Sam, MSN is big on saying @#@#$^$# you to their customers. They are NOT a customerfriendly company. I think the new boards are great and will be better once we all learn to post pics!

kgb - Empire gave me another way to do it if you are having a hard time. She typed out the instructions for me s. l. o. w. l. y. ;P I'll copy and paste them here for you too:
1. Click on "Reply" on the bottom right below the last post of the page. 2. On the "Attachment" line - click on the "Browse" button, and find where your picture is saved on your computer. (I have pictures in "My Pictures" folder on my desktop). 3. Click on the picture and then click open. This will now be in the Attachment line of your Post. 4. Write your message. 5. Click on "post Reply" button.

POM, that is WAY too much work. CL - It's really only two extra steps, and it works for pictures that normally won't post. I just asked Empire to give detailed instruction for the challenged (me) so it looks like a lot of steps because she started with the obvious part to begin and end with, which you would do either way you post the pictures. ETA: I just counted the steps to both ways - they are the same!

I'm not posting stuff from My Pictures though. I'm not saving one everytime I want to post it.

Beach or anyone, is there a way to quote just part of the post without doing an edit when it grabs the full post? Sam, Thanks for the more detailed explanation.

Sam are you not moderating by choice, or I should say not putting your hat in the ring, or have just had all you needed. I believe you heled me out with a problem a bit ago through a communication from another moderator, just want to take this time to say TY, appreciated, think your from the Boston area, or am I confused on moderators.

Hi Yankee! Yep, it's me. Are you able to access this web page from work? I know you had a devil of a time with the Bin. Good to see you!! God, my eye are going. The font is a bit small to read. Tried to enlarge the font, but the option will not work to enlarge. Oh well. I sure can get here...for now anyway. I just managed to post a message in the bin since you brought it up. The last time that happened, corporate got a hold of the site and blocked it....so we shall see.

...:::"reader communities are increasingly moving toward article-page comments and social-networking sites such as Facebook":::...
Upon reflecting about this more, I think its much more appropriate to say this statement is false FOR US. I agree that many other sites are moving in this direction. Of course as has been proven time and time again, YM'mers dodge the curve and do things differently.
"Money" is indeed going to lose a lot of dedicated users, but I guess the numbers have determined that we are not worth what we cost to host. So be it. Bandwidth isn't free.

I'm just glad there is another board to go to, that also keeps a lot of the same posters. I'm not sure how much luck we'll have with getting new posters though.

<<this time is I will no longer be moderating boards>> The old LongSam, now known as Sammy over here. Good! One power hungry overbearing ex-mod finally gone! Trust me, when put to a vote for new Mods, you would end up near, or at the bottom for sure. We only pretended to like you, and put up with you, because you did hold all the power. MuscleUp nailed it for sure. Trust me, you won't be missed.
Control issues? You and Laterbloomer both. One bad ex-Mod down, one to go.

Perhaps if some posters didn't act like 6 year olds on a sugar high at times.....No, not you personally, I'm just saying. I guess this proves that the only people that get the blame for everything are those that volunteer their time. Personally, I'd like to thank all of the mods...both good and bad...for all their time and dedication on the MSN boards. I know what a thankless job volunteering can be and I appreciate all of your hard work keeping us grown-up children in line.

As you say Florida Yankee, the 6 yr olds on sugar high need to be kept in line. However, from the same group of old MSN Mods there are & were many Excellent Moderators: Reformed day Trader, Td2k, Mod Emeritus, TallGuy, sweetenthepe, rovo, Solar, just for starters

As you say Florida Yankee, the 6 yr olds on sugar high need to be kept in line. That's where the duct tape comes in. I was only on the MSN boards for a few years so I wasn't around for a few of the "old timers" (never knew sweet was a mod) you mentioned. All in all, they were fair and did well, IMHO. Again, you have to remember, these guys and gals are not paid for their time babysitting a bunch of supposed grown-ups with no self control.
