I didn't get groped the last time I flew, but how sick do you think you're gonna get by people touching your clothes. It's not like you're gonna lick their hands.
Oh, and the gloves are for their protection against germs, not theirs.

You have to be kidding but i guess you re not.. why not just bring a bunch of those disenfected paper towel things..handy wipes.after the grouping..move quickly to a rest room... make sure you arrive early to do all this... find a stall, preferably a large one special for the handicapped, lock door, after being sick, use handy wipes all over , remember to save for airplane seat, back of seat in front of you and one or two to wipe in case a refreshment is served to you, possible wear gloves too..that should do it..hope it was helpful.

I'd go for the body scan instead of being groped!

You do know they touch the outside of your clothes? They don't actually get under anyone's clothes and grope their crotch or armpits. And if you were truly germaphobic, rather than just a harmlessly loony attention hog, you would opt for the scanner because then you wouldn't have to worry about it.

Bring a set of clothes with you and change, then promptly put the contaminated clothing in a plastic bag, then put that bag in ANOTHER plastic bag. Hose down hands with Purell and garggle Hydrogen Perxoide after placing contaminated clothing in the plastic bag.
clothing into hot water and bleach when at arrived destination.
Just do the body scan if you are that paranoid. Or better yet, don't fly.
How do you handle sitting in an airplane seat that was probably last washed the day the plane was made and has had thousands of various people sitting in them?
Have you ever thought about getting help for your germophobia?

Yet you're ok with your husband sticking parts of his body into other women?

She said she's only a germophone when it pertains to strangers' germs. So if her husband screwed someone she knew, I guess it would be OK.

Did you know that the TSA frown upon people lining up to be groped without tickets?
I am running out of airports to go to!

I don't really remeber them feeling me up in sept to England. I understand your concern but if needed you could ask them nicely for them to put on new gloves. You will need to be strong and realize it is only a few seconds of time then it is over.

As many here know, I am very germaphobic when it comes to germs from strangers. I will need to fly soon and refuse to go through the scanner. I don't mind getting groped by strange hands, but I do mind getting groped with gloves that have been up a hundred crotches and armpits and in peoples hair. Has anyone here ever asked the security officer to put on a new pair of gloves before the search? Would I be out of line to even ask that this be done? I'm serious....I really need to take this trip and don't think I can fly knowing there are creepy crawlies all over me. why would you refuse the scanner? And can't you drive or take the bus/train if getting frisked is really that bad?

I think there are far more germs past the gate, in the airport, not to mention in the plane.
A coworker yesterday told me at restaruants, the menus have the most germs on them. Not something I wanted to think about, but now I will probably wash or sanitize my hands after ordering.

EVERYTHING in a resturant has germs on it. There is nothing in that place that hasn't been touched by somebody or several somebodies.
I giggled at the whole "the lemon in your tea has germs!" hysteria. Really? Did you happen to miss the bus boy washing the tables with a rag that has been used on about thirty other tables and hasn't been switched out since 10 am?

There was a rest I worked at that the rags were kept in buckets of hot bleach water and the water was changed at least once every hour.

So it didn't happen too often. So yeah. .. not to worry about the lemon or the menus after the things I have seen.

Mythbusters proved your kitchen sink is the most dirty place and your kitchen sponge is dirtier than a public toilet seat.

LA, I'm really curious as to how you get along in your daily life. Everyday germs in moderation work to build up our immune systems. I'm sure you weren't raised in a germproof bubble, and you're still alive.

Too far to drive and I don't think the scanners are safe. One five-second walk through a scanner isn't going to give you cancer or radiation poisoning.

And while you're at it, don't let them put a slice of lemon in your tea or soda....restaurant workers slice those without gloves on, and they sit, festering in a plastic container for days. Ew.

People do realize that all the germs in these places are currently residing on you, in you and on everyone around you don't you?
The lemons are germy, but they are not the kind of germs that are going to do you serious harm or kill you if you are not immune compromised.
Those guys are hanging out in the hospital and in the human poo water places like Mexico use to fertilize their crops.
I'd be a lot more worried about making sure if you are in the hospital that the nurse properly sterilizes your IV cathether than about the lemon in your tea, but that's just me.
