yclept,...............but the name of the company is: Baristas Coffee Co. And I just emailed a friend that lives in San Antonio....sort of hinting for him to stop by and check it out for us. Surely he would think that I was strictly talking about the "coffee"; but I did give him the web site.

The spell check on my computer is malfunctioning big time. Sunday night, when I typed "short", it came out "long".....LOL. Brings back memories of when I was instructing jets...& there's a red light in the cockpit.... not a good thing. SBS, your spell checker must be working.....!!! LOL Your trophy is being polished for the presentation.......
Oh no! My COW is getting winded and falling back and the race is less than half way. Maybe that's why horses always pulled carriages and oxen, wagons. There's a lot of practical wisdom from the past that has been sublimated due to disuse.
JAMN. Classical pump-and-dump play. I saw it being hyped on a few penny stock letters prior to and during the run-up. These actions are exactly why most of us on this board will not touch the penny stocks. That said, they make for a lot of excitement in the stock pick of the week game. ;D

SBS,.........rovo & jarhead (the 2 posts above) flagged it correctly. And if anyone wishes to go back and read some of the posts on the contest a couple of weeks ago, this is really no big surprise. When I picked JAMN long then, remember I said I was as surprised as anyone on the up percentage then. And for your information, when I was with a very large architectural firm, we did 50 schools in the Island of Jamaica (most were small 1,2,3 classrooms; only accessible by a helicopter, etc.). Financed by the World Bank when McNamara ran it. So you see, I can spell "fundamentals".... LOL. But I honestly thought that BCCI (my pick this week) was not all hot air......which so far it has turned out to be. Cheapee, volatile stocks are ideal for pump and dumps....and most traders know this, and don't put "investment $$$" into them. Enjoy your position this week as No.1; and don't apologize to anyone for being there. And, once again, I congratulate rovo for running a very accurate and fun contest.
LOL! ;D Yeah, rovo, I saw a lot of positive hype recently about it too and that was why I was surprised about it going down pre-market during the weekend. Nope, not my cup of tea... coffee at all. Ok, at least JAMN is only down 30% now... earlier today it was down 60% for the day.

SBS is short coffee; but the guy at the bottom (me) is long. So my advice for this board: go to the store, buy up their supplies, take coffee to all your neighbors, & set up a booth in front of your house, with a sign "FREE COFFEE". ..... but even with that Rovo's post (at the end of the market day) will be the same. .....LOL
In the real portfolio I sent the COW (along with her MOO) off to the meat packing house yesterday. I'm back in a go-to-cash mode after belatedly checking the 5-15-50 moving averages yesterday.
I really thought these agricultural commodity ETFs would be doing well between Japan's need to import more food and the loss of crops and animal feed due to the Midwest/South flooding. Reckon I was wrong, or maybe just early, or maybe just late!
They say a rising tide lifts all boats. We don't seem to have a rising tide. I guess we have something more akin to a tsunami and flooding sinks all boats.
