President Obama and the ABC OPINION POLL YET? I do not want to step on any toes...... but President Obama is losing traction fast. Can everyone in unison, say,
"It's the ECONOMY"
Remember ole Bill Clinton got that one right, and Obama does not get it.........

How about you start a thread that says "Obama is Toast"...??
But any polls now may not be acceptable to the Liberals

The current polls don't look good for Obama - plus he is betraying himself out of office. His base ain't happy.

The President has actually lost all his karma from the Osama Bin Laden assassination. That sure didn't take long.

Americans never really got their pound of flesh when he was just fed to the fishes while the body was still warm. Too many political problems would have occurred. The Terrorists would have their heads on fire, if he were alive, as well as his fellow Democrats, to say nothing of the Republicans. And where to we keep him? Certainly not Guantanimo, and we could not keep him at sea on a ship. Besides the original story of him hiding behind his wife with a rifle refusing to surrender made good copy for 24 hours or so, when it was discovered it was a cover up.

Yes we certainly can, but the Democrats still think Obama's unpopularity is because everyone who disagrees with him is racist, so they are not going to hear you... The good news is that this ignorance will cost them the election in 2012, so Obama's reign of terror will end...

Obama is on thin ice but do the Republicans have anyone but Romney to give him a good run for his megabucks in 2012??
I don't think so and let's not stick a fork in Obama just yet, he may not be done....Clinton was re elected because the Republicans did not have strong challenger.. But thankfully Carter was NOT because Republicans did have a very strong challenger Ronald Reagan.
So where am I going with this you might ask?? Hell I don't know but just thought I would give you Republicans here something to mull over....get somebody to challenge Obama and Romney is NOT the Guy...IMHO

Yeah, I saw this poll. Put Obam and Romney tied at 47/47, something like that, and Romney ahead by a few points in registered voters. I'd really rather not go from Bush to Bush/Obama to Bush/Obama/Romney, but we will see.

Sure it is the economy but it is a lot easier to gripe about the economy than to fix it. This problem has been building for at least a decade, maybe more, and it will not be fixed in a couple of years. Hard decisions need to be made to get us back on a sustainable path and I'm not sure if the President or the Congress has the guts to attempt a remedy.

Reign of Terror? ROFL, I think he meant Bush. Obama was more like the "Reign of Spending", wether he could help it or not he did have a higher frequency of blowing through more money than any other president.

Judging what I see people say on this board, it is easy to see why they lack the guts. People want everything to just be normal, BETTER even, and for some reason they think it is possible right now-- which it is not..

I agree, I think they are looking 2 ways more delay or another stupid choice. People either way will eventually get sick of this and it will be really bad for them. You make a mob angry enough and the yelling of the mob will be the least of your worries.

I think this is obvious too, but I think most people are part of the parrot effect. They repeat how bad it is, but don't realize/care or to lazy to do anything about it.

I am a Republican but not a member of the GOP as many years ago the values of the party changed and mine never did. Some how the party went from Limited Government and personal responsibility to larger Government and Social Control. No one has really stepped up to take up the banner of what the party used to be, instead they choose to pander to anyone who will listen to get them to buy into the New Republican Party.

I would support him in a heartbeat and I am not a Republican just an old member of this prestigious message board and once served my country for a living..

General Patreaus? I have seen people like Sen Grassley try and push him to run, though I doubt he will. He has accomplished more than just about any member of congress can hope to do.
I would really need to see what he has to offer so to speak before I even considered him. Right now the only one I am studying is Johnson, I like what he says and he had a decent record in NM, it could be his to lose, if he can get some camera time.

Johnson seems too nice to win, IMO. They made mincemeat of McCain to the point I had to think maybe McCain was an agreed upon sacrifice. Someone is going to have a tough fight ahead. Can Johnson do it? I've watched him a lot, he seems okay, but is he battle ready? That may be stupid, but it is true. Think he can fight Obama, cme?

Krickitt, 2008 was not a year that McCain should have run. He was spry in the 2000 primaries and a loose cannon, in 2008 he tried to "say" all the right things, he tried to walk the party way he was just never really in it, he was vaulted to the front for 2 reasons, IMO (In my Opinion which is neither humble or non humble, just opinionated). 1. Romney was too close to Obama, he had lots of voting history in his Liberal state and his voting record reflected that. 2. As much as the Religious Right "love" a god fearing man they really couldn't see placing a pastor in the White House, most political Christians are what Jesus would have referred to as white washed sepulcher Nice looking on the outside hiding much filth waste and dead bodies on the inside.

I have really just started to look at his history, he is well spoken and seems to have a grasp for what is going on in America, I have no doubt he can stand Toe to Toe with Obama, what I wonder is if he can stand bankroll to bankroll with Obama and Romney.
