I have been sitting around the house these three days off. Mostly I have been reading, watching DVDs from Netflix. I watched the whole first season of Queer as Folk. The series started in 2000 and ended in 2005. I think it was a real breakthrough during those years. The story, and the actors, are very good during the first season. I can't wait till Netflix sends me the second season. But while I was watching the episodes I noticed- being a YM person- that all the characters referred to Brian Kinney as "rich". That brought a smile to my face. The guy worked for a living, so that makes him affluent- maybe- but not rich. Then an employee accuses him of sexual harassment and he's suspended without pay. His accountant says that, considering the way he spends, he can survive two months tops without working. He also lives in a beautiful loft, for which he has a lease. His clothes and skin care are all good quality (Armani, Prada, etc.) All his furniture is Italian and high-design. He splurges in $ 5 lattes in the morning. Last but not least, he springs for a brand new Jeep- because he deserves it. At this point, I am a hundred percent certain the Jeep is a lease. I enjoyed the episodes a lot, but I felt an itch to jump into the screen and give him some sorely needed financial advice. ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) You ever felt like this when watching a Tv series, or a movie?

I've never heard of the show (don't have cable) but I can identify with wanting to reach out and wring someone's neck for stupid financial decisions--especially if they are whiney about the backlash or how it's "unfair".

I felt this way watching the Trailer Park Boys. Each season when they get out of jail they try to make some money in different ways and end up giving up and growing more dope. One season they had their money in a savings deposit box that the police didn't find and it was almost painful watching them blowing it all showing off to their friends instead of paying off the trailer. Then you get to the end where they can't make the trailer payment and they have to live in the car.
