In an interview with Fox News on Tuesday, Pawlenty defended his debate response, insisting his response Monday wasn't any different from his attack on Sunday. "I said essentially the same thing in [the debate] as I did Sunday morning, which is that President Obama used the Massachusetts health care plan as the blueprint, and that's why I dubbed it Obamneycare," he said. "I used that same term last night. So I don't understand what the kerfuffle's about. I said the same thing in both appearances." But his lackluster response to the "Obamneycare" question still prompted plenty of eye rolling among top GOP strategists, who have privately questioned for months whether Pawlenty is "too nice" to get aggressive on his GOP opponents or Obama. "Tim Pawlenty had a chance to get in the ring tonight with the heavyweight champion … (But) he refused to enter the ring," GOP ad man Alex Castellanos, a former Romney adviser, told Politico's Jonathan Martin. "It was like Lebron refusing to take the big shot (Sunday) night." Meanwhile, Jim Dyke, a former Bush strategist who had been working for Haley Barbour, took a shot at Pawlenty's decision to go bowling in New Hampshire on Sunday night instead of doing debate prep. "Pawlenty probably should stick to prep and skip the bowling for the next debate," he told Politico. Speaking to Fox, Pawlenty again pushed back on the perception that he's "too nice" or "too vanilla" to win the GOP nomination--though he also added that being "vanilla" isn't really that bad. "Vanilla is the best selling ice cream in the country for a reason," he said. "People know what they are going to get and they like it. It's steady, it's stable and it's seasoned. That's what the country needs. news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_theticket/20110614/ts_yblog_theticket/pawlenty-defends-debate-performance-as-republicans-question-his-willingness-to-take-on-romney

I saw no egg. I see media manipulation. What's his name tried to goad Pawlenty into fighting with what's his name. Pawlenty refused to play. Good for him.
He has the best plan and he's the only one brave enough to put one forward. He'll do great. You know why? Because he is steady and resolute. He doesn't let some reporter goad him saying what the reporter wants him to say. Manly man. We tend to forget what that is.

Respectfully have to disagree his name was highligted today on CBS Radio News for giving a lousy performance and they don't think he can ever recover.....
I didn't watch the great debate but am just your humble, unbiased messenger; Marsha... Pawlenty is a dud and is in big trouble right out of the gate in his own party...IMHO

He has no balls. That's his problem. He will make a good water boy for Romney, that's about it.

Oh yeah, the MSM had their talking point yesterday. They are saying Romney and Bachmann did well. They are PRAISING Bachmann. What does that tell you? The MSM handed us McCain, praised him to high heaven. And the minute he got the nomination they started in with the brass knuckles. They want to hand us a Romney/Bachmann ticket and then see what they do to those two. Plenty of fodder too.

The best they have against Pawlenty is that he is lackluster or boring or vanilla. That's not much because he is obviously braver than that wimp in the White House who leaves the hard work to the Legislature and his czars and complains like a cleaning lady about messes he has to clean up. In fact I've never heard a cleaning lady complain as much as he does. ;D

Marsha you are beaing a dead horse.......Pawlenty is done..stick a fork in him... The main stream media in concert with the Democrats who own them might kill Pawlenty's chances. But he has a strong organization and plenty of support. He won't go down without a fight. And he IS a fighter. Don't think he hasn't had to fight before. He has.

Marsha, Marsha...read my lips:
"Pawlenty has NO money"
“Pawlenty’s Manchester meltdown,” the National Journal headline blared. “It was an opportunity missed – more painfully, an opportunity virtually everyone noticed, making the damage all the worse,” the news site opined.

There are three names on Obama's campaign headquarters bulletin board. Romney, Pawlenty and Huntsman. Those are the men Obama is watching, the ones he takes seriously. Guess which one is challenging him on specifics, on the economy. Guess which one is the anti-Obama? Guess what the campaign will be about? The economy stupid. The economy. Guess who is taking that on boldly? Pawlenty, that's right.
Just the fact that the MSM is attacking him so vigorously and so early ought to clue you in to what's going on if you have half a brain. They do it every time. Destroy the strong candidates and puff up the fluffy ones.

Thanx Ma'am but the only show I will be watching will be going on in Canada in @ 7 1/2 hours or 1700 hrs PST..it is for all the marbles in game 7 of the Stanley Cup ...much more important to Bostonians than a wimpy ex governor from Minnesota whose weakness reminds me of Obama ..

Obama is thinking about not running for a second term if the economic slowdown continues for another year and things don't turn around...He wants to raise @ $1 Billion but money cannot but an election if so many voters are unemployed... Check it out if you have any doubts the handwriting is on the wall and even a dumb old jock and political novice can read it..

There is no chance the economy will turn around in a year. The only thing that can turn the economy around is massive Govt employment to rebuild the country's infrastructure. Pushing money out to the private sector and hoping that they hire won't work.

Pawlenty was elected four times in a district that was almost exclusively white, affluent, and suburban. He was elected twice as governor but failed to gain a majority of the votes cast in either election. What is the best selling ice cream? Currently among Americans it is vanilla which 29% of the country likes. Read more: wiki.answers.com/Q/What_is_the_best_selling_Ice_Cream_flavor#ixzz1PMP0r98A And 29% won't get him elected president.

Not going to happen Marsha.....Pawlenty is about to announce he is dropping out of the race for president because of a lack of funds and spend more time with his family.....and you can take that to the bank...
