saveinla: Well, I decided to just run over to RA after having picked up my coupons. I was able to get (2) of the Full Repair Foams for me and (1) for my mom. I got a rain check for (3) more (another one for my mom and two for DS) at the $4.99 price and can pick them up any time before 6/28 when the June SCRs end since that SCR is good for the entire month. Another possibility would be the Full Repair Sheer Mist if it is also $4.99, but I didn't see that one in my store. All the others pictured in the SCR were priced at $10.79.

I said I did not know and did not care except that RA will pay me 10$ for taking it off their hands. ;D

At first, I wasn't sure that EC show would have a widespread impact on people, but now I'm hearing people that I NEVER thought would even think to use coupons are not trying to figure out the coupon game. One person in particular is one of the haughtiest people I know. She'd blow $80 on an everyday outfit for her baby without blinking an eye. Well, now she's trying to figure out how to coupon! [/quote] nickyleey: I knew the moment that I saw the show that it would change things. Since that show came on I have asked my cashiers if they've been seeing "binder gals" and they all have. With the economy as bad as it is, it does not surprise me that people who might not have been caught dead using coupons are using them now; good for them. It is just ignorance that makes "haughty" people think that poor people or people that cannot afford things are the only ones who use coupons.

He asked what I was getting and I told him "stuff I don't need." Actually, I might actually end up using it. ;D

nickylee,
I see a few people using coupons, but they are just buying stuff that they need with the Qs that they have. I have not seen too many people that roll their rewards, but there must be a few, since the stock on the deal items are really wiped away early at my stores. I know a couple of the cashiers do the RA deals and one of them told me that she uses the Krazycouponlady website.
I am still seeing people throw away their receipts with the 3/15 Q and it pains me since I am not getting too many of those anymore.

There was NO P&G in any of the papers from one city that I get (their coupons are usually a bit better than my local paper so I usually buy one each week). I was pretty bummed, none in the ones at the grocery store or at the campground My DH actually loves reading the Sunday paper and this week I asked for him to get the paper from the city because it was supposed to have the P&G insert. I told him not to buy it if he didn't want to read it anyway, but I wanted the coupons if he did. So he came home with two papers instead of one. I asked why and he said he wanted to read them both, but the one I asked for didn't have any inserts or ads, so he asked and the guy handed him "these". "These" were 4 SS inserts. I was thinking all I wanted was the P&G and now I am the proud owner of 4 SS inserts. if anyone wants a coupon from the SS though I have them. ;D Beachbum. With regard to coupons, never send a man to do a woman's job, LOL.

I'm not sure if the P&G at the commissary are different then the ones in the paper..it does not say military coupon like some of the others say.

In other words, I can't send DH to get my coupons. At times, the coupons are not in the newspaper. He doesn't check the coupons before he buys the newspaper. I have learned from experience, so I just get them myself. The exception: When I had my surgery. My DD went to get the coupons, and I told her to please check to make sure they were there before she bought them.
Cawiau and others just have different newspapers. I am sorry about that cawiau.

my only issue with all the couponing besides the lack of time and energy (full time wifey as most of you are, mother to 2yr old twin boys, and full time active duty) most of the time, the coupons are for things i never buy or you have to buy 3 of the items to save $.50....i do use them when they are of use, but i dont go crazy with coupons just cause i can get it for dirt cheap...wont ever use the item more than likely.

