CBS News, NBC Evening News, MSNBC and the Liberal Elite Journalists are all trying to downplay both Democrats Edwards and Weiner because they don't want smugness, lying, and arrogance to become the face of their party..
Liberals claim the case against Edwards is weak and his reply " I did not break the law, I never, ever thought I was breaking the law" is spot on and he will be found not guilty of the six charges against him..and of course Edwards is a lawyer who campaigned for financial reform bill so the ordinary people feel their vote makes a difference.
Liberals also think Weiner- gate is a matter between Anthony Weiner and his wife and his constituents in Brooklyn....His story was not covered last night on NBC News but instead Brian Williams did cover Sarah Palin's Paul Revere's midnight ride from Boston to Concord warning the British that they cannot take away the Patriots arms.
So the Liberal media is using an old sports strategy have a strong offense to overcome a weak defense and they are attacking Sarah, Santorum, Romney, Boehner instead of trying to apologize for Edwards and Weiner and defend these two liars who are disgrace to our government.
IMHO, P.I.

But let's try to do a better job with your quest for Poltical Correctness because with too many slip ups , one's reputation for excellence and accuracy might just take a hit...
As per your request. Your title asks, "Are Dems ...?" and your OP talks about media and liberals.

I watched NBC News last night, and Weiner was indeed on it, with his wimpy apology, and views of his wife. Pretty pathetic.
Then why did Brian Williams say last night he didn't think Weiner was an important story and why is MSNBC going after Andrew Breitbart and not Weiner??
The liberal media are all bombasting Breitbart's website BigGovernment.com and they all refuse to show the Weiner Pictures and some of them are X rated..

Well demi... says that NBC did cover Weiner and I am not sure what more there is to report on the Edwards case on a continuing basis.

Williams only said last night on NBC Evening News that Weiner was not an important story and he wanted to cover more important news stories and that was the West Coast edition of NBC Evening News...did MSNBC go after Weiner in the same negative way they are going after Sarah over something a lot less important??
Rachel Maddow is trying to defend her buddy Weiner and hopes he doesn't resign from congress over a matter between him and his lovely wife
Dennis O'Donnell said that Weiner did not break any laws and was just stupid and he has lots of company in congress..

Too late.
But to be fair, this has for too long been the face of BOTH parties. The Republicans are at least, of late, faking that they 'get it'. The Democrats are as politically tone deaf a bunch as I've ever seen in my life. We'll see how it all shakes out.

What about all the Liberal Elite Journalists who think the case against John Edwards is a farce and he did nothing wrong taking megabucks for his campaign but funneled most of the megabucks from wealthy contributors to his mistress??

Larence O'Donnel on MSNBC last night said, he felt Edwards should be found guilty. That was a good start. Then he said, he should get no jail time. He should not be fined one dollar more than the Feds used in his prosecution. Sounds rather unfair or unbalanced to me, but I did not expect anything else. I misssed what he had to say about Weiner, but watching MSNBC earlier, it sounds like the network wants him to be banned, buried and forgotten for the good of the Democratic party as very fast as possible.

What did you expect PI? The point is that they compromised any integrity they had by lying about it publicly. To me that means my trust of anything they say in the future is suspect. We trusted them as leaders of our country and what right do they have to expect us to trust them further. Edwards says not guilty of violating the law and I do not know if he is are not but the whole affair is tawdry for a public figure. Someone wants our trust we have a right to expect better of them. You talk high and mighty you best live it.

Weiner admitted sending crotch photo to woman after denying it and the Liberal Media stood behind him initially and lambasted anyone who thought that Weiner was lying his butt off. Yesterday before his news conference when he spilled his guts out the Liberal Media claimed the Andrew Breitbart story about more photos was not a big deal because the six pictures were sent as a joke...that was the report on CBS Radio News just before Weiner took the podium.
Liberals want Weiner to resign in private so why don't they say so in public or have a news conference and say what they thing about Weiner.
If Weiner were a Republcan would Nancy Pelosi be silent?? Not likely!!

