At my dollar tree- waiting line for opening. When doors opened everyone took ten papers each. I'm surprised they're not limiting.
Eta. So I had a talk with 1 girl when we left the store. There were 3 women in her car all from the same family. They purchased 15 papers each. I asked so are you extreme couponers? She said she was trying to be. She has only been at it for 2 weeks.
I gave a little motherly advice. I told her that I have been doing it for over a year. And at this point I do not chase every deal. I told her it is easy to watch the show and get sucked in and think that you have to do some huge deal like they show on tv. But our tax in arizona is so high that she should really consider if it is something she truly needs. She asked about my stockpile and I described it to her. She was very impressed but I told her that came over months. You cannot try to get all of that in 1 week. At this point I do only money maker deals. Even "free" is not really because of our tax. A few women stoped to listen and we talked about getting here early again next week and just talking some about it.
I got a ton of rain checks this week. But almost no product. Now I know why. That used to be the occasional thing. So in the past I didn't even really bother with rainchecks. Now since the show they are necessary.

ohio- Will check- I know I have a Danimals, need to look for the others (DN#2 did not get all of my yogurt qs).
Infant seizures- HTH- I had seizures as a baby and although some were febrile, some were non-epileptic that they never found a cause for and I stopped having when I was 3. I just started having them suddenly and stopped just as suddenly- like someone threw a switch.

CA RITE AID HOUNDS (suzi/saveinla): Can either of you confirm that the Blink Tears are $7.99 FREE after SCR this week for us. I should have asked on Friday, but I totally forgot that sometimes CA gets different deals on the SCRs. dancinmama, Yes. They are. I saw them in the ad on Friday, but did not buy it, since SCR starts on 6/5 for that. There are rumors going around that Ups will be restricted to the cards that they were issued on soon, so if you have any, now would be the time to cash them in. HTH saveinla: I was so glad that they were on full SCR for us too. When I went in I COULD HAVE bought (1) for me, (1) for my mom, and (1) for DS; but they only had (3) TOTAL on the shelf, so I only bought (2). The only UP that I have is a $5 one and I'm pretty sure it's generic. My $10 Weekend Warrior UP did not print on the Tylenol Precise and they sent me (2) $5UPs through the mail. Once that one is gone, I'm out - ESPECIALLY if they are going to start tying UPs to Wellness Cards. It's just too far away for me to juggle UPs and cards. I will only be doing the KILLER deals that give UPs and ONLY IF I can turn right around and find something worthwhile to spend them on in the same trip instead of holding them. My RA is across town and I can never count on them having stock; right now with the price of gas, I am being EXTREMELY picky about what I do there. I have been trying to get out since February and here it is June!!

Actually it is sad that when people (not really referring to most of us who have been doing this for a while) need the deals more than ever, they just aren't there like they were. My best deals have been at the Mexican "supermercados" (supermarkets) in my town. This week I got chicken drums for $.69/lb., onions for $.25/lb. and 32 oz. Clamato (we use for bloodies) for $.98. I'm thinking of all different ways that I can make chicken so that we don't get sick of it (barbecue, chicken pot roast, hot "legs" as opposed to hot wings, slow cooked with different flavors of marinades, etc.). Now, when I get the grocery ads, the FIRST ones I look at are the ones from the Mexican markets.

There was NO P&G in any of the papers from one city that I get (their coupons are usually a bit better than my local paper so I usually buy one each week). I was pretty bummed, none in the ones at the grocery store or at the campground

I was pretty bummed, none in the ones at the grocery store or at the campground My DH actually loves reading the Sunday paper and this week I asked for him to get the paper from the city because it was supposed to have the P&G insert. I told him not to buy it if he didn't want to read it anyway, but I wanted the coupons if he did. So he came home with two papers instead of one. I asked why and he said he wanted to read them both, but the one I asked for didn't have any inserts or ads, so he asked and the guy handed him "these". "These" were 4 SS inserts. I was thinking all I wanted was the P&G and now I am the proud owner of 4 SS inserts. if anyone wants a coupon from the SS though I have them. ;D

Rite Aid: At my Rite Aid there were Almay mascaras 75% off $7.99, which came to $1.99. There are $2.00 VV coupons for Almay. Also, awhile back there were tearpads with $3 off 2 Almay products. It had a Rite Aid logo on it, but it was a MQ.

