Nice Lakhota. Maybe we should adhere to the Dem policy that does nothing. That will be fair. In 10 years the Medicare fund will be broke, and there will be none for anyone. (Except the rich of course, they will be able to pay out of pocket).

Poll: Paul Ryan Unpopular Back Home In WisconsinA new survey of Wisconsin from Public Policy Polling (D) finds that Rep. Paul Ryan (R), whose proposal to privatize Medicare has become the center of national controversy, is now viewed unfavorably by a plurality of voters back home in this perennial swing state. The survey finds Ryan with a personal favorability rating of 41%, with 46% unfavorability. In a hypothetical presidential match-up, President Obama leads Ryan by a margin of 50%-43%. The survey of Wisconsin registered voters was conducted from May 19-22, and has a ±2.4% margin of error. In the previous poll from three months ago Ryan's favorability was at 36%-35%, and six months ago it was at 38%-30%. PPP's Tom Jensen writes: "Ryan's prudent not to run for the state's open [Senate] seat given his decline in popularity on the home front." Other Republicans also trail Obama, by larger margin's than the home-state GOPer Ryan. obama leads Newt Gingrich by 53%-35%, leads Sarah Palin by 55%-36%, and leads Mitt Romney by 51%-39%. tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2011/05/ppp-poll-paul-ryan-unpopular-back-home-in-wisconsin.php?ref=fpc

Sounds as though he is pretty popular with Bill Clinton.

Great video, Marsha. Not that some people will listen-- too busy making push Grandma off the cliff threads, etc, but you put it out there. I do get so tired of Dems saying" Well, all you do is gripe about Obama, but never offer solutions." It does get old.... sure there will be more push Grandma off the cliff type things ahead of us..

And never a response to anything we post, like videos... just ignore..... no counter, just some Huffpo, media matters, whatever new thread.... a bunch of words, never anything showing what we say is untrue, or a legitimate person countering the videos we post.

Fox's Tantaros Falsely Claims Ryan Plan "Doesn't Drive Up The Costs" Of Seniors' Health CareFox News contributor Andrea Tantaros recently claimed that Rep. Paul Ryan's (R-WI) budget proposal would not "drive up the costs" of Medicare because "[Ryan is] bringing it to the private market." In fact, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office estimated that under Ryan's plan, seniors' out-of-pocket health care costs would more than double.Much More: mediamatters.org/research/201105260018

Also, I am trying to understand what pictures are allowed and what pictures are not...

Ryan comes from fourth generation wealth, totally out of touch-tyvm... ;D Paul Ryan comes from generations of hard working, very smart, very gracious, family members and from a fairly small blue collar community which they have been extremely generous to and he is very much "in touch" with still. I know this for a fact as I went to school with several of his family members and grew up in this community. Yes, they do have money so I suppose that is reason enough for you to dislike him.

While we need to do something.... the extremes will never work (both extremes)....
it's funny.... I read this quote and I thought we were back in the 90s when the Clinton's proposed some sort of health care reform.... what did Yogi say, 'deja vu all over again'....
"sure there will be more push Grandma off the cliff type things ahead"
isn't that what the Rs, the insurers and crew said to kill an attmpt and real debate about health care reform back then? It's funny how when the Rs said that back in the 90s it was right... now those who oppose the Ryan extreme plan (there needs to be a middle ground, and sitting on thumbs won't solve it) are using the same game plan and it's now wrong.... very interesting when the table is turned....
The problem, as I see it, is that we have generations (yes plural) of people who live on the government (I mean my) dime.... there are many ways to fix it, but it cannot happen over night... you cannot correct something that has been out of control for generations in one Congressional term (that is where I feel the problem with the Ryan plan is, it's one sided and too much too fast.... if only it would be debated properly and compromises made... but this is Congress, we need to make sure our lobbyists are happy and keep funding our re-election bids)

During the healthcare towhalls a couple of years ago,it was often said by opponents of Obamacare that insurance companies are currently eaking out a meager 3 percent margin. If true,it should be interesting to see how they provide decent affordable coverage to all the elderly boomers that will be flooding their system with high risk exposure while maintaing a profit.

How 'bout just looking at history. Back in 2009, the Boston Globe did an article pointing out the fact that Massachusetts insurance rates had become the highest in the country since the implementation of Romneycare. Not sure that still holds true in 2011, but it's not that much of a stretch to assume insurance companies will maintain profit margins by jacking rates even higher. www.boston.com/news/health/articles/2009/08/22/bay_state_health_insurance_premiums_highest_in_country/

If the Dem policy does nothing, then why all the complaints about Obamacare? (Hint: Obamacare = Obama + Care (including Medicare) ; Obama = Democrat. Read it a few times over if you don't get it the first time)
How about you get your story straight? Probably the best thing to do is stop relying and spouting off contradictory Conservative buzzwords and catchphrases (a sure sign someone's a libertarian in drag); "Obamacare is bad!" and "Dem policy does nothing!" are mutually exclusive, for something bad is necessarily something and therefore can't be nothing.
