Palin desperately needs to sound intelligent if she's going to have a chance at the presidency in 2012. Should that be her goal, a photo-op tour may not be the best way to read up on America's history. She can read a book because it would cost much less money. But a book won't take her picture or make headlines. A trip is inspiring, but can she learn by osmosis? Imagine touring the Old North Church in Boston. Hopefully, Palin won't say this is the spot where Paul Revere said "Give me liberty or give me death!" news.yahoo.com/s/ac/20110529/us_ac/8554629_palin_begins_bus_tour_into_mediocrity_1Well, she didn't screw up the "give me liberty or give me death" quote, but she did damage to say some sort of nonsense regarding Paul Revere and how he rode through Boston to warn the citizens by "ringing bells" and letting the folks know that the British were coming to "take away their guns" I'll post the film as soon as it's available. It was just on the news.

From your crappy Yahoo "News" link dear Ms. cereb;
William Browning is a research librarian specializing in U.S. politics. Born in St. Louis, Browning is active in local politics and served as a campaign volunteer for President Barack Obama and Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill.
Sounds like a good non-partisan viewpoint to me...

Curiouse only, what is so bad about yahoo news, news is news which ever source, especially if just presenting news..that you have to post "crappy Yahoo ", is it the mantra of our Northern Neighbors to be negative on all things, or a exclusive attribute just of your self and possible some other disgruntled folk from your neck of the woods. They have all recently left to return home, but we have had the good fortune of the company of many of our Northern Neighbors again this year as we do every year, and never hear such negative thoughts and can't wait for them to return, usually abouty November as they escape your god awful winters. Methinks your attitude is a burns attribute, glory be to "ole Canada"

You are talking about a select few old codgers who have some money and don't need to worry about getting up every day to fight traffic to get to work. They don't care about politics anymore and just want to soak up the sun wherever they may find it. Try talking to someone of my circumstances some day and you will find out what is really on peoples minds up here.

These old codgers, not so few by the way, are possible your parents, elderly relatives, neighbors , parents of friends.
Most are gone now but not that many years ago we had two brothers and their wives , the two brothers , codgers, hit the beach, Juno I believe, and fought their way straight across Europe. Some are members of our boards and as far as who have some money, they worked their whole life , fought traffic, and saved their $ and had the smarts to not want to freeze as you do every winter which really sucks , been to Montreal in the winter, sucked, skied Mt Blanc, and they didn't have to do that.
One of my neighbors Red played Professional Hockey and I have seen the old codger, don his "In line skates", take his curved Hockey stick with a tennis ball on the end of the stick[split the ball}and move up and down our roadway at full tilt and for any Hockey fan to watch you know the last thing you want to be is in his path on the ice, even as a old cojer as you say.
"Try talking to someone of my circumstances some day and you will find out what is really on peoples minds up here.'
Your suggestion it is so bad there , Canada, the Provinces that their attitude for the most part mirrors yours for real, not as a put down for fun??
If so , my sympathies go out and have to give you a thought of YOUR good friend...get a grip, snap out of it...."Deal with it."

"From your crappy Yahoo "News" link dear Ms. cereb;"
Ok, you got me there, but in all fairness it really wasn't the article I was after, it was the video. I was watching the news and saw the clip of her, but it had not been posted to the internet as yet. I also had a difficult time finding an article that addressed the video, so, that was what I got.