The media long ago lost all of its credibility. There have been a number of turning points that I could name-- Dan Rather's shameless plugging of the phony Natl Guard memos re: W being AWOL. The entire Obama Presidency was fueled by a complicit, even cheering media. For a long time now I have made NO distinction between the lame stream press and the Democratic Party. It's just the way it is. The media is the propaganda arm of the Democratic Party. I never look at a news story anymore and think, "Gee, that's interesting and I'd like to know more about it"; I always look at the lame stream press like Democrat carnival barkers and think, "I wonder what they're trying to sell us today?"-- and that's at best. At worst, I look at them like modern-day Joseph Goebbels

Chris Lee a "R" resigned for sending shirtless photos to his admirers on Craig's list after a furor by the Liberal Media.....Weiner sent shirtless photos on twitter so why isn't the Liberal Media calling for him to resign as they did for Lee??

I love how the media missed the story of Edwards taking off when he found out he was going to be arrested so he wouldn't be frog marched out in handcuffs. Can you even IMAGINE if a Republican pulled that stunt? They would have been labeled "Fugitive Republican so and so" before they got out to the car.

I am not a Constitutional expert or lawyer but Weiner claims he used his home computer and personal blackberry to send these photos to young women. Not government computers to these women who may or may not be under age..But that may not protect him under House Rules because as I recall " A member of congress shall conduct him or her self at all times in a manner that shall reflect creditably on the House"...which was the litmus test for Charley Rangel ..so did he break any laws despite what the Liberal Media claim? I think he did..

You have Weiner, you have Edwards-- but let's not forget the re-trial of former Illinois Democrat Governor Rod "Blago" Blagojevich who was impeached, removed from office and then convicted on 1 of a whole bunch of counts, and a hung jury on the other counts. He is currently being re-tried and it doesn't look good for him right now. Haven't been following the story? Can you imagine the trial of a Republican governor on corruption charges that you haven't heard of? Gimme a break.

The reason you're not following the Blago case- the main reason- is that it reaches pretty deep into the Obama regime. It involves Barrack Obama's old Senate seat, the SEIU, and White House adviser Valerie Jarrett-- a very close friend and confidant of Barrack Obama-- someone that's so close to Obama they have been said to "share a brain". U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald called the breadth and depth of charges against Blagojevich and his Democratic Chief of Staff John Harris “staggering.” That’s an understatement. Anything that breathed was a potential shakedown target. It’s the Chicago way. Democrat Blago’s so dirty he’d hit up a children’s hospital for money. Oh, wait. He’s accused of doing that, too. Democrat Blago allegedly conspired to use his power to appoint President-elect Barack Obama’s vacant Senate seat as a bargaining chip for financial payment. He explored trading on that authority for an appointment as Health and Human Services secretary or as an ambassador or for installment in a cushy union position. (He discussed his trading scheme with an unnamed “SEIU (Service Employees International Union) official” and unnamed “various consultants” in Washington.) He had meetings with Congressman Jesse Jackson, Jr. and a variety of others where Illinois "Pay to play" politics were in full out open discussion-- in spite of denials by the participants with him. President Obama himself initially lied saying he had no conversations with Blago concerning who to appoint to his old Senate seat, but then later had to admit, well, no-- Obama did actually speak to him but there was no pay to play discussion... littlegreenfootballs.com/article/32137_Obama_Did_Discuss_Senate_Seat_with_BlagojevichAnd while we're on the topic of media bias, at the time-- KHQA pulled their stories on this... Now, is this a NEWS organization-- or a political campaign? See, you can't really tell the difference, can you?

And this is what the push to control the internet is all about. This is what the push to label conservatives as terrorists is all about. This is why they want to paint the TEA Party as violent extremist. Because the conservative media- the blogosphere in particular- is KILLING what has become a far left Democratic Party and their allies in the lame stream press no longer have a monopoly on the dissemination of information. It's driving them absolutely crazy and that's what explains their lust to shut people up by controlling the internet.
