Well if nothing else. you folks are assuring job security for the folks who work at Snopes.com. For example? Did Obama play his 70th round of golf on Memorial Day? Yes. Has the number of limousines owned by the federal government increased 73% since Obama took office? Yes. Did the Obama's book 600 hotel rooms on their trip to India? True. You made the snide remark implying that what I posted is not true-- back it up. Prove something from the OP, or my subsequent posts false. Do it. Lets be very clear about something here. I don't take orders from you or anyone else to "do it" or "do" anything else. Folks like yourself have a very, very bad track record of posting outrageous claims, the later when the dust settles and your claims have been proven false you are far too busy on the next outrageous claim, foaming at the mouth over the next forwarded e-mail, viral falsehood to bother to admit what you previously was bullshit. If it smells like bullshit, it probably is. I am all done running around the internet trying to prove out the smell of bullshit. Patience pays off. The folks at snopes do a fine job of rooting it out. Never fear, I will remember your so called "facts" on the matter, and if and when they are proven right or wrong I'll be more than happy to either apologize or bake you a homemade pie full of crow. I haven't had the need to make many apologies, but it does seem my oven gets plenty of use.

BTW, when you are the OP, and it's your assertion, it's up to you to "prove it". Simples. Citations from goofy right wing websites don't count.

You also might want to be aware that some "news" reports have the number of booked rooms at 800, 1120, and other various unsubstantiated numbers. But hey, whats a few hundred when you are discussing slippery little" facts" eh?
Silly people. Shesh.

Oh, and also, don't take it personally. I'm sure that you really believe everything you post or you wouldn't post it right?

When someone brings up snopes as a challenge, to say a poster is lying.. shouldn't they then follow up on it?

When someone brings up snopes as a challenge, to say a poster is lying.. shouldn't they then follow up on it? Or at the very least state which fact they suspect is false, and why. Should they? Sure. Will they? Never.

Earlier this week, the Press Trust of India reported that the United States will "be spending a whopping $200 million per day on President Barack Obama's visit" to Mumbai.
The story lacked a named source, and the $200 million claim was credited to "a top official of the Maharashtra Government privy to the arrangements for the high-profile visit."
The claim quickly gained traction on the right, thanks in part to a link on the conservative news aggregator The Drudge Report. Among those citing it is Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann, who responded to a question from CNN's Anderson Cooper last night on how she would reduce the deficit by citing the cost of the presidential trip.
The above is a quote from the link you provided by CBS.
It's a good idea to actually read the article before you use it to cite and prove your point, since your citation actually did nothing more than shed even more doubt on your claims.
Try again?

""Well I think we know that just within a day or so, the president of the United States will be taking a trip over to India that is expected to cost the taxpayers $200 million a day," she said. "He's taking two thousand people with him. He'll be renting out over 870 rooms in India. And these are 5-star hotel rooms at the Taj Mahal Palace hotel. This is the kind of over-the-top spending, it's a very small example, Anderson."
CBS News asked the White House about the story yesterday, and the White House said in an email that "The numbers reported in this article have no basis in reality."
Again from the article you cited. Are you aware of the meaning of the phrase " no basis in reality" and it's meaning?

"Snopes? It WAS brought up.." Yes it was, but at this point I don't even need to use snopes since the OP was kind enough to provide his own source to prove at least one claim as false.

"It says the White House had blocked off the entire Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai - it hasn't - and that the press traveling with Mr. Obama will be staying there. We won't," writes Jonathan Weisman. "Besides, the press pays its own way at considerable cost to the media outlets, not the U.S. taxpayer."
Ouch!

They said "in an email"? I wonder if any of the MSM like the Communist News Network has asked them pointblank in a press conference. Probably not I would have to assume.

E-mail, press conference, doesn't matter. The statement was made and the Obama administration is firmly attached to the statement.
Nice try though.

"Or are you just being argumentative and throwing out things you know damn well you'll never be able to support?" Well Paul, it appears as though I buried all three of your cited sources. Thanks for the entertainment, and really, don't feel too bad about it. It's all good.

Oh, just so you know for future reference, the hotel in India where one of your sources reports that Obama booked 600 rooms, only has 544 rooms. ;D

The mighty cereb (thinks she) has spoken. Snopes? Really Krickitt? Really? you have no dog in this debate. If your looking to pick a personal fight I might suggest you find someone who might oblige you. I'm not interested now, nor will I be at any time in the future.

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-....o=feeds-newsxmlIf you go to the far right of the page, this is what else you can get from dailymail: "Cindy Crawford treats her mirror image daughter Kaia to a night out in Hollywood" "What was that about sex tape humiliation? Paris Hilton strips off for new reality show." You forgot National Enquirer-esque sites too. LOL at Conservatives for screaming foul at "biased" websites, but don't hesitate to use sites like this or even blogs, sites that are just a collection of blogs (see: American Thinker) or chain e-mails. Well, you're the OP, or in this case OSSP. I know, wah! How dare anyone question the great palmbeachpaul! You act and talk like you've been told your whole life that you're the smartest kid in the world. Let's see, one site later dismisses the claim (if you're that lazy or rabidly against Obama to read the whole article, maybe it's best you don't post such things, unless of course, you're actually a secret agent for the libs and want to make Conservatives look like tin-foily idiots who will believe anything posted on teh internetz and can only complain about trivial or imaginary things) and another is just an internet version of the Enquirer. And oh noez! Obama has a round of golf on Memorial Day! Why isn't he on the job 24/7/365???!1!?2? Where were you when W. broke the vacation record? We understand, Conservatives are so steeped in hypocrisy it probably never dawned on you what you did.

It would serve Obama and his family better to take vacations at Camp David (instead of Martha's Vineyard, Hawaii, Spain, India, etc.) and to minimize his rounds of golf - at least until Americans who are losing everything get back to work. I don't like the way it looks and I certainly don't like the cost to the American taxpayer, especially in light of the fact that our government is broke and he's spending on HIMSELF and his family like he has a blank check. Oh ya, I guess he does and it is obvious that he is taking full advantage of it while talking about how the rich can afford to pay more in taxes to help support the poor. How about he forgo the lavish vacations to help support the poor?

I never posted that all the rooms were at the Taj Mahal. In fact, I never named the hotel or hotels in question. I said they booked at least 600 room. STILL TRUE. Damn it! Gotcha again, didn't I? ;D
