Will go with YONG (Long) this week. Taking a chance the upcoming 4Qtr/Annual report will be positive. Current market price seems cheap, so maybe this is a wash for the week. Chinese fertilizer additive just coming into season, so perhaps this is premature.
Perhaps sticking with RRD one more week would work out better, but I am a little loose when picking stocks (at least, quite a bit)

I'll ride this mount again. I think the horse has potential and am just going to let her run to keep other horses behind her blinders. Some horses you have to rein, others will take the bit between their teeth and you can just give them their head -- I'll try the latter this week:

TMF long is my guess for the coming week
i own 1500 shares of TLT, a similar etf... TLT's dividend is about 4.3% similar to my view of inflation....

i own only 300 shares of TMF. if TMF goes against me i'll need to sell it... if TLT goes against me the dividend allows me to hold the position longer....
BTW, the inverse of TMF is TMV, it compares to TBT, but higher risk,

Short AA (Alcoa - Aluminum)

Again a strictly technical pick based on the same setup as last weeks pick. AA just broke below trendline support on Thusday and on Friday met the Price<5sma<15sma<50sma. The forward PE and the PS look ok but they have a high DE, PE, and PEG.

Edit: I wanted to add there were 221 stocks that met the Price<5sma<15sma<50sma cross on Friday that were trading a price>2. The total stocks that meet the Price<5sma<15sma<50sma that traded above $2 was at 1091.

Only because it should recover this week, I am sticking with ALU, long. Alcatel Lucent is on the way again. Next week, I will try a new pick.

I'll enter URTY into the race. It's the 3x Russel 2000 ETF. I've been riding this horse since November, and been quite a ride. She's been bucking the last couple of weeks, tho. Still, I think she might have a little left in her.

I'm going long with Apple, Inc. AAPL

I'm not certain about market direction this week so I'm going with a stock that has a redesigned product just entering the market. Initial sales of Ipad 2 are very strong and AAPL is under valued in my opinion.

I hold a few shares of AAPL in real life.

Busy morning, but I wanted to mention I sold SBS @52.4501, so I no longer have a real position riding on this horse.
Sold about 1/3 of portfolio so far this morning -- got some more to go, then need to pick up some more leveraged short ETFs and I hope to be sitting pretty!

Just pull up a point and figure chart of the Dow Industrials...to see how bearish this market is. I hope Rovo has enough red ink in his printer when he updates the contest all week. But all this "correction stuff" has happened many times before.

Not "little", closer to "none". But then, this morning, SBS dropped off the screen that picked it, so selling it demonstrated a degree of faith in the process. This was one of the few positions I sold this morning that actually had some profit left.

And hey, I mentioned on Rovo's thread that I did buy a uranium ETF and a double-long Japan ETF -- how much more faith need one demonstrate?

If it wasn't for my position in AGQ, I'd be even or up for the day somehow...unfortunately, that position is a decent sized one and dragging me down. Sure hope YONG continues rebounding.

burger, looks like the YONG shorts do not wish to be caught too short. It would be a pleasure indeed if the price closed over 7. The CC soothed some long nerves. Still believe we will see 9+ before end of September this year. YONG entering the two top quarters for fertizer additive sales.
I may be wrong, but believe this is an easy call, so if it fails to exceed 9 by Fall, it will prove I really do not have a brain, just empty space between the ears.
Damn those shorty torpedoes, full speed ahead!

Majeasy moves into the lead with a +3X bond play. Yclept is holding firm in second place but directly behind him are two more short plays. I think we can expect a lot more action for the remainder of the week.
