Team Obama is starting early on team expansion. Here's how. They are running ads in several selected markets for telephone marketers to make solicitation calls for donations. They tell you up front that dedication to a progressive agenda for the country is a necessary component of making blind calls to people and asking for their money to help keep Obama in office. Here is a sample. You need to look down the page. The header is about something different. ( I wonder if they are unionized.): Join the Fundraising Team at Telefund!
The Obama Administration has already accomplished so much. However, with the results of the mid-term election, it is even more important to raise funds for progressive causes that give President Obama the support he needs to continue with his agenda. We need to put pressure on the new Congress to do the right thing!
Come work at Telefund and raise money for progressive organizations and causes including: the Democratic Party the American Civil Liberties Union, the Human Rights Campaign, Planned Parenthood, and independent media like PBS and Mother Jones Magazine.
We are hiring callers to raise money and build support for these progressive organizations, political campaigns, causes, and candidates. We call current and past supporters to raise funds that help these great organizations pass legislation, build their membership base, win elections, and make a difference in the world. We are currently building our Friday through Monday shifts and we are looking for callers who will work a minimum of 12hrs in that time frame.
-Conveniently located at Wilshire and Normandie – EASILY accessible by BOTH bus and train. -Four hour shifts available Friday 5PM-9PM, Saturday 10AM-5PM, Sunday 10AM-5PM and Monday 12:30PM-9PM, Saturday and Sunday start times are flexible. -Average pay including bonuses is $11/hr; top callers earn $14-$16/hr. www.find-designer-jobs.com/help-build-a-progressive-america8-16hr-wilshire-and-normandie/

The Problem with Presidents running is that they then have to spend too much of their time trying to get re elected. Perhaps we should just look at a 6 yr one term or something instead. I think this problem is with MOST politicians

One could hardly call $11-15 per hour [including bonuses] a "good paying job." I've noticed the same thing with newspapers; while their editorial policy is for unionization, high and higher minimum wage, fringe benefits, etc., their business units seek to avoid, if they can, paying even existing minimum wage and any "fringe" benefits at all. It's worthwhile to observe those whose public positions are in complete contradiction with their actual practices. The newspapermen I've discussed this with have invariably excused this inconsistency by explaining that the editorial boards are independent of the actual newspaper business. Of course I think that's a load of crap, but it seems to serve their purposes. The same could be said of political campaigns, that the candidate is independent of the campaign for his election, but that's harder to sell.
