The creator of the product claims the US Military buys its product, but I'd like to know what the military has to say about it.

Don't laugh, but I believe I had read in India, back when under the rule of the Brits, there was a mutiny of the Brits Muslim military units, very famous one , and supposedly the Brits did let the rumor out that that was exactly what they were doing to their ammunition, and supposedly it had some success in breaking the mutiny.
Is it true or not...?? Not sure, but the idea sticks in my mind, will google.

Acording to snopes General Black Jack Pershing ended the Philippine insurrection by greasing bullets with pig fat. After the article on General Pershing snopes also includes this: In the 1939 film The Real Glory, Gary Cooper portrays Dr. Bill Canavan, an American Army doctor in 1906 Manila who "tries to protect the native population from ruthless invaders" (i.e., "Muslim fanatics"). At one point in the film, the Dr. Canavan character drapes a captured Muslim in a pigskin and proclaims that henceforth that all slain Muslim rebels will be buried in pig skins, thereby discouraging their "savagery" by threatening to prevent their entry into paradise. And, of course, the above-cited anecdote about General Pershing's handling of terrorists in the Philippines has been circulating widely ever since September and has been making the rounds even at the top levels of government in the USA: I have also read abiout the Israelis considering somethng similar.

I read it as US Military buys it, but I've been wrong before...........but if they're buying personally, I don't think Navy SEAL missions are BYOB (Bullets)

I'm a "whatever we gotta do" kind of person. We need to identify the enemy-- something we seem reluctant to do-- first. Seems that at least some people are giving it some thought.

Not sure about ammo, though, there are stringent military regs on ammunition for both ballistic and regulatory reasons. I doubt even a SEAL is taking his own ammo into the field...

This is a silly question, but couldn't someone just rub bacon on their military-issued weapon and ammunition, if desired ... and achieve the same results?

You get the added benefit of a fully cooked breakfast after firing only 6 clips. I smell a delicious opportunity. Any investors on board??

7.62mm full bacon jacket. ;D Imagine the unintended increase in the suicide rate. Friends of the deceased all say the same thing. "All he wanted to do was to taste some bacon."

This is a silly question, but couldn't someone just rub bacon on their military-issued weapon and ammunition, if desired ... and achieve the same results? It's not that the ammunition was so tainted, if tainted but the information it was tainted didn't get out, just something that might foul up the works and if it was getting out , trust me the highest authorities would put a stop to it, unlike some here to P off 1.2 Billion people, friendly nations , allies, over something like that, is notn that smart. On a personal, when your Husband deploys over seas, possible never leaves the bases assigned but possible at times does, and would you want normally friendly people , [unless you believe all 1.2 Billion of them are against us anyway], thinking he's deployed to one of those areas at times, or might be if not yet happened looking to get him and us, because of such a affront to their faith? Kind of dumb to me, and if the bullet is fired at a belligerant, it won't stop him from his actions any more if so coated then if it wasn't.

We REALLY need a "going over your head" smiley icon...just a friendly heads up... Are you suggesting my post was confusing ed? A ...ok a bit long but in rereading I thought it was clear. To upset a whole group of people, even those who have no anomosity toward us, beyond tea and crumpets with us is really not something they would look forward to, but to attack their faith, insult that which is so important to them, thus making them enemies makes little sense. IMHO. Post was directed to the one here, beyond Ratchets that I know has a vested interst in how people might react toward a loved one as her husband goes in harms way, while the rest of us are safe in our beds and at times might find himself with in their midst when he is deployed overseas, and another unnecesary risk is not something he or she would feel is a smart move , especially when to get to that point, annouance or worse serves no purpose to the mission. If that explanation doesn't satisfy you , I could suggest to bad, ...just "deal with it"...about the best your going to get from me.