I bought stuff at CVS: I bought the Crest mouthwash (2), the Colgate toothpaste(1), The Pulsar Oral B toothbrush(2), and 2 John Frieda Repair shampoo and conditioner $4.50 X2 Crest mouthwash = $9.00 $2.79 Colgate $6.00 X 2 Pulsar Oral B =$12.00 $5.00 X2 JF shampoo and conditioner = $10.00 Sub total:$33.79Minus: $2.00 X 2 MQ's for the Crest mouthwash, $1.00 CVS store coupon (Reinventing Beauty), $1.00 Colgate MQ 5/22 SS, $3.00 MQ for the Pulsar, -$3.99 for BOGOF MQ, 2 $5.00 off MQ's 6/5 SS for the John Friedas Some of these coupons came in the P and G flyer (6/5) ---minus a total of $22.99 in coupons.
Balance to pay: $10.80, I added a 33 cent pecan carmel. TOTAL: $11.13 Paid with EBs: Minus $3.00 EB, $7.00 EB, and $1.00 EB New balance= 13 cents plus tax cleared out with a gift card.
Received: $5.00 EB for the 2 Crest mouthwashes, $3.00 for the 2 JF, $6.00 for the 2 Pulsar toothbrushes, then $2.00 for the Colgate. There is a limit 2 on the Colgate, but I like to do them separately because I like to use two coupons. One is a store coupon, and one is a MQ. I can not use TWO store coupons in one order. Paid with $11.00 in EB's, then received $16.00 total in EB's.The beauty of this scenario is that you can pay with older EB's that are going to expire and get fresh new ones with a longer expiration date. Also, you get some fairly good products for your stockpile. These are money makers, and you just have to pay the sales tax. BOO! HISS!!! Anyway, I am laughing all the way to the bank, and doing a happy dance.

cawiau: suzi is amazing at CVS. It used to be that CVS gave us $4/$20 coupons ALL THE TIME. We would scour the ad for $20 in items that were giving EBs and that we had coupons for. Then we'd use the $4/$20, our EBs and manufacturer's coupons to get our total OOP down to $0 and most of the time the $ value of the EBs we'd get back were more than the EBs that we spent - giving us a profit in EBs. It was a beautiful thing. Unfortunately CVS is not nearly as generous with the $/$$ coupons as they used to be.

Trying to stockpile for my brother and cousin Go to the previous posts by saveinla on the John Frieda deal at Rite Aid (see Post #201). You can buy two products priced at $4.99 ea. Use (2) $5/1 coupons found in today's paper to get them for free, and then submit receipt information to Rite Aid online to get a check back for $10!! If you have ANY questions about how to do it, just post and we'll help you through it. If they don't have the product in stock ask for a rain check for (2). You can buy them ANY TIME before 6/28, get them at the sales price, and submit for the rebate (Single Check Rebate).

Trying to stockpile for my brother and cousin Thank you, Cawiau. Ask people at work if they get the Sunday newspaper. Also, ask your mom and MIL to save the coupon flyers for you if they get the newspaper. Maybe your wife has friends at work that don't use the coupons. It has to be fairly good friends. The acquaintances just do not understand. They thought I was strange for asking for their coupons. As far as diapers, good coupons are between $2.50 and $3.00 off; then a sale is good with EB's at CVS or RR's at Walgreens. These deals come and go. I caution you: Diapers are expensive. I only buy them to stockpile for baby showers, instead of spending a lot of money on gifts.

Did someone help you about that? Sorry, I was in San Diego for a long baby shower today. The day started off with coffee at Starbucks, then CVS, my Mom's, to Costa Mesa to pick up DD at her apartment, and then she drove me to San Diego. I just got home at 8:00. I am "bushed!" I am ready to have a beer with you!

Trying to stockpile for my brother and cousin That was smart that you got 3 today - with the 3 inserts. There are some good ones in the P&G one. Best deal this week at RA is the Veet. Also free Toothbrush after q & up. ETA:For details, see FrugalSuz's blog at frugalsuz.blogspot.com/Scroll down to the 6/5 - 6/11 section. I'm sorry, I'm feeling tired/lazy, and FrugalSuz has it all written out so nicely.

