in it yet? How does the 4.2 billion dollars get spent and who spends it? Will it actually be used for it's supposed and intended purpose or be wasted?

If you consider how many people could actually be considered in on the bonanza (10,000 at the outside most) that gives you 400,000 each. Do you think there is even close to 10,000 people who were severely injured while at ground zero during the rescue operations and who haven't already been compensated in one way or another? This entire sham is laughable at best. They probably have ideas in mind where this money is going to be diverted to, there is just too much of it. Its priceless how they sell it "the great 911 heroes ect. ect." and if you oppose it you're dissing the "heroes" of 911. Sure there were some but you probably won't see them going for the cash. Just a bunch frauds will be, all of course at the taxpayers expense.

Since no one from the president on down has even mentioned any of the details about what's in this bill I would assume you are correct. It has always amazed me how even people like Jon Stewart would jump right on this band wagon just because of the title of the bill. These people in Washington are professional con artists and it would make us a better country if we started asking a few questions before throwing support at everything that sounds good.

That would be a good start Mr. rockon. There would be a long, long way to go after that I'm afraid. It is so blatant that it almost seems they are daring the public to do something. That could turn out not so well for them.

One of the problems it seems there is no structure or clear guidelines as to how the money will be used to get to those who truely need it. I hope it does not turn out to be a big financial boon doggle.

So can I conclude that no one here knows for sure what all is in this bill? I was at least hopeful that the posters who have been speaking in support of it would know what was in the bill.

Of course I want folks who were damaged in that incident who were there to clean up, involved with, compensated for health problems because of the natur of the beast so to speak.....however, it seemed the total amount..way over the top to me.

Well, one provision should have been that no lawyer fees could be paid from it directly or indirectly, but I suspect that the bill is a trial lawyers wet dream.