Prayer request for a friend---- A friend of mine just found out that her dad has Lou Gehrig's disease. He's lost 54 pounds in the past 10 months--down to 103 pounds. He can't talk or swallow. She's very close to her dad. She's already lost 3 or 4 uncles in the past 4 years due to cancer. Please pray that he won't be in pain and that Merranda and the family will have the strength to get through this. So sorry Shelly that your friend is going through this. And her poor Dad...that is VERY rough.

Shelly...... prayers out to your friend and her family Nicky...thank you .... yes is very scary when ANYBODY has a seizure , but when is a baby WOW is just that much scary . So far they haven't found anything, but they're still running more tests and we just have to make sure he don't run a fever and if he does even a low temp, we have to give him meds to get it down right away. Bur thank GOD he's doing alot better now I was going to post a HOUND ALERT as well for the Danimals. So, if anyone has any extra after OhioSitter's needs are taken care of, please think of me! OhioSitter - I must have missed your original post. So sorry about what sounds like a baby having seizures.

Especially when it comes to fresh foods such as meats and produce. My only battle is I am really busy and the Mexican marts are about 10miles away and sometimes when I get off work, I just dread having to go into town to buy anything really...but I might start doing it because the Commissary is starting to cost me too much...who woulda thought!

So, I'm pretty excited and proud of myself. I finished entering all my coupons in my coupon spreadsheet I created. I did this for 2 reasons: 1. Because I wanted to find a better way to organize my coupons and 2. As therapy for myself. I'm attaching it, in case anyone else would find it useful. In order to "make it your own" you'll need to delete the tearpad and IP q's I have listed, unless you happen to have those as well. I'm planning to print out by category and this should make it easy to have my coupons at my fingertips. ETA: If anyone is not familiar with the filter and search functions in Excel and needs help, let me know. I kept the categories pretty simple & broad so I think this will work nicely.

OH BTW.....P&G sends TONS of coupons to the commissary and I guess since all of you are talking about it like crazy, the next time I go in and they have some, I could possibly snag them. They pass them out like candy and there is no paper that I have to buy and they are not just military coupons only either. I did score on 4 sticks of Secret for the price of one..huge accomplishment for me!

Just thought I would post about CVS and REVLON. I received a $6 Revlon coupon (Colorstay or Custom creations) on my receipt today and a $3 off $10 (any cosmetic) red box coupon. Makes for a pretty good deal since the eye shadow is $6.99 and there is a powder for $9.99 at my store. There is also a $4 EB WYB $10 this month.

You're in my old neck of the woods. Going into town would be a case of bundling errands so that you make sure that you don't spend more on gas than what you're saving on the deals. I'm trying to think of some specific Mexican markets from when we lived there and off the top of my head I can't think of any, but there may very well be some now.

It would be REALLY interesting to know if the value of the coupons differs from what Californian's normally get in their P&G inserts (back east they often get higher value P&G coupons). It just might be since they are sending them to a military installation.

One of my favorite WAGS cashiers told me this morning that someone came in and took a bunch of newspapers to where she could not see them, took all of the coupons out, and left the papers in the aisle. That show is just making people nuts. I'm almost embarrassed to use my q's...don't want to be lumped in with the crazies! I still haven't received a reply from Kroger from last week's "stupid policy" email. They are usually pretty quick to respond.