I'm getting married in September (second marriage) and found a gorgous dress on ebay for $125! It's a Scala knock off that she had made in China, but she didn't know what size she wore so she ordered two (luckily for me). It's a beach wedding (as was hers) and the dress is perfect for it. No flowers needed as the beach provides the backdrop. For the reception, I'm doing little wedding cakes on each table that DF and I are making ourselves which eliminates center pieces and allows us to go table to table for toasting and cake cutting. My very creative Aunt is making my boquet out of my mothers, grandmothers and great grandmothers old brooches, so it will actually mean something to me and I can pass it down to my daughters. My splurge is the depression glass cake plates that I'm collecting, I need 7 so that each table has one. DF never had a "real" wedding before and he's amazed at how much I've been able to do on such a small budget. The entire wedding for 80 people with open bar and full buffet will be under $4,000. freemen10: Great job. That is amazing. What is the venue for your reception? DF and I are both retired military so the reception venue is the Officers Club right there at the beach. And it it rains, there's a fireplace inside along a glass wall where you would still have the ocean and sand in the background.

The P&G insert had some great coupons on things that I normally use so I went to two different stores (Walmart and Wags) to get additional papers and all of the papers that I checked were missing the inserts. Both stores keep their papers where people are standing and they did not look as if they had been opened so I'm really wondering if they were ever put into the papers. I'm going to call my newspaper office and complain today.
BTW, I'm a "binder" girl myself as that's the only way that I can remember what coupons that I have. I don't keep them all, just the ones on things that I use. However, I did keep all of the P&G coupons so that I could offer up the ones that I won't use to you all. Also, one of DD's friends signed her up for Parenting magazine as a joke (she's 17 now, she was 15 at the time) and so every few months we get a coupon packet from Huggies or Pampers. I know we just got one last week, I'll look for it so I can offer it up as well.

I don't ever shop at RA because of where it is but today I have to go to that exact area and as I explained I do have 4 of the 6/5 SS's. ;D I don't know if I can just walk in and fill out the paper and get the card right away or do I have to fill out a thing and wait two weeks. Any info would be appreaciated. Thanks!

I think it was pretty regional. I'm on the east coast, only a couple hours from him and it wasn't in either of my papers.

Constant Not only are the ‘deals’ less enticing but the value of most coupons has gone down (again) and many products have reduced their size in ADDITION to raising prices. I do not budget my electric but do for my natural gas. Seems like the company changes my budget amount every other month. I have set my own budget paoint based on my avg usage for the last several years.
I have been reviewing my store ads (as much as I can since my paper did NOT have Target, CVS or the RP coupon insert). I REFUSE to waste my time reading the ads on line. I have a VERY old, slow computer and VERY cheap dial up connection.
Looks like I will be ‘burning’ my current $3 RR on a couple WAG items and/or at the regular grocery stores.
Saveinla Our gas prices HAD gone down the last 3-4 weeks from about $4.50. Now they are going back up again. Excuse is some pipeline between point x & here is out.
My Dollar Tree sells the Sunday Chicago Tribune on Sat. Mine lacked: CVS ad, Target ad, RP insert. They are all supposed to be in a sealed plastic pack. My pack was sealed. Hope my Dad saved his like I asked. I have had it w/NOT getting the CVS ad. I intend to tell the mgrs at ALL my stores that w/o the ad I will NOT shop CVS for that week. It has been weeks since I got the ad by the mail or in the paper. I REFUSE to waste time & gas running to the store, going home to collect coupons & going back to the store.

They have the cards in the store, just fill out your information and they'll give you the card right there. Thank You! I am going that way today and I will try and get the card and find the right two products. REVERSE HOUND ALERT I have 4 Kingsford Charcoal Products coupons valued at $1/1 any size expires 6/18/2011 if anyone wants them. I noticed the SCR at RA when I looked at the SCR booklet online. I have a gas grill so I don't want them but I figured someone here might use charcoal and want a few MC's. ;D

NAG - I am so mad. I had registered my son for a college prep summer class for 2 days a week for 499$. I had ordered online and they had taken the money from my CC immediately. I called the CS today to confirm and they tell me that the order was not processed through the system and the class was also cancelled. If they take the money, shouldn't the order be processed? I am so not happy with them now. I thought it would be a good thing to go with the lower priced class, but now, I am not so sure. I may have to check with the other company and go with their higher priced class, but now my schedule is all wacky