There is a 5$ MQ in this week's SS (So Cal got this Q in both papers this week) and you will get back 5 SCR (#36 - limit 2). So profit of 10$ on that one alone. I will be entering the SCR details today and will update if it's cleared. HTH

In addition to the Mexican markets like Vallarta, we also have Cuban and Persian markets here that also have great deals on fruits and veggies. Sometimes these ads also have MQs for coke/pepsi.

I will be entering the SCR details today and will update if it's cleared. HTH saveinla: Thanks for the heads up. I won't know whether I get the Qs until tonight, but I may head over there tomorrow if I get them. That's the EXACT type of deal I'm down to do. ;D

As far as I can see from the WAGS ad, there are no big deals this week. Seeing the OS is buy one get one 50%, can't use the BOGO Q's. The SOBE, Omega fish oil, and Soy supplement where you get the price back in RR's are the only deals I see (as long as you have RR's to pay for them). Am I missing anything? Kathy, It looks like the RR for P&G is overlapping with the RR for Fusion proglide. Here is atransaction courtesy of my frugal adventures. Gillette Fusion Razor $9.89 Buy 4 Gillette Body Wash- projected price $4.99 Buy 2 Gillette Deodorant- projected price $4.99 Subtotal $39.83 Use $4/1 Fusion coupon from 6/5 P&G and Use (2) BOGO Free Body Wash coupons from 6/5 P&G and Use (2) $2/1 Gillette Body Wash, exp. 6-30-11 (RP 05/15/11) and Use B1G1 Gillette Deodorant, exp. 6-30-11 (RP 05/15/11) and Use $1/1 Deodorant from 6/5 P&G Pay $15.86 and get back a $5 RR for the Fusion razor and a $10 RR for spending $30 on P&G. So a net price of $1.86 for all that!

Wow. That's so not nice - imagine the people who buy the papers for their Qs. I've had to start looking through my papers before I buy them. I go to WAGs and grab a couple and go through them, but in full view of everyone and then actually purchase it. I always think someone is going to think I'm stealing the coupons, but so often I got the papers home to have no inserts. I had excellent WAGs experiences today. All the ones in my area have signs up imposing limits on transactions. I never thought I'd like that but I certainly appreciate it now. The manager at my closest store said that last week one woman came through with 14 transactions and that is what caused them to start doing it. They now allow three. I know it would be horrible for a lot of you, but with so many stores in my area it actually makes things easier for me. I was in my closest WAGs today and a woman saw me holding a bottle of the fish oil and told me that "the other one" was there too. I gave her a weird look and she said the soy one was over there too. I thanked her but told her that I wouldn't be getting it because I'm not really in the menopause age range yet and I'm not going to get stuff just because it is free after RR. She (no more than 30) looked like that idea had never crossed her mind. It was free, so she was going to get it.

Going to try and get extra coupons from DB tomorrow when I see him- P&G inserts are usually in the city papers he delivers.
We have to check papers here too. People have stolen inserts for years- in fact people used to steal entire Sunday papers when I delivered them as a kid. We used to throw a paper, go around the block to catch the people (same 2 guys usually- one of whom was another paper carrier).

I still haven't received a reply from Kroger from last week's "stupid policy" email. They are usually pretty quick to respond. My WAGs now keeps the newspapers right at the registers for that very reason. Because WAGs hasn't had very many good deals lately, I only stop by just to get papers. So I usually just walk in and go right to the registers. A couple of weeks ago, the cashier asked me to please not pick up a paper until I'm ready to checkout. She said that alot of people would pick up stacks of papers and take them elsewhere in the store, pull out the inserts, and put the papers back in the stack at the register when they check out! I told her that I wasn't doing any other shopping and that I would check out as soon as I checked the papers. At first, I wasn't sure that EC show would have a widespread impact on people, but now I'm hearing people that I NEVER thought would even think to use coupons are not trying to figure out the coupon game. One person in particular is one of the haughtiest people I know. She'd blow $80 on an everyday outfit for her baby without blinking an eye. Well, now she's trying to figure out how to coupon!
